That Okuma X Series, when you compare specs, looks to be very similar to the Expride, but the X Series is on sale for just above $200 on tackle warehouse right now and has a lifetime warranty
That's my jam!!!!. I honestly can't go anymore expensive than my mint condition used poison adrena I got off marketplace. Threw a chronarch mgl 151hg on it and it's badass!!!
Trd Bugz are awesome. Killed it all year with them on finesse trd bulletz heads with light bfs setup.green pumpkin, bama bug and black and blue Great stuff guys
Thank you for the buyer’s guide series. Totally appreciate your comprehensive coverage of-in this case-the Ned rig category. Even rods snd reels! I feel like a kid at the Christmas toy store! I’m taking notes and going shopping! Loving it guys!
My favorite: The VMC Ned Rig Jig 4pk has the keeper shape of the ZMan Ned Lockz HD together with the OShaughnessy hook shape of the BKK Silent Chaser Draggin Ned.
Nice overview. A couple things come to mind that I learned from others. 1) Ike shared an idea on putting a ned bait on a compact jig with the skirt trimmed to the bend on the hook, aka "ned jig". 2) Save some $ on buying ned baits by buying a large BULK bag of Senko type baits. Cut to 3-4" size with scissors. It may not have as much secondary action but gets the job done. Food for thought !
Can confirm the Z-Man Goby is the best NED rig in the great lakes right now. I fished this all late summer and fall, and they were crushing them. Everywhere from Lake Michigan, Lake Saint Clair, and into Eerie
I love getting new ideas of baits from you guys. I fish extremely pressured and clear water so every little advantage I can get helps. I have a G. Loomis IMX-PRO 831S NRR for neds with a Shimano Twin Power 2500SHG with 5lb Power Pro braid. I'll be switching between 6 and 7lb fluorocarbon leaders. I think if I decide to upgrade my rod eventually, I'll get the NRX+ 821S.
I'm not gonna lie, I been watching these buyers guides but I am not buying much, I mean ok I'm buying some Evo chatterbait to go with the jh , but even though I have plenty of tackle, ( wife's words) But let's just thank the whole tactical family for the time, effort, knowledge, and everything that goes into 3 videos a week let alone these buyer's guide, no one does it better, I mean you should do a buyer's guide just in tb gear. Unless that's coming this week, happy holidays tactical, too 2024 and more
I can't even tell you how many nice Lake Michigan smallmouth I owe to the Ned Salamanders on a swinging Ned head! Hands down my favorite Ned bait by far! 💰
Man I didn't start using a ned till after the smallies moved out deeper, missed my chance to get em while fishing lake Huron. Now I know why it's called deadly nedly
Watching you guys talk Ned Rigs for the last 5 years or so, (especially the last 2-3) I'm surprised y'all didn't talk about the Swagger Tackle Flanders
BKK Silent Chaser dragging Weedless SIZE 1: Green Pumpkin 1,8 or 1/16 A-EA-2872 3,5 or 1/8. A-EA-2875 BLACK 1,8. A-EA-2859 3,5. A-EA-2862 These are the item nrs😅😅
I'll never nit be a tacticalbassin fan but after the site layout change and the dumpster fire of a black friday sale I'm not shopping with tackle warehouse until they fix things.
I love the Ned Rig. I dont buy anymore of the soft plastics dont get me wrong they are amazing .. i just use ripped up stick worms from my wacky rig days. I sitll have the Zman elaztec neds that they just last almost forever.
I’ve had several Palomar knots break while Ned rig fishing at the jig head on the hook set…using Z-man Nedlocks. 6lb FCsniper leader…my other palomars don’t break…any tips? What am I doing wrong?
@tacticalbassin what size ewg hook would u use for that micro texas rig paired with the TRD Bug? The idea came into my head then u said it!!💪👏 and spinning or casting rod
Haha, I love saying 'Bluetonium' too. God bless you and your families, Merry Christmas! Almost forgot, I can't wait to put a Wacky ring and Neko hook behing the bulging Ned-Gobiez eyes.
I personally can’t stand a spinning rod. To the point I would rather an old school cane pole over one. I’m fishing my NED’S on a BFS setup now. With getting my reel and ordering a blank and building it custom for myself I saved 250$. And have a extra BFS setup now
It's propper Ned season here in the swedish winter (for pearch, the winter river pikes still smash everything in there way) but we also got about 2min of daylight so thinking about to work my way around that with sentence and rattle, heading out tomorow it will be nice and warm +-0 so the reel wont freeze solid to fast. xD Is "rattle ned" anything you tryed out with any sucess or is this one of thouse ides that I shall let just be well ides? xD
Yamamoto Isoroku .. if you don't know who he was.. look it up.. I'll never use Yamamoto baits...but that's because my Great Grandfather perished in that Attack.... I can't help how I feel about that name.. But I enjoy your content fellas... Kudos
I can’t wait for the high end rod buyers guide!!
Thats the juice brother

This is my favorite guide of the year. I wish they did musky gear.
That's my jam!!!!. I honestly can't go anymore expensive than my mint condition used poison adrena I got off marketplace. Threw a chronarch mgl 151hg on it and it's badass!!!
I truly love the passion you guys put in your videos, especially when you’re trying to teach and inform. Thank you 🙏
I think we need tacticalbassin videos 7 days a week all year! 😜
😂😂😂
Love the new 6’10 Bass X as my dropshot rod has such a good action imo absolute perfection for that technique
We need frogs and toads buyer guide too😂 Nice vid👍
Let’s keep going in the buyers guides 👏👏❤️
I've recently been using Ned rigs & learning as I go thanks for info great video.
Trd Bugz are awesome. Killed it all year with them on finesse trd bulletz heads with light bfs setup.green pumpkin, bama bug and black and blue Great stuff guys
I bet that was a RIOT!
Nice! I love catching smallies on the Ned down in San Antonio.
Thank you for the buyer’s guide series. Totally appreciate your comprehensive coverage of-in this case-the Ned rig category. Even rods snd reels! I feel like a kid at the Christmas toy store! I’m taking notes and going shopping! Loving it guys!
#1 most bass producing bait for me this year was the Ned Rig. Finesse at that. Let's Go!!
The Reds definitely love the Neds-Sleeper for Flounder also👍🏻
You guys should do a video on leader length!!!!

Great series! Definitely got a few new baits I’d like to try out.
I finally bit the bullet and got the Expride for my jerkbaits. I’m anxious to try it out this weekend!
I purchased one of the last generation Expride 6'10" med. and it's phenomenal for Jerkbait's. I couldn't pass it up for $189 at TW last year.
Can confirm the Z-Man Goby is the best NED rig in the great lakes right now. I fished this all late summer and fall, and they were crushing them. Everywhere from Lake Michigan, Lake Saint Clair, and into Eerie
Great you guys. Thank you for sharing.
Morning fisherman's readys to learn more whit the Best guys on the game lest go thankz TB
Love the Ned Rig !! 🔥 🔥
I’ve been using the ewg head for more than 2 years now ….90 % of the time !

Yeah the creek I fish in I strictly use EWG ned heads cause its so snaggy
Have had good success with Lifted Jigs Ned EWG.
Watching you guys talk Ned Rigs for the last 5 years or so, (especially the last 2-3) I'm surprised y'all didn't talk about the Swagger Tackle Flanders
There is also a WEEDLESS version of that BKK dragging Ned- head.

Earlier today i made an order for the BKK Weedless dragging NEDs. 😅😋🎣
Robo does have the best colors, but i couldn't put the lil general down this spring. Gobyiashi was the sleeper color for me.
I wish the Shimano Zero Gravity rods would come back on the market, they would be the ultimate Ned/Strolling/BFS rods.
If you were going to Ned Rigs for saltwater what type of rod would you use?
I'll never nit be a tacticalbassin fan but after the site layout change and the dumpster fire of a black friday sale I'm not shopping with tackle warehouse until they fix things.
Hello Tactical Bassin I'm curious why you chose the G.Loomis Spin jig rod over the NRX Ned rig rod?
I love the Ned Rig. I dont buy anymore of the soft plastics dont get me wrong they are amazing .. i just use ripped up stick worms from my wacky rig days. I sitll have the Zman elaztec neds that they just last almost forever.
I’m bout to order one 😂

Trd Bugz on a micro jig.....enough said. And also Owner Ultraheads for weedless applications, especially with baby rage craws.
@tacticalbassin what size ewg hook would u use for that micro texas rig paired with the TRD Bug? The idea came into my head then u said it!!💪👏 and spinning or casting rod
Yes!!!
Vmc makes a swinging ned head as well
I think my reins baits got outed this year lol..Guys what was that pink line D braid.?Thanks.
Haha, I love saying 'Bluetonium' too. God bless you and your families, Merry Christmas!
Almost forgot, I can't wait to put a Wacky ring and Neko hook behing the bulging Ned-Gobiez eyes.
@Tacticalbassin what rod in the 200$ ish range you suggest that can double as a finesse swimbaits rod
If you wanted to throw Neds with Curado BFS, what rod would you pair it with?
Probably the Curado BFS or Expride BFS casting rod?
What is a good casting rod action and power to pair with a curado bfs ?
I mounted mine on the Sensilite 7' Light power for upper finesse. It looks and fishes really well on that rod.
What size reel?
I enjoyed you guys videos. forms us about rods & reels. But I never hear you guys say anything about favorite rods. Why is that?
Thank god
I personally can’t stand a spinning rod. To the point I would rather an old school cane pole over one. I’m fishing my NED’S on a BFS setup now. With getting my reel and ordering a blank and building it custom for myself I saved 250$. And have a extra BFS setup now
Same here

Is "rattle ned" anything you tryed out with any sucess or is this one of thouse ides that I shall let just be well ides? xD
Googan makes a nedvwith a rattle built in. Im sure they arent the originals, but not sure who it is. So rattle ned sounds legit idea
Still no one mentions the Zman hula stickz. That’s what I catch the most fish on with a Ned rig.
Anyone try Grumpy baits Goliath goby? Theyre nice looking baits and reek of garlic.
You guys should have looked at the NetBait Zaga Craw for a creature alternative among other styles of fishing……
We've actually used it extensively, we even have some underwater footage of fish eating it in a few videos. Great bait!
What gear ratio on that Vanford 2500?
Bet it's HG.
Where’s the Rod videos? The TW sale started yesterday and some stuff is already marked low stock
Tomorrow morning 👍🏼 When we chose this schedule it was still a moving target... we got as close as we could.
Thanks guys! Love the content 👍
No micros?
I love when my bait is waggling
Yamamoto Isoroku .. if you don't know who he was.. look it up.. I'll never use Yamamoto baits...but that's because my Great Grandfather perished in that Attack.... I can't help how I feel about that name..
But I enjoy your content fellas... Kudos
Day 1 of asking for a NED RIG SEMIAR🎉
I’ll watch all the videos just to buy another NRX lol
Just here to say try the ned bomb and the trd on a drop shot thank me later

“Ish” rhymes with fish.
