The inspiration of Dragon Ball Z can be found in the first hanging lantern (?) at Sensoji temple. I have a super blurry pic of it but you can definitely tell the resemblance! Thanks for letting me invite my Saturday with such a beautiful journey through Asakusa!
Merry Christmas to you both and thank you for another cool video,,,been watching your Thailand videos today and you’ve been a inspiration to me this week, I have even got my camera out and started taking photos again,,,definitely will not be long before your subscribers go right up they are going up daily,,,,peace and happiness to you both,,,Geff❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hi from Japan🤗 The roller coaster that pops up in the video is actually the oldest one in Japan, built 71 years ago! The amusement park has been around even longer, ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanayashiki) and I think younger people see it as this "retro amusement park" that feels way cooler than the newer ones. 😊
Woah, thank you so much for sharing. Honestly had no idea about Hanayishiki. Can't believe there is an entire amusement park behind that gate. And such a historical one too. Definitely checking it out on our next trip to Asakusa. Happy holidays from us 💚❤️
3:17 Late with my viewing 😢 but I am here! OMG. Is that Ikkaku??? I had that same chicken in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. Saw it in Mark Wiens' pre-pandemic vlog. It.is.next to none. Truly yummy. I remember there were 2 options (in Ikkaku) - old chicken 🐔; young chicken 🐥. Old chicken will have tougher but more flavorful meat while the young one will be tender but less flavorful. Had the young one and it was so so good. Decadent dish!
Woah! Different shop but the style of honetsukidori chicken is the same. We also had the option to pick between the 2 types of chicken. Definitely a decadent experience. Going to look for the Mark Wiens Osaka video you mentioned! 😊
Beautiful content as always. I am going there last week of February. My friend can you tell me what camera is the one you have on your neck, the black one. Thanks.
Asakusa is one of my favorite places in Tokyo. There's so much to see. There's a sign near the shrine where I put one of my stickers. It might not be there any more as people put a lot of stickers on it.
One of our favorite places too. We end up visiting it on every trip and always find a different side of it we haven't see yet. I wonder where the sticker you left is haha
@@RalphSam It was somewhere near the last street before you reach the temple grounds. I also left one near Hachiko's statue, hehe. I should visit and check it.
what day were you guys there in Japan? I am planning for my Japan trip next year probably around Oct-December, looking for nice cool autumn weather and fall foliage. What month do you recommend for first time traveler?
Great video! Harenoichi was recommended to me by a local in a bar on my last trip and I didn’t make it there so it’s on my must eat list for my next trip in feb 25. Can you please share the name and or maps link to the chicken on the bone restaurant?!?❤
Nice to hear it's recommended by locals. The yakitori and vibe were really great, not too busy for asakusa either. A definite gem. For the chicken copy paste the Japanese name in Google Maps: 骨付鳥 一之亀
both delicious! the japanese chicken was on the umami, garlic peppery side with crispy skin and dripping with oil. inasal is more lemongrassy and drier because the sauces and oil are separate. 🍗😋
What a wonderful vlog, enjoyed every minute of it...and the b-rolls and photographs are top-notch as always. 📸📹🧐🤓😍😄
Thank you very much! Happy holidays 😊❤️
Unmatched vibes & soundtrack as always 🇯🇵✌️
A BeardedDante comment always makes our day!

I had the same thought: one day we will dine at the Hoppy Street too, but we ended up running out of time for that. Maybe next visit.

Did you get that cross necklace? It was stunning! I miss that festival but not the crowds! Lovely place and video

Can you post the link for the chicken place in Asakusa? It looks heavenly!! 😍
The name is only in Japanese 😊 Paste this on Google Maps: 骨付鳥 一之亀
Beautiful pictures as always ❤ what camera do you use? And do you edit them to get that look? Makes me wanna go to Japan and learn photography 😂
Thank you! I use either a Ricoh for digital or Olympus for film. I use the standard color profiles on Lightroom ❤️
And oh, Merry Christmas, Neighbors! 😊🎉❤
Merry Christmas, neighbor!!! ✨️🍵💚❤️
im waaaay too early but HEY!!
thanks for being early!! 🙌🏻😊
Asakusa is such a lovely vibe. Best food reco?
It is! Grilled chicken, menchi katsu, our izakaya dinner, and all the matcha 🍗✌🏽🙂↕️🙂↕️✌🏽🍗
The hotel looks nice, where did you guys stay?
dash living! 😊
Hey Ralph, which camera/lens are you using in this video? It looks nice and compact.
On a closer inspection, it looks like a Ricoh, isn’t it? Which model?

How did the chicken compare to inasal chicken?
both delicious! the japanese chicken was on the umami, garlic peppery side with crispy skin and dripping with oil. inasal is more lemongrassy and drier because the sauces and oil are separate. 🍗😋

Yo what’s the name of the chicken spot
Copy paste this Japanese name on google maps: 骨付鳥 一之亀
What do you do with all these digital photos like no one cares about the digital camera from the early 2000s enough
I just do it for the memories. It looks digital but I use an Olympus mju ii film camera. My second little camera is a Ricoh if I need it on digital.
