Coming from a family where I had nothing in common with my Dad, I'm happy for you, Rudy, to have that to share. It's a rare blessing and I hope you can continue it for a long time coming!
Hopefully he was still a father to you, which is most important thing of all! Me and my dad had little to nothing at all in common, but he still loved and guided me to be a good person, and become the man I am today! He passed away 3 yrs ago, and on that day I lost an amazing father and my best friend.

So true. I told my family and friends when I'm dead don't worry about anything, toss it all. I had fun finding and acquiring whatever it is, it served its purpose.
This is exactly what I thought when I saw what he had and what he was able to give them. A huge relief and satisfaction knowing this is all going to go to good use. Love it!
I bought my 1967 2-door just like the blue one, from the son of the father who passed away. He was going to put a mid-engine Audi 4.2 in it. I just got the car, not interested in the audi. but two weeks later, his son was still trying to sell the engine, and I decide to get it and make the car what he wanted it, and deemed it Project Audacious. There are the start of it on my channel. I am finally now will be finishing it, but it may be yet another Madness Twist. He might or might not have approved, but I gave up trying to sell or give it away (only 1 said if you deliver it 200 miles away) it as I have 12 cars to reduce to 4, but I can't give up on it now and the crusher will be denied.
Not lifetime but I worked on a 1971 BMW 2002 (actually kind of similar styling to a corvair) for years and had accumulated a lot of parts. Due to life being what it is, it wound up in a shed at my parents’ house for several years and had become an ongoing source of friction in the family. I knew it was time to get rid of it but it was in no condition to sell by any means. I was fortunate enough to remember someone who did vintage racing with 2002s and he agreed to take my project and all the parts off of my hands. We both drove about 3 hours and met halfway between our homes and did the exchange from trailer to trailer in a parking lot. I was so happy that it was going to someone who would respect what they had and take care of it.
I wish that my Father & I could still go on a Road trip. I'm jealous of you Rudy because you still get to spend time with your Father. My Father died on 8/21/ 2019
Matt, Thanks for taking the time to say hello while you were at the Maverick store in northern Utah... It was awesome to meet you! Keep up the great work Rudy!!

@Rudy - No, Thank You for sharing with me. You may or may not realize the blessing you have in your Dad. No Dad is perfect in this imperfect world. But Rudy, I’d give pretty much anything to go back and have times like that with my Dad. Pretty special buddy
Very cool gift - the corvair and the time with your dad. Enjoy that - it could end at any time. Ask all the questions about his childhood and family and growing up. If you wait because you have time…..
Those Corsa Coupes are just beautiful. The thin A and C pillars that sweep in such an elegant way. It's the right color too. I have always wanted on of those.
I never paid any attention to Corvairs until I started watching Matt and Rudy’s channels, but now they stand out like a sore thumb whenever I pass one. That car looks great. It would look incredible rebuilt, new paint and restored interior. I love the blue with the white seats. It would be even better with a 3.6 Porsche boxster in the back.
Wow ! Now I've got 'Visions of Yenko Stingers' racing in my head........ All out performance build on the '66. White with Marina Blue Stripes. Excellent Save ! I half expected the Corvair Clubbers to ask for free delivery of the Free Car's and Parts........

I started up my father’s 70 911 after he passed to drove it 550 miles home.It smoked and coughed, my sister thought I was crazy looking at me through the block of blue haze. Two flat tires, dead battery’s, most of the oil on the ground… O hell no problem. Air up the tires charged the batteries, top up the oil.. Did a couple hot laps and made it home!!!
Matt's off road recovery and Corvair rescue!! I have always loved those cars and the 66 convertible deserves a full restoration!! Of the Corvair lineup the two models I have never seen at a cruise night is the van and the pickup!! Keep up the awesome work!! It's always a good morning when I start with one of your videos!!

In 1963 my Dad drove his Corvair across the country from East Texas to Portland Oregon , pulling a trailer full of everything they owned and 6 people in the car . After that my Dad loved the Corvair for being so tough to take all the abuse it did . Later he bought one just like the one that made that trip . Then he bought a red convertible because it was just cool . The top was electric . And his 450SL its top was manual. And he would brag on it all the time . Good memories ✓
I'm very happy that you got a new Corvair and you got to go on a road trip with your dad, You are very lucky to have a father like him, my dad was not half the father that you and your brothers have. You are blessed.!!!!!!
What a trip. My older sister had a 64 Manza Spyder, 150 hp supercharged. It was a red convertible with black interior and top and had chrome spoke wheels. My first car was a 64 Manza. Great cars. You don’t see too many of them these days. Can’t wait to see how you bring them back to their glory!😊
My old stomping grounds. I was up there last year and Cache Valley is still beautiful. Mad props for being able to back a trailer like that. I would be awesome to see u ,ur brother s & Dad come together start a corvair channel , kno y'all got to many projects already but never to busy for family 😁 kno im not the only one who enjoys the corvair content 👌
What a cool video! I was with my dad today working on my '63 Rampside! That's cool you guys saved those Corvairs! That '66 turbo Corsa convertible is definitely worth saving! It appears to be a factory 2S car! If it's an LA built car, that would be icing on the cake! The 65 coupe has a telescoping wooden wheel too! AND YOU DROVE IT TO LUNCH!! So cool! Neat seeing a turbo getting put in the trunk next to a cheapo 64 full size hubcap! Look forward to seeing more videos on these!
You have some great opportunity there to spend time your dad, glad you took up the charge to do it. I didn't really have that growing up as we butted heads too much, things are different now, but he doesn't have the youngish physical body to those things anymore even though he still tries. I will tell you I love that Corsa you picked up and drove, it gave me the desire to get one, it just has a mean charm about it.
I enjoyed watching your adventure with your Dad. You gave me a chance to relive my youth with my own Dad. That blue Corsica is a real gem! Looking forward to seeing you work on it.
Great video. Seeing Rudy and Matt together reminds me of the old times at MORR. Ending up with some great collections of Corvairs- could end up a whole separate side gig for the family. 👍
It's amazing how all this good Corvair stuff just comes to your dad. I would love to find a cheap old Corsa to work with but here in West Virginia there just isn't much around to work with because everything around here is rusted to pieces. I love rear engine cars and have a couple Smart Cars but I'm a Chevy fan for sure. Good luck with those projects.
I love watching both the yard channels.Rudy originally got introduced to you through your dad.She went 20 years ago yet.Now we put you in the driver's seat and you gotta drive there.Good luck hope you'll get them
The Corvair version of Bo, Luke and Daisy Duke! Paint a 1/2 symbol on it and go jump a few ditches! Love the video. Good job Rudy for saving these really cool cars.
sqwreek! It's been so many years since I heard the old sound of squealing tyres. Tyres already didn't squeal like that when I learned to drive in '91, they kind-of scraped instead. It took me right back to when I was very little. We lived in London and there were all kinds of nutcases on the roads. ;) One time, when I was very small, I even saw a police car chase! As I later learned, it was a Rover P6 pursued by a Rover P5 police car. The P6 has nearly the proportions (if not the style) of a Corvair, while the P5 is a flouncy 50s car made for Britain's tiny roads; tall and kind-of narrow. Every time that memory comes back to mind, I'm struck by the sheer amount of roll as the P5 took a corner! The P6 didn't exactly stay level, but the P5 must have been this close to rolling over! XD I'm also struck by the police car's colour; a bright blue like a toy, with a single round flashing light.
You found a gold Mine. I love Corvair's. I used to sell Chevrolets in the 60's and loved Corcair's over all others. I bought several. It is the only car other than the German makes that you can have a head on Collision and still have Transportation home if you always carry a Chain.
Rudy, I am so happy for you! I am looking for a light blue or aqua 65 - 69 Corvair convertible with the matching interior. I might settle for a hardtop or another color but I am looking for a Cool Corvair. You all got me hooked on them.
That is awesome that you were able to save those cars. I have memories of riding in a Corvair with my Dad. He was Vice President of the Montpelier National bank in Vermont back in the 60's. The bank had a car that was available to the bank executives. It was a convertible Corvair. Can't tell you any more about it other than it was a blast to ride in. I would love to have one myself.
My family had a Corvair and my oldest sister learned to drive in it. I love that you guys love these cars so much. Can't wait to see what you do with them.
Matt, you become a different person when you get around Corvairs. Lol It’s fun to watch and very cool seeing you guys bring these old cars back to life.
What a haul! I believe that MORR has the market cornered on Corvair parts. I also noticed that apparently Caitlyn only wears pink pants to go out on recovery missions.
My two cents, if the convertible is rare, do a restoration on it even if that just means taking care of rust and getting her properly reassembled with the correct parts. Oh, and that jeep in the driveway? It looks like a 1946-49 CJ2A. Cool that someone added a second fuel tank under the passenger seat. Mine is _almost_ exactly the same, except that the dealership stretched it two feet directly behind the front seats. It's my daily driver, and I'd love to bring it down to Hurricane and spend a few weeks shadowing you guys while I learn to drive it in the sand and rocks. It's no stranger to recovery. I've rescued a number of vehicles with a strap by dead pull. One was a crew cab dually diesel RAM stuck in the snow in the ditch outside my house. It was buried to the bottom of the driver's side window and four wheel drive was broken. A dead pull in first/low with chains on all for corners of the jeep pulled it right out. :D
Thks Richard and Leanne for your donation to Rudy snd Matt, who are avid Corvair lovers like you guys were. Rudy, the Corvair your got is pretty clean. If the convertible is rare, Matt should fix it up and cruise it. Great video🤙😎
I live in that neighborhood you guys were in in Logan and drove past a couple times while you were there. I didn't recall seeing any followup on the MORR channel so i was wondering what was up with that trip. Glad i found it on this channel even if it's half a year later, LOL.
I fondly recall crawling in attics areas like you did here with Dad when he was gathering 1940 Continental parts. There were still NOS at some dealers in those days. Dad put together and restored 2 1940 Continentals. One won a FOMOCO trophy.
Coming home from college in my cousins Corsa Convertible, we did the dreaded 360 just driving down the highway at 55-60. The car stayed in it's lane but scared the shit out of us.
Rudy you dad's grandkids are going to be working on his project's. You both got to many projects going on or in the yard to get them done in your lifetime, but it is good to save these cars that you love.
Awesome acquisition! That convertible looks like it could be sweet. A note as a long time sub (and fan when you were on your dad's channel). I love that you have product placement to keep your channel going and have no issue with what you have been promoting to date. Shop tools, off road apps, etc. But upside? This app tracks users driving, spending, and who knows what ever else, basically for free. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
My dad passed in 09. He was into boats. We would go to one of the local boat ramps on a weekend afternoon and watch drunk people try and load boats. Free show.
If your ever in Colorado for a weekend you can join me in doing exactly this I usually bring iceEd bloody Marys and we camp out so we can get extra trashed
That was a fine journey back into the past to reminisce about this type of car. My sister had one of these cars and I'm trying to remember my history with it. I'm going to show this to my sister and see if she can remember which one it was. This was about 65 years ago, and I don't remember if it was new or used at the time. She said that her Corvair was a 1963, just a little earlier that your 1966. Hope you get yours running smoother and can race it too.
Thanks, Rudy you bring back some good memories to this old man I live down in Yucca Valley just by Johnson Valley there for a close to 30 years rock, crawling and doing all kinds of crazy stuff now I moved to Texas and I can’t do any of that I sure miss rock crawling building and just having fun you guys make day

Nice work Rudy
Rudy,
I am so happy for you! I am looking for a light blue or aqua 65 - 69 Corvair convertible with the matching interior. I might settle for a hardtop or another color but I am looking for a Cool Corvair. You all got me hooked on them.
Good job Rudy, I'm glad you got your dad to go along with you!
Nice acquisition Rudy, The hard top is a sweet ride. The convertable will be a great show car after the rebuild rescue!👍
Nice to see you Rudy and your Dad go off and save some Corvair parts and mobiles, hope to see them in the future, Love that convertible
My family had a Corvair and my oldest sister learned to drive in it. I love that you guys love these cars so much. Can't wait to see what you do with them.
Good morning Rudy seeing you and your dad working together was definitely a nice surprise. I always enjoy your videos
Looking forward to seeing you and the Corvair in Tucson! It's a blast there.
Matt, you become a different person when you get around Corvairs. Lol
It’s fun to watch and very cool seeing you guys bring these old cars back to life.
What a haul! I believe that MORR has the market cornered on Corvair parts. I also noticed that apparently Caitlyn only wears pink pants to go out on recovery missions.
Cool video, Rudy. Good to see you two spending time together since we don't see you on his channel much.
Just started watching, love Rudy’s excitement.
Thks Richard and Leanne for your donation to Rudy snd Matt, who are avid Corvair lovers like you guys were. Rudy, the Corvair your got is pretty clean. If the convertible is rare, Matt should fix it up and cruise it. Great video🤙😎
The pleasure Rudy experienced working with his grumpy old dad was evident on his face. Seize the day.
Always look forward to an adventure with Rudy.
Great to see you and your dad together again
Very nice car I love that body style the best.
I live in that neighborhood you guys were in in Logan and drove past a couple times while you were there. I didn't recall seeing any followup on the MORR channel so i was wondering what was up with that trip. Glad i found it on this channel even if it's half a year later, LOL.
I think you all should have a Corvair Roundup and Rodeo, complete with Country music and old school Rock & Roll, along with a sanctioned PBR event.😊
That’s awesome so many project cars that even future grandkids are going to have the opportunity to make memories
That car is beautiful! Thanks for taking the time to save it and I know you will enjoy it ✓
My dad specialized in servicing Corvairs at Miller Chevy in Grand Haven, MI back in the 60’s.
Heck ya. More corvair content. Love Corvairs, love seeing them on the tube
Rudy you are rolling out these vlogs. Very entertaining my brother. 💙🌍🙌🏼
You and yours put out quality early morning content! Thanks for the vids.
Excellent video! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Rudy you bring back some good memories to this old man I live down in Yucca Valley just by Johnson Valley there for a close to 30 years rock, crawling and doing all kinds of crazy stuff now I moved to Texas and I can’t do any of that I sure miss rock crawling building and just having fun you guys make day
Seeing you and Matt with Corvairssure makes me want to look for one to buy. I like your passion!
I hope you will fix up one of them for Janelle. She helps you so much and deserves it.
She would look so great in the convertible.
What a Find! I'd really love to see both of these Corsas restored to original condition. If I only had the money.... I sure don't have the expertise.
