We purchased a '24 ACURA MDX A-SPEC and it is beautiful. Drives like a sports car with all the benefits and cargo space of a 3 row SUV. Coming out of BMWs. No longer willing to pay the obnoxious price to a BMW or the post-warranty maintaince and repair costs.
Congrats! We have the 2023 MDX Advance and it’s amazing, getting a 2025 X5 soon too (also a great vehicle and it has more performance than the MDX but I understand not everyone wants to put up with the maintainence)
We have both mdx and qx60. We prefer the qx60. The exterior and interior design look better and more luxurious. The front end of the qx60 is more handsome and and interior materials are more luxurious. (Not a lot of plastic like the one in MDX) While the handling on the MDX is probably better, the qx60 is more comfortable and smooth to drive. The MDX is loud while the qx60 is quiet and more refined. MDX doesn’t have air vents on the 3rd row while the qx60 has 3rd row air vents and they are over the head air vents. The infotainment touchscreen is also much easier to use.
I disagree about the front end. The QX60 grille is awful, and that's the only complaint I have about the exterior. It has a bulky feel that doesn't appeal to me. The dash setup of the MDX appealed more to my taste. I liked the cockpit feel of the MDX more so than the QX, but I agree the QX interior is great looking. Actually, this last January, my wife and I left to go buy the QX60 because we liked its luxurious look from all the pictures we saw on the internet plus the ones we saw on the road. On the way to the dealership, we decided to stop by Acura just to see the MDX, which I agree has a more bland exterior. The moment we stepped inside the MDX, we loved it. We loved the huggy feel, and we did the test drive, which was a winner because my wife said she felt good behind the wheel. She said the MDX had a small feel, which made her feel comfortable since that was her concern about getting these mid-size vehicles. We let and still went to Infinity dealership. I tell you, we both sat behind the wheel and just didn't get that same feeling from it. The interior, yes, was nice, but it felt like a big vehicle and lacked the cockpit feel. Suffice to say, we returned to Acura and bought the MDX. both are good vehicles...just a matter of what appeals to one's taste. I also added the body side molding option, which I felt helped to elevate the exterior look. I don't see any other MDX in our area. So we are quiet happy.
@@s.patterson5698MDX is lacking some basic things such as third row climate vents (which for a three row family suv should be something included, no questions asked) In addition, I think the feature distribution throughout the different trim levels is stupid. Heated steering wheel and key fob remote start aren’t standard until the advance… while those things could be equipped through dealer accessories, still not good that the 55k ish MSRP for a Technology model doesn’t include these simple things from the factory. Also, the 360 camera should be put on the Technology trim, leaving it for the advance is just not a good idea. (The QX60 includes 360 camera and key fob remote start from the factory on the Luxe and higher trims, plus every single QX60 trim gets a heated steering wheel from the factory) I also think that the MDX should get a touchscreen because having it a touchpad exclusive setup is possibly going to be a distraction and it makes use of the system a bit more finicky. While the MDX isn’t a bad car necessarily, there are quite a few things about it that make it a bit disappointing to me.
@Robert.a._ Those things aren't important to me. What is important is the look of the dash setup, functionality, reliability, and how I feel when around the steering wheel. I had every intent to buy the QX60, but when I got around the steering wheel there was just a clear difference between it and the MDX, and both my wife and I knew that instantly. It wasn't even a debate. Third row vents are an afterthought when you consider factors when that will be used in real life. I have been into many third row seats, including the MDX, where there are no vents. Are you telling me that someone in the third row is going to die from lack of oxygen during a 30 minute ride? There is sufficient air circulation in the cabin and no one is going to be riding across country in the third row because there is no way you can fit luggage for six people behind the third row to accommodate all the passengers. With there being only two in our family, that is not a priority. I agree the remote start should be standard. But again, that is not a priority to me. The most important things are what I mentioned earlier, reliability and comfort level around the steering wheel. The latter is really a personal thing and that can vary from individual to individual. I liked everything about the QX60(except the front grille) and would have bought it, but just wasn't feeling that comfort level behind the wheel
The Infiniti interior it's definitely more luxurious. And I absolutely love the way it looks.. but the Acura isn't too bad looking either but I prefer the interior of the Infinity but with Acura reliability.
Awesome job! This is BY FAR the best type of vehicle comparison content I’ve ever seen.. I really appreciate the split screen approach to comparing features!! Please continue using this approach!! Thanks!
We have a 23 qx60 autograph and we love it. Every feature is luxurious and it never feels like you’re driving a suv. The piano black on the outside is hard to keep clean but so worth it for that two tone look. I have yet to find something that I truly dislike about this suv
Bought the 2023 QX60 Sensory with the vision package ($65,000 or so). The Vision package includes the heads-up display among other things. I love the high res. LCD rear mirror for great rear visibility and the 360 degree cameras. For most people the 295 hp 6 cylinder engine is plenty of power. I find the compromise between handing and comfort to be about right for me. I may never utilize the third row seating but it’s nice to know that I could if needed. Also, premium fuel is an option, not a requirement. Many years ago I owned an Acura CL Coupe Type S. (3 liter v6 @260 hp). I really liked the car with the exception of the handing which was significantly below par. The Infinity will be my first Nissan purchase although my dad had a 1982 Nissan Maxima. It was a great car for the time. Happy so far…😊
I went with the QX60 Sensory. 2nd row bench seat instead of buckets. The only difference between the Sensory and Autograph is the quilted leather and black roof.
I think the Infiniti’s interior looks more premium especially with that stitched dashboard. The touchscreen is a nice benefit as well. The Acura definitely drives much than the Infiniti, especially in that Type S trimI’m excited to see how the TX compares, it offers more power, cooled seats and rear steering, which are nice features
Don’t be fooled The rear steering is nonexistent. It’s not gonna drive like the 4 corner steering in the ct6 Not to mention that the PHEV won’t be all that powerful even though it seems like it has 400hp.
@@naveenthemachine I sure do hope that a smaller car with 4-wheel steering has a better turning radius than a 3-row family SUV. Also you haven’t driven the TX, you can’t conclude on anything none of us can
My wife just picked up a 23 qx60 sensory with vision package awesome suv looks inside and out and rides awesome…we had a mdx yrs ago and was nothing but problems was at the dealership for repairs then at home we had it for few months then dumped it and got a highlander had zero issues traded with 132k mikes for the qx60 sensory we don’t like the mdx now and will never buy Acura again
I never understood the great reliability that everyone claims Honda/Acura to have. My brother had a 2011 Accord as his first car, bought with 45k miles, ran perfectly. Fast forward 3 1/2 years, nothing but countless repairs, and then the engine decided to just suck in the catalytic converter and self destruct itself. 98k on the dash.
Nice informative review, would be better if you covered which of the 2 has more maintenance/repairs fees, cost to insure, second hand value. As ppl tend to ignore these on their reviews which in the long run are the most important

Both of them is nice, but I will work with the Acura y because it’s got massage seats, and the interior lights and the 10 speed transmission… I love the infinity style outside and I love inside it’s fully leather
I'm cross shopping these 2, and it's a hard choice. The Infiniti has a more refined luxury to it. But the MDX is more nimble, has a superior AWD system, and superior sound system. Plus the MDX comes out cheaper at the highest trims. I'd take the MDX A-spec, which even less expensive and has a more sporty vibe.
@@chargedx1 The MDX A spec has a different style, where it has a different exterior look. From what I hear, MDX is more focused on a a bit more sporty driving experience, and the SHAWD system which helps that. In that regard, the MDX likely does better. While the MDX isn’t a bad car at all, it’s kind of something to note 🤷🏻♂️
Owning both brands over and over, the mdx is almost unbreakable and over time, the infiniti will start to show some issues here and there. Overall the MDX will give you more complements than the infiniti. However the infiniti drives stronger than the acura with a much stronger suspension system. They are both good in their own ways.
Good comparison review. Just to follow up, the 25 MDX Advance now has massaging front seats. That said, just swapped out our 22 MDX Tech for a 24 MDX Advance.....ZERO regrets in getting the MDX. Honestly, aside from the GTR and Z, Nissan products do nothing for me.
We have a QX60. Yes it’s 10 years behind everything else, but that’s what we love about it. We’ve put 65k on it so far with zero issues. We’ve wanted several times to upgrade to a different model but somehow that car manages to find a way to just stick around
Neither, I take the Genesis GV80 hands down! But for the sake of this review, I choose the Infiniti QX60 for ease of use infotainment and more modern interior and exterior. Especially, with the two-tone roof. The complimentary maintenance is a plus, just like with the GV80!
@@rahimi4762 Because the MDX desperately needs an interior and exterior redesign. All that gloss black and no touchscreen infotainment is what aging the MDX. Aesthetically, the QX60 interior is more modern with the cohesive premium interior.
I have a 5th CRV before and change to a new 23pathfinder. i like both nissan and honda, cause this 2 company improve their own product with good features from rivals. both do decent job and trouble free with a good resale value after 5-7 yrs. thats all i need
I’d take the MDX over the QX60 any day, but I must admit Nissan does a great job utilizing the little resources they have. You can tell Nissan barely has the budget as Honda’s revenue is almost double and the D-Platform that the QX60 is riding is 16 years old.
I like them both. I will be purchasing a new vehicle in the next 90 days. My heart is with ACURA but we have been looking at other options. Great Job thank you for the review.
I think you guys also need to talk about reliability. Also, you forgot to mention the ambient lighting in the MDX, which adds a more luxurious feel. Personally, I like both, but I give the MDX another point for the better exterior styling. The qx60 has too much black plastic around the vehicle and doesn't look much better than the pathfinder.
The Sensory trim is one trim below the Autograph & it's the highest trim you can get with a second row bench for the QX60. And you can still get the Saddle Brown leather interior on the Sensory trim as well
I just took delivery of my QX60 three weeks ago. Coming out of two BMW leases prior to the QX60 makes this a tough review. That said, I love my QX60! In my opinion the design is sleek, modern, and overall very sharp looking. The cabin offers a ton of luxury features (even on lower trim levels), and the seats are probably the most comfortable I’ve sat in. The ride quality is great with quick acceleration. The ride can sometimes be a little bumpy, but overall the car drives very smoothly. In general, I love my QX60 BUT if BMW changes their design language, I’ll be back.
I’d take the MDX Love how you guys compare different cars, I’ve been reviewing and keeping up with your channel for a awhile now, as I am comparing different cars and crossovers as hopefully ill be upgrading to a new car within about 2 years from now. Thank you guys
MDX all the way! At least for me as a guy. We have both cars in our family. MDX is manly vs QX60 being girlish. MDX has better and much more aggressive handling, driving dynamics and over all performance while QX60 is plush and luxurious. Also MDX sounds system is MUCH better!
I know for Longevity the Acura would be a good pick. No car is perfect, but i have been hearing people having issues with Honda/Acura products with the Vehicle not wanting to start over time. I know Nissan Products aren't what they used to be like in the 80s&90s. But I'd actually word choose this Infiniti over the Acura. If we were talking about a Sedan then the TLX over the Q50 any day. But i would choose the Q60(although discontinued) over all.
love these comparisons Keep them coming! :) as much I love the Acura/Honda Brand... that QX60 looks beautiful to be honest! in person they are stunning! just wish Infiniti offered to have the chrome removed..... from FACTORY! they would sell a lot more! not a fan of the chrome exterior bits
this is a great video, thank you for comparing direct segment rivals across brands like this. what do you think the closest competition to the jaguar f type is?
As much as I love Nissan I'm going to have to go for the Honda because I have wireless Apple carplay and Android auto I do not like the fact that the Infiniti has Wireless Apple carplay but no Wireless Android auto so I'm going to have to go for the Acura cuz it has Wireless Apple carplay and Android auto in for the luxury side of things the Infiniti is good but I'm still going for Acura
I'm actually on the market for this vehicle segment. Test drove the QX60 last week. And it was smooth. It feels so roomy in the inside, my right elbow doesn't touch my wife's elbow when we rested them on the center arm pad. Seats are comfy, firm but plush, scoop my back in without being huggy (I hate the feeling of being in a tight space that I cannot move my shoulders freely). The road/engine noise... quite. So quiet that the turning signal ticking sound is barely noticeable. Body roll? None, or minimum. I actually tried a sharp 90 degree turn without braking. This SUV feels like it sticks to the road, low profile, feels like driving a long sedan. Funny that I feel the extra length when driving while my wife said no difference than our 2 row SUV. Our priorities are: * Smooth ride * Comfy seats * Useful functional features (heated steering wheel, heated/ventilated seats, 360 camera, adaptive cruise control, hands free trunk, heated second row, easy to use center console) * Nice interior (of course, otherwise we'd go Honda/Nissan) * Nice exterior Not so much priorities: - Engine power/torque (this a family hauler, not a race car to us) - Speed/acceleration (QX60 has enough speed, won't floor it at every red light anyway) - Handling (won't drive like a mad man on the road) Plus, due to the lack of popularity for some reason, Infiniti give huge discounts. I mean, it's a nice 3 row luxury SUV with V6 N/A and no CVT with 10% off MSRP. Solid family car.
Started listening to you guys lately during my next SUV research, great work gents. Both these cars were part of the pool of vehicles I tested and researched and this comparison is top notch based on my own findings. One thing I would like to bring your attention towards is the overall quality of these vehicles which adds to the luxury as well. As an example, when closing the doors on the QX60, they sound very hollow and no different than the Pathfinder whereas the MDX doors sound nothing less than a Lexus and way better than a Pilot. Also the quality of the door handles is way superior in the MDX and factors like this should be used towards luxury items the vehicle offers….my two cents 🙂 Keep doing the great work!
The difference is minimal. Given interest rates and lease money factor and a lack of factory to dealer incentives I’ll take the Acura Advance but the 2023 model which I purchased on Labor Day. I’m happy with the vehicle so far. Money is expensive right now.
GREAT review as usual..... question to anyone: What if you put regular non premium gas into the QX-60....is that ok to do? Do you ruin the engine or does it just mean 5 less HP? Thanks
Love both vehicles. The only thing that I went with the MDX was its height. A 1/2 inch made a different for me to get in and out. This may not matter to others but for me it makes a big different. I love the services at Infinity much better than Acura though.
MDX. I get the no-touchscreen. Question: Does Advance have regular NAVIGATION- that is not iPhone or Android based? If so....how do you put in the destination address. Thanks, appreciate this video I've used it multiple times...
@@CarConfections Appreciate the reply. Is the voice recognition pretty precise in that you can slowly say an address once, and it works? If I get one I'm thinking just spend time initially rattling off my regulars so it's not an every day thing.
If you test drive both you would love the interior materials in the QX60 more. The TX has some plastics as interior. Lexus may have better longevity but it doesn’t out stand unless you keep the car for longer than 10 years.
You have missed one very important thing in this type of vehicles: their AWD system, which is so important in turning a corner or driving in snow. The sh-awd in MDX is way better and deserves a full point.
I took a test drive on the Acura MDX. For me it was not comfortable. I tried to access the third row and found my self crawling. I tried the second row and it was too tight. No leg room. Maybe its ok for a skinny person like you guys. For me, I guess the QX60 has more room.
Acura must loose the track pad. Infinity base model is nicer, with leather seats and power folding mirrors. The infinity lacks storage in the front console area. Remote start is extra on the base model.

Neither, I take the Genesis GV80 hands down! But for the sake of this review, I choose the Infiniti QX60 for ease of use infotainment and more modern interior and exterior. Especially, with the two-tone roof. The complimentary maintenance is a plus, just like with the GV80!
the mdx also has complementary maintenance.
MDX How is Infiniti more modern? Lol
@@rahimi4762 fr 😭😭
@@rahimi4762 Because the MDX desperately needs an interior and exterior redesign. All that gloss black and no touchscreen infotainment is what aging the MDX. Aesthetically, the QX60 interior is more modern with the cohesive premium interior.
Qx60
I have a 5th CRV before and change to a new 23pathfinder. i like both nissan and honda, cause this 2 company improve their own product with good features from rivals. both do decent job and trouble free with a good resale value after 5-7 yrs. thats all i need
I’d take the MDX over the QX60 any day, but I must admit Nissan does a great job utilizing the little resources they have. You can tell Nissan barely has the budget as Honda’s revenue is almost double and the D-Platform that the QX60 is riding is 16 years old.
You’re a paid troll..
100% Infiniti Nissan is crap
@@RealKevGotEm Yeah my 2017 QX60 just rolled 100,000 trouble free miles. It’s been a total POS…
@@The_Hi_Life woah
The Infiniti looks better. Acura always give me Honda (although it is a luxury Honda)
I like them both. I will be purchasing a new vehicle in the next 90 days. My heart is with ACURA but we have been looking at other options. Great Job thank you for the review.
Same can’t decide between mdx and infinity lol
I own both vehicles and although I love my MDX I will choose Infinity again and again! The smooth and luxurious on an Infinity it’s top notch!
I'll definitely pick the MDX!!!
This is a great comparison video. I'm currently in a QX 60 as a loaner. So far I like it. Very smooth ride.
I would go with the MDX because of Nissan's spotty reputation these past few years. If I were buying used, definitely the MDX.
Their bad reputation is due to their CVTs, which are now improved and competitive. Still this QX60 does not use a CVT
@@jz7551also Nissan is not partnering with Renault any more
The Sensory trim is one trim below the Autograph & it's the highest trim you can get with a second row bench for the QX60.
Thank you!
MDX all the way! At least for me as a guy. We have both cars in our family. MDX is manly vs QX60 being girlish. MDX has better and much more aggressive handling, driving dynamics and over all performance while QX60 is plush and luxurious. Also MDX sounds system is MUCH better!
Infinity is miles ahead compared to Acura. Super design & good price.
I bought 2024 infiniti qx60 and I love it very much...the best suv in the market ❤❤❤
They do have black out packages etc.
this is a great video, thank you for comparing direct segment rivals across brands like this. what do you think the closest competition to the jaguar f type is?
Qx60 two tone is a beauty, Infiniti hasn't fail me ever but been wanting an MDX let alone Acura again.
I love my qx60, for me it’s much friendly user and have a very smooth ride, 0 problem at all. Very quiet
Buying the mdx and leasing the QX60
This took me back to how guys use to do your older reviews, something nostalgic about it!
I am Team Infiniti for life
As much as I love Nissan I'm going to have to go for the Honda because I have wireless Apple carplay and Android auto I do not like the fact that the Infiniti has Wireless Apple carplay but no Wireless Android auto so I'm going to have to go for the Acura cuz it has Wireless Apple carplay and Android auto in for the luxury side of things the Infiniti is good but I'm still going for Acura
I agree! If Infiniti offered Android Auto, that would change my stance.
Our priorities are:
* Smooth ride
* Comfy seats
* Useful functional features (heated steering wheel, heated/ventilated seats, 360 camera, adaptive cruise control, hands free trunk, heated second row, easy to use center console)
* Nice interior (of course, otherwise we'd go Honda/Nissan)
* Nice exterior
Not so much priorities:
- Engine power/torque (this a family hauler, not a race car to us)
- Speed/acceleration (QX60 has enough speed, won't floor it at every red light anyway)
- Handling (won't drive like a mad man on the road)
Plus, due to the lack of popularity for some reason, Infiniti give huge discounts.
Also the quality of the door handles is way superior in the MDX and factors like this should be used towards luxury items the vehicle offers….my two cents 🙂
Keep doing the great work!
Thanks! Glad we can help
Thanks
Thanks! It's totally fine to do that. As you said, you will produce about 5 less horsepower
Love both vehicles. The only thing that I went with the MDX was its height. A 1/2 inch made a different for me to get in and out. This may not matter to others but for me it makes a big different. I love the services at Infinity much better than Acura though.
Acura all day especially for holding it's value!
MDX. I get the no-touchscreen. Question: Does Advance have regular NAVIGATION- that is not iPhone or Android based? If so....how do you put in the destination address. Thanks, appreciate this video I've used it multiple times...
It does. The best way is to use voice commands because typing without a touchscreen is tedious
@@CarConfections Appreciate the reply. Is the voice recognition pretty precise in that you can slowly say an address once, and it works? If I get one I'm thinking just spend time initially rattling off my regulars so it's not an every day thing.
It would be great if you all could add in a 0-60 dash thingy. Your fans need numbers!
The Infiniti is quicker, 0-60 at about 6.5-6.7 seconds while the MDX comes in at around 7.0 seconds or higher.
I love the QX60, but my biggest concern is the transmission. Can I get an advice?
I’ll take MDX over than the QX60
That's because you don't know any better.
I'll still take the Acura.... over and over again.

@@isaiahthegamer5648good to see you here! I would take the MDX also. But in lower trims, I’ll lean towards the QX.

Straight facts
I bought the ‘24 MDX Advance and lovin’ it.
The new QX60 is better than MDX for me. Actually I've bought de Sensory and I think I've made a super decision.
Does any one of these have auto start stop?
I’ll take the QX60. No doubt!
The Acura is going to be more reliable
and gives a better driving experience overall
And SHAWD system is the best out there
Are you doing a comparison between the qx60 and lexus tx
qx v6 lexus tx small engine can,t compare
If you test drive both you would love the interior materials in the QX60 more. The TX has some plastics as interior. Lexus may have better longevity but it doesn’t out stand unless you keep the car for longer than 10 years.
The car seat tilt on the QX60 gives it the leg up for mom’s with littles.
I really like them both, a tough decision, wonder how the RX-L would’ve came out! Excellent comparison as always!
Easy. The RX L would have lost badly to both 😂
Even the tx which is replacing the RX L still loses to both
@@naveenthemachinedelusion 😂
@@huythai1222 not delusion. It’s called facts. Deal with it LOL
Naw the TX is over both them
The QX 60 has no wireless android auto or no android auto at all?
Wired android auto
Acura FTW
I like X60 , so wide inside with full features , it’s luxurious car 🚗
You have missed one very important thing in this type of vehicles: their AWD system, which is so important in turning a corner or driving in snow. The sh-awd in MDX is way better and deserves a full point.
They didn’t know much about mechanics and handling. No mention on chassis difference or corner handling, just straight line acceleration.
I like the Acura, but I think the Infiniti looks more premium!
Mdx is more sporty especially the aspec trim. This advance trim is fully equipped but it is actually the ugliest trim.
Qx60 hands down. Way better looking, inside and out.
I gues one thing to consider would be which one would keep it's value. I wouild think the MDX.
I have a 2017 advancd mdx. I would choose Acura again.
Can you do qx60 vs gv80 and then whoever wins vs Lincoln aviator. 😅😊
Infiniti QX50 vs Acura RDX comparasion?
QX50 has the infamous Nissan CVT that’s guaranteed to break. QX60 is with conventional Auto transmission
I bought 2024 qx60 luxe😊 and i love it....very much...
I took a test drive on the Acura MDX. For me it was not comfortable. I tried to access the third row and found my self crawling. I tried the second row and it was too tight. No leg room. Maybe its ok for a skinny person like you guys. For me, I guess the QX60 has more room.
I’ll take the Infiniti! I have the Infiniti and absolutely am in love with it!!
I will take MDX over the QX60 for the dual exhaust.
For example, for the smooth 10 speed transmission, he only gave 0.5 points to mdx
QX60 wins - I voted with my cash, just purchased autograph
what are price difference?
Acura for the android capability, 3rd seat in the middle row. Other than that I’d prefer the infinity for the higher tow and more sporty interior.
No reliability scores?
I have a 23 MDX ASpec so team Acura for me.
just buy the infiniti used and safe a boat load. Low resale on them makes it a great option
Infiniti QX60 autograph is a piece of Art!
No brainer. QX60 for me especially for that interior, the 2-tone paint and that sweet VQ V6 reliability.
Qx60 ❤❤❤
Acura design is nice. But infiniti design is outstanding!
Team QX60. Excellent design and performance. The luxury itself makes you feel different.
Follow this channel for the battles alone 💀
I am going with Acura
Acura any day
Love the QX 60! Prefer the luxury look over the Acura which looks like every other SUV out there.
You’re driving family cars I know, but I still believe is 0 to 16 should always be included
Love your comparisons, thank you! Keep up the great work!
Thanks, will do!
Immortal Acura👍👍
Qx60 all day inside & outside so much more premium...& that god awful track pad in the mdx!
Acura must loose the track pad. Infinity base model is nicer, with leather seats and power folding mirrors. The infinity lacks storage in the front console area. Remote start is extra on the base model.
