Yep, a thousand lifted everything... Maybe someone can shed light... If people like the look but do not plan on wheeling, no worries, your vehicle will probably still get my attention. But why pay for the Rubicon, Trail Boss, RAPTOR, Power Wagon, etc if you are not going to wheel? Lift a more base model and look cool, but save coin.

In all honesty, the lifted mall crawlers are more reasonable than a lot of these people. They do fine on the road, they'd do terrible on a paved track. People in incapable cars going so far beyond where they belong is even more senseless. It's not like the capable off-roaders that do hit the trails, don't also wind up at the mall. So it's something they can do

It's not just free camping, it's camping, period. I grew up in Utah and we used to go to all the National Parks every year; Zion, Bryce, Arches, Capitol Reef, etc. You could pull in anytime and get a campsite IN THE PARK, no problem. Now you need a reservation 6 months in advance. The parks are packed all year. Not as much fun anymore. Oh yeah, AND GET OFF MY LAWN!

Watching these videos, I cannot believe how lucky I was taking an F-350 PSD, 2 dogs and my wife to Toquerville Falls in this snot without getting stuck or going off an edge.
So many time I had to fight the instinct to lay off the gas.
Keeping the wheels spinning saved me.... gaining grip sometimes at what felt like the last second. 3 wheel drive certainly helped.
Kept finding that red slime caked in places under the truck for the next 1/2 dozen washes.
Meeting Matt almost became a reality....LOL!!

I know the banana is a very capable off-road Jeep but I had a 2008 f150 fx4 with full off-road package and some 35” nitto sand dune tires and this setup was unstoppable. I think mostly it was good clearance with great tires. We are talking pulling fire truck out of ditch in deep snow no problem going thru OBX deep sand with out airing down easy no problemo and deep mud also without hiccups. You guys should start with that platform for another recovery vehicle. Also had the 5.4 with tuner and few other tasteful mods. At flywheel 350hp and 400# torque so plenty of power.

Get out and kick the wet dirt away and it can be dry as a bone 1/2 inch down. I was working a 4wd loader in the rain on a side hill once and it got pretty greasy so I stopped and the loader took off sliding sideways. Had to drop the bucket teeth down to stop.
