Owned an Acura with a push button shifter and I will tell you it was the easiest shifter I’ve ever had in a car and absolutely loved it. Never once put the car into the wrong gear. All the buttons feel different and you don’t even need to look. I really don’t get the hate over the shifter. It’s like complaining about push button start and wanting to turn a key instead. Now I have a new car with a rotary shifter and put it into the wrong gear all the time and it makes me miss my Acura.
the infiniti looks great and i especially love the interior but the MDX's athletic styling and more sedan-like driving characteristics take the cake for me. as always, you guys are spot on and among the best in the biz
I'm surprised the QX60 faired so well with you both. Says a lot. I have to say while the MDXs interior does look sportier which is what I prefer, overall it looks way too busy. And I am surprised not many people complain about all of that piano black plastic trim. It occupies too much real estate on the dashboard. Also, the MDX doesn't have vents in the 3rd row which is a REALLY odd omission on Acuras part. But you can't argue the Acuras AWD system and handling. I do like it's sporty looks on the exterior as well. But it seems Infiniti did its homework. The QX60 does seem more luxury oriented in comparison to the MDX, but it's good to know it doesn't drive like a boat. It's interior is really nice and the materials seem top notch. It seems calming sibe-by-side with the MDX. Despite how nice it is, I think Infiniti baked in some room to improve on it and possibly offer something above the Autograph trim at some point... On the exterior a full chrome grill like on the QX55 and painting the lower black trim in gloss black would make it look exactly like the Monograph concept. On the interior, they could add a suede headliner, leather wrap the horn cover, add some suede on the dash like in the QX50, ventilated second row, etc. And I'm sure there's going to be some other powertrain offered at some point, most likely electrified. I've mantained that people shouldn't count Infiniti out. Many things happened to cause the lull in their product lineup/updates. But Infiniti has proven they can produce some good product and I look forward to them getting back to it.
All good points, thanks for sharing, we really like this new QX60, Infiniti did a great job and they needed too. The QX60 got a good review because it deserves it.
After testing both, we ended up buying the MDX. The exterior of the QX60 is definitely more luxurious, which is the reason why we were initially set on getting it.. Even though the interior seemed to have the look of an older person, like that Cadillac feeling, which I wasn't crazy about, it still looked upscale enough that it wasn't a deal breaker. The MDX had a beautiful interior, and while its body style was not as luxurious as the QX60, it was sporty enough and youthful looking to make it a player. Why did we end up picking the MDX? Simply put, it was the feeling we got behind the wheel. The MDX hugged us, giving that cockpit sensation, and it drove more like a sedan than a SUV. My wife, who was initially concerned by its size, was immediately converted on how comfortable and nimble it was. The vehicle didn't turn around you while driving, it was as if you and the MDX were one negotiating a turn. Both are good vehicles. It really boils down to what fits your needs and spirit the best. So we sacrificed a more luxurious exterior look to have that driving experience that appealed to us. I think of it like this...the Porsche Cayenne lacks a luxurious exterior, but that doesn't stop it from being an upscale SUV. The MDX is an amalgamation of QX60 and a Cayenne, not excelling at either end of the spectrum but satisfying enough that we don't regret our choice one bit....and the touchpad is a breeze. While Acura should have made it have dual function for those who need to lean forward and touch the screen, I found it more comfortable leaning back and using the touchpad to navigate. We are happy MDX owners.
Great review. I think one thing depends on what you're looking for as you said. The QX60 in the US is more expensive than the MDX. The top trim QX60 is also only $6K less than an MDX Type S. The audio system in the MDX is superior as well as the overall handling. Thigh extension for the driver is also important to some as well as more seat adjustments and the QX60 only has 8 vs 16 in the MDX. It's nice you get massage seats earlier on the QX60 however.
I just bought the QX60 Autograph model. It's much better than the MDX. The outside is so much more elegant in my opinion. The inside is well laid out, modern, and with a beautiful touch screen. The ride to myself is especially comfortable and quiet. There is no question that the Infinity QX60 was my best choice for a beautiful luxury car.
@@WiseTreee What does that have to do with the AWD system? My mom has the 2nd or 3rd cheapest tires they sell at firestone and it still performs better than the RDX in snow.
Infiniti’s intelligent 4x4 is more appropriate for inclement weather. Acura’s system is more tailored for spirited driving, which in a vehicle this size who’s actually doing that…
It's amazing that both of you went with Infiniti on the 3,2,1 considering you had such high praise for the MDX in your review when it first came out! But that's also kind of where I am. Like you guys, I prefer the MDX looks on the outside, but the Infiniti on the inside. The MDX cluster is just too busy and cluttered for something I'll be using daily. I prefer the cleaner, elegant layout of the Infiniti. The fact that it's a touchscreen with the option of using the rotary dial, each of which on its own is better than using that touch pad, makes all the difference! So it's sort of like MDX winning the exterior 55:45 and Infiniti winning the interior 70:30. So I'd likely lean towards Infiniti, expect a test drive of the two really swayed me to MDX, but I doubt if that would throw up such a huge difference.
In the US, MDX hands down. Substantially more standard features, better & more developed technology, a fantastic audio system, best in class cargo capacity, built in Amazon Alexa capability, better driving dynamics, the list goes on and on. The MDX is the best selling luxury 3-row of all time for a reason, and if I’m going to be shelling out this much cash, I want to get my money’s worth in every area, not just in the design of the center stack. Plus, put an MDX next to a Honda Pilot and you won’t see a single shared body line or part. The QX60 is identical from every angle to the new Pathfinder, and if I’m spending that $20,000 more for the Infiniti vs. the Nissan, I don’t want to share ANYTHING with the economy version, especially not in the design department.
Yeah, Infiniti is still on the struggle bus to achieving actual luxury status. This QX60 is nice, but the MDX is definitely the better vehicle and the smarter choice if you plan on owning for a long time. Infinitis plummet in value in comparison to Acuras.
I absolutely agree. I’d go with Infiniti. I could never fall in love with the Acura interior. Never. If a friend asked me though? I’d suggest leasing the Infiniti all day long... but if buying? I’d have zero problems in recommending the purchase of the Acura MDX. I feel that competent in the product. Thanks for another comparison video.
I’m admittedly a Honda/Acura fanboi, and I can say that Infiniti really stepped up their interior game. It looks more posh, simpler, and more stylish than the MDX. The MDX was a huge missed opportunity for the interior. 1. The push button shifter looks awkwardly placed. I have two Acura’s with the button shifter but it’s lower down on the console on the driver side, and falls naturally to hand. Very simple to operate. 2. Touch screen! 3. Too much gloss black plastic on the dash and too little leather and wood/aluminum. I’d probably still choose the MDX for styling, driving character, and perceived reliability.
My Brother in law is a Honda and Acura guy. He purchased the MDX with advance package last year. It was no question he was going to purchase the MDX it’s just a matter which trim was available. Few a week later he got a call from the dealership he purchased it from and they were trying to buy it back from him for more money than was purchased. Crazy!
We used an MDX for 3 years and currently on a qx60 now. The ride on 20 '" wheels are so bumpy. The cabin is classy in the top trim. But MDX was a pleasure to drive and 600 Mile drive on a MDX feels like a 150 miles drive. QX has more bells and whistles though.
Great info on differences and sameness between the two models. One thing most reviews don't mention about removing that middle seat in the 2nd row of the MDX is that the outboard seats don't really become captain's chairs because they don't have inside armrests once the middle seat is removed.
What a great review guys, Thank you!!! I love infiniti but started having my doubts when I see the MDX on the streets but this video has helped me confirm I stay with the Infiniti QX60!
I loved the QX60’s interior design. I am going with Infinity QX60 as they don’t have that CVT any more. I heard that the 9 speed Auto Tranny is very smooth.
I would purchase the Acura MDX over the Infiniti QX60. Nissan/Infiniti is so late in the game updating their aging models while their competitors offer much more for the buck. Hope they survive.
They are both great vehicles, my only concern with the QX60 is that Infinity/Nissian has waited so long to refresh this model or any of their vehicles that people now have the idea that Infinity isn't keeping up with the competition that people forget about them. Infinity NEEDS this SUV to be sucessful as it's the only new vehicle on the horizon.
INFINITI isn't like every other brands that redesigns their car every 5 years. It's a testament to their design language and how well their cars can still look attractive after 7 -8 years. Land Rover does the same, they take even longer to redesign their models. In no way am I saying INFINITI is on the level of Land Rover because they're not but no one ever thinks land Rover isn't keeping up with competition just because they don't redesign every other year....QX60 isn't the only new car on the horizon. Q50 will be redesigned for 2023 and other new models will follow.
@@TheLaw_11 You say this like it’s a good thing Infiniti goes so long between redesigns. It’s not, and it’s one of the reasons Infiniti has fallen so far from their peak and their vehicles are so non-competitive these days.
@@mattspeer01 if it's a good thing for Land Rover then why isn't it a good thing for INFINITI then? INFINITI is more than fine financially. They're not Saab. People just like to complain. There are plenty INFINITIs on the road. Their owners aren't complaining. INFINITI despite some of their current models being older still have all the latest safety techs you'll find in any other brand.
Gr8 review for sure you guys. I had to come to channel to get an opinion because we are debating between the Lexus RX-350 and QX60. So QX60 it is for us. It’s an awesome rig I test drove it in Burnaby the other day.
With both of them being significantly redesigned, it will be interesting to see what problems pop up a year from now as they always say buying the 1st year of major redesign and you become the guinea pig for the manufacturer. We shall see who has more problems? I have owned Acura's since 2007 and they have been bulletproof. But you should also test drive the Genesis GV80 as i drove it back to back with the new MDX. If you get the smaller 2.5 turbo it brings the price in MDX territory and the performance was almost better. And nothing beats the inside of the GV80......the infotainment blows both of these away. I still want to drive the QX60 before deciding but Infiniti is not strong financially and i don't know if i would trust that shortcuts were not taken? Great review by you two!!!! I always enjoy your reviews......p.s. you are right, the MDX trackpad totally sucks which is a shame with such a great sound system that they couldn't get it right.
I am waiting on my type S and hope it's as good as my RLX has been. Everyone is scared 😱 of first year models but I feel they try harder because if it fails in the beginning no one will give it a second chance so they try to hook you and then slack afterwards
@@vincenttyler4667 I don’t think that you’ll be disappointed at all because of the all the options it comes with so you can modify the drive mode and other features to your liking! 🙃
Great comparison. The Acura has a more proven history, as it was one of the firsts to come out with mid-size 7-seating luxury SUV. Infiniti is a more "different" choice in comparison. Between these 2. Its comparing whether you dislike Acura's annoying mousepad infotainment vs Infiniti's iffy ZF 9AT reliability more. Acura's SH-AWD has always been delivered excellent dynamics on top of MDX''s well-known sporty road manners. Infiniti is more luxurious-oriented, when it comes to ride quality and interior ambience. Except for a few Nissan cheapness down on the door panels. Given the dealer network in Vancouver, my pick would be the Acura.
I could. I put a deposit on a Aspec MDX. I love the interior and exterior of the MDX more. More adjustable seats, Better audio system, wireless apple CarPlay and android auto, Did I mention MDX beautiful ambient lighting that the Infiniti doesn't have?
The MDX has a strong luxurious look. The QX60, by comparison, looks kinda cheap. I also prefer the stated driving dynamics of the MDX and the superior interior space and packaging. I even prefer the inferior design and dash layout. The only think I don’t like about the MDX is the touch pad. I don’t know why the hell they did that. After all those good things, the touch pad to me is a deal breaker. If I had to choose one though, it would be the MDX.
Between the two, the MDX beats the QX60 in engine reliability and higher resale value after 5 years. The MDX should accelerate faster since it’s lighter in weight; it drives like a big sedan. The QX60 is heavier and bulkier so it would tow more and could handle rough weather better. It also costs less than the MDX so affordability is at play here. As for cabin, the QX60 lacks ambient lighting and isn’t as quiet as the MDX, but it is roomier and the infotainment system is touchscreen unlike the MDX. Everything else is subjective so it really depends on the individual’s preferences. Again, great video you two!
Funny how so many criticism the button transmission gear select but so many brands are going in that direction. Even Ferrari's don't have traditional gear shifters. And I like the creativity of the Acura layout and function. Infiniti is too safe and, frankly, boring. The track pad just takes a bit to get used to then it's intuitive. The Acura is a superior driver and has more space. So, hands down, it's the MDX for me. Regarding this comparison, it's disappointing that so many journalists today keep holding onto conventional. Which is why I most appreciate Acura/Honda - they have always pushed the conventional out the window to create their own path. I remember when there were so many critics of the Jewel-Eye headlights and now so many brands are utilizing the same approach. Same with the aforementioned push-button transmission gear select. What about the Crosstour and ZDX, which Honda/Acura abandoned way too early. Honda also held onto 4-cylinder engines for the longest time and didn't pursue high-output, larger displacement engines. Look where the industry is today.
Went to the Auto Show in NY and I fell in love with QX60. Right now got a Rouge 2021, and my family and I like it a lot. So I think an upgrade to this QX60 would be very nice indeed.
I too thought the Info pad system on the MDX was a PIA. But, after only 3 weeks of ownership I've discovered I like it much more that previous touch screen systems. For those in doubt, give the MDX a system a little time and I think you'll agree with me.
I don’t think the trackpad is the best, but once I got used to the one in my TLX, no problem. I have had Acuras for a while and the way they drive and handle are really good, plus the reliability is one of the best. I would go for the MDX because of the captain chairs, the looks and the walk away feature of the tailgate, but the Infiniti wouldn’t be a bad choice and would definitely have either of these than the Lexus RXL
@@Oyeolsakin Once u use the dial in the Mazda, you wont miss touch screen cause u never have to reach over to touch Takes about a few days to master. Dont miss it one bit
MDX has a better looking exterior. MDX has a great solution to the second row. However, no touchscreen, no buy. Wife has a cx5, that system is a nightmare, not going to mess with something like that again. QX60 wins by forfeit.
I always liked both SUVs and in 2015 I could not decide which one to pick. I called a TV auto show running in Toronto (with Mohammed who also runs Car Help Canada for which I had a membership). I spoke him and told him my predicament. He just told me "I'd take the MDX hands down". Well we never regretted that decision. We had 2 generations of the MDXs. For our next SUV however, it has to be a PHEV or electric. Both brands have missed an opportunity here by being behind the times...
Really enjoy watching you two! Wish you guys would discuss additional storage cubbies located throughout the front seat areas aside from the obvious console storage very important to have places to put items as you travel
Been driving Acura for more than 10 years and recently owned an Infiniti and must say the Infiniti really did a good job with the design and use of materials. The MdX maybe good in driving dynamics but when it comes to luxury, Infiniti definitely offers that.
Acura doesn't give you it all, concerning the second row seating. There are no center arm rests after removing the center seat (unless this was just not mentioned). So, they're not really acting as captain's chairs. And Acura really needs to completely redo their center console. It's just so wrong.
We went with QX60 Sensory AWD. Although MDX may have noticeable driving dynamics, the interior and exterior style pf QX60 is better and more classy. The 3rd row also has AC vents which is missing in the MDX. The infotainment on QX60 is very easy to use. The touchpad is hard to use when using CarPlay. The materials feel and look nicer on QX60. The MDX drives heavy while the QX60 drives very quiet and refined. Plus all other features that you won’t find on the MDX unless you get the Type-S. Like massaging seats and heads up display. The QX60 also has smart rear view mirror which is pretty cool! We love the QX60.
How about heated fan air in the ventilated seat, ,so I can avoid getting swampy in January here in nyc. Also in NYC if you walk away you make sure the door shuts and locks before you go anywhere 👀. I’ve been considering going back go to Infiniti. I don’t miss my Acura that had very poor quality leather and needed front rotors in less than a year. My Infiniti (Q50AWD-2018) was at its own level and the maintenance was not a problem ever.
Excellent review you guys! As great as the QX60 is, it's just a touch too small for my needs. I want to be able to fit a bicycle in back with the 3rd row folded down. Neither of these are giants but the MDX is proportioned such that I *think* I could do this in the MDX. Thanks very much for this comparison review.
I have been waiting for my MDX for last 3.5 months. I am happy to wait. QX60 cannot beat the sales of one state sales of MDX in US == infinity QX 60 through out the whole USA .MDX is a sports car. I drove QX 60 model of every year at least two weeks. I always feel I am driving a truck. I am not looking at truck. Points to consider Never touch the sales In your review Never touch the reliability Never touch the resale of QX 60 Never touch features compared with tech MDX Never touch the sound quality. Never touch seating comfort and adjustments Never touch ambient lighting Never touch the 0-60 Never touch drive mode Never touched the walk away tail gate feature and back camera wash Never touched the safety, 2022 MDX got safety pick+ I can put 100 more ……. Considered only the TTI 😱 on MDX. It is so easy to use and people still complain about it. To me there is no competition with QX60 at all with MDX. MDX : It is superior.
Having an RDX, I always wanted to move to the MDX. But a test drive and the price value from Infiniti has swayed me over. They're also doing great deals on financing. Plus the black color gets black exhaust finishers so doesn't look as bad as the chrome ones in my opinion. Luxe and sensory are variants to go for depending on budget of course.
I like the interior and the layout of the QX60 far more than the MDX. But the exterior of the MDX far more than the QX60. Idk. It would all come down to which is the better deal.
In some cases even better. Top Korean trims give you ventilated front and rear seats. I don't think the base level of either of the Japanese options gives you ventilated front seats!
The beam pattern on the Acura jewel eyes LED headlights are actually pretty wide standard, so adaptive headlight wouldn't be necessary. I'm pretty sure Acura engineers have thought of that.
Two great vehicles. These both would be ideal SUV’S as a 5 passenger vehicle with loads of room for your luggage. I just don’t see the point of these being 7 passenger with a toothbrush as your carry on. Love the look of the new QX 60. Great job guy. Would like to know what your thoughts are about eliminating that rear seat.
I actually preordered the QX60 in August. My vehicle arrived in December. The interior is drop dead gorgeous and I like the exterior, too, although not as much as the earlier renderings. I ordered the Sensory trim which also comes standard with the tow package that I want/need. However, after the test drive I handed back the keys :( The handling was the deal breaker: way too sluggish and numb for my taste. Previously I checked out the new MDX, but didn't even take it for a drive because the looks (both inside and out) turned me off. Still looking for something that handles like a Golf GTI but has the luggage capacity of an SUV and doesn't cost as much as an E-class station wagon.
drive the MDX it is really sporty for a three row. If driving dynamics are your priority check out the MDX, X5, GLE, Q7. QX60, enclave, aviator are more luxurious/family friendly.
@@markleckband4495 Thank you, great list! I will give the MDX a second look. The German models are a stretch for my budget, maybe the X3 or when the new GLC comes out. Luckily I am in no hurry, my 2012 Volvo XC70 T6 is still going strong with 210K on it, just miss some modern conveniences and a heated steering wheel. Plus I love the fact that the 3l turbo makes 300HP on regular gas.
@@aborbely1 yes, turbo inline sixes are sweet! Yea the X3’s class is probably the closest you’d get to the handling characteristics of a GTI. The X3 reminds me of my old 3 series, but on stilts.
@@aborbely1 and I rate driving dynamics at a lower priority for a family vehicle. I prioritize plushness, and feature content. I love me a sporty car tho.
What did you end up getting? Did you try the Mazda CX-9 (2020 or newer)? My friend has one and said it’s super fun to drive and that’s what I have read in a lot of reviews.
I'm not a fan of QX60's capacitive climate controls. The hard button climate controls on the MDX are inherently more ergonomical. IMO, the only good recent Infiniti interior is the 2022 QX80 refresh
Thanks for the helpful comparison. I have a question about Infiniti’s heated seats. Some reviewers in the U.S. mentioned that they are not getting warm enough. Did you test the heated seats/steering wheel?
Y ou guys are terrific. What a great review. Many thanks for this. I much prefer the styling and interior of the QX60. Think Infiniti has a real winner with this one….
Had a 2018 MDX that we traded in on a 2019 Volvo XC90 and ultimately just traded in on a 2022 QX60. Not much has changed on the MDX or XC90, but I’m telling you there is no comparison. The 2022 QX60 feels so much more luxury on the interior and the outside looks fresh, not dated like the the MDX. XC90 although older design, has a elegant look in my opinion. If all three were sitting new in my driveway today, I’d take the QX60 just like Andrea did in the full QX60 review.
QX60 looks to be a home run this time around (minus the fake exhaust tips). Great to hear that the ride feels involved. Something about the Acura's exterior doesn't look that great to me and that interior looks out of place.
If Acura uses Honda’s infotainment system, mdx 100% for me. Unfortunately it looks like they operate differently, or at least they do not agree with each other on all the things. Someone said the trackpad is ok to use. If you come from a brand with good infotainment like BMW or even Honda (ironically), this will be a deal breaker for you at the decision moment.
I wish Acura would have used the old RLX 3.5L 310hp/272 engine as an option for the Aspec and Adv models. The extra power would help a bit with the +300 lbs of extra weight compared to the previous gen MDX. Acura just needs to add a touchscreen along with the trackpad, option(s) other than the piano gloss black interior trim, and add some arm rest to the 2nd row seats in the cpt. chair configuration. Nice to have would be 2nd row ventilated seat, tri-zone climate for rear hatch area, and bring back the hybrid powertrain (w/ or w/o plug-in option).
I used to own both even Toyota high lander then switched to q7, bmw x5 ( 2019) I never come back Japanese ones and never.....they are real big difference about speed, handling drive, sound system, and final that is more aggressive drive
These are both really nice! To me the problem with these "premium" vehicles, is that mainstream SUV's have gotten so good too! Are these 15-20 K nicer than the Highlander or Telluride? I'm not so sure!
I have MDX 22 and now i am in USA for few days. Just today got chance to drive new QX60. Interior is really good. The things lacked in MDX are touchscreen n Phone pickup/drop switches. If i have to compare drive. MDX is lot better. MDX cabin is lot more quite compared to QX. And the smoothness in MDX while driving is lot better compared to QX. Rear seats are little tight in QX and third row is only for Kids.

Finally a comment where someone has actually driven the car and isn't just choosing due to personal taste.
Does it have a delay in acceleration from when it’s standing still ?
@@dynamiccdollarable It shouldn't as it has the 9 speed
I looked and test drove both, I chose mdx. Agree with that interior for qx60 is better, but the drive and exterior for mdx is much better
For winter drive, I definitely go with MDX. Infiniti can't beat SH-AWD.
Idk, my moms 2016 qx60 does way better in the snow than my uncles 2019 RDX
I think Infiniti is better
@@mauricebarry8858 rdx is just cheaper mdx… can’t compare with MDX
I have an 2021 rdx and I'm used to the track pad and I use the dynamic mode knob often. Definitely looking at mdx as my next upgrade for sure.
I just deposited on a new QX60 yesterday because of your review last saturday. Thanks for helping me on my decision. I'm getting it tomorrow!
Nice. What colour did you choose?
@@steveelliott77 Thanks! I got the white

@@steveelliott77 Awesome!
What about the true touch interface?
I absolutely agree. I’d go with Infiniti. I could never fall in love with the Acura interior. Never. If a friend asked me though? I’d suggest leasing the Infiniti all day long... but if buying? I’d have zero problems in recommending the purchase of the Acura MDX. I feel that competent in the product. Thanks for another comparison video.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it. The QX60 has a great reliability record.
Crazy!
With the chip shortage I hear this quite often, they are looking for used vehicles and of course can't get new ones in. It's a tough time.
QX 60 by far the nicer looking vehicle
What a great review guys, Thank you!!! I love infiniti but started having my doubts when I see the MDX on the streets but this video has helped me confirm I stay with the Infiniti QX60!
The gigantic fake exhaust ruins the whole design. What were they thinking...
I don't know! That's the only thing I don't like.
You can wrap or Plato dip
I loved the QX60’s interior design. I am going with Infinity QX60 as they don’t have that CVT any more. I heard that the 9 speed Auto Tranny is very smooth.
I would purchase the Acura MDX over the Infiniti QX60. Nissan/Infiniti is so late in the game updating their aging models while their competitors offer much more for the buck. Hope they survive.
They certainly brought their A-game with the QX60. Now, they just have to update the rest of their lineup.
I say the same thing about Acura.
@@emery2310 well, Acura has the best lineup of all the Japanese luxury brands right now
They are both great vehicles, my only concern with the QX60 is that Infinity/Nissian has waited so long to refresh this model or any of their vehicles that people now have the idea that Infinity isn't keeping up with the competition that people forget about them.
The Acura MDX A-spec looks stunning and sporty.
Gr8 review for sure you guys. I had to come to channel to get an opinion because we are debating between the Lexus RX-350 and QX60. So QX60 it is for us. It’s an awesome rig I test drove it in Burnaby the other day.
I would go with the Infiniti for fresh look and rarity. Objectively, MDX got a few points higher.
Thanks for sharing!
Not being in the market for this kind of vehicles, I just watched the video knowing you do great job at comparisons!
@@nevco8774 Thank you, we appreciate that 👌
Acura>INFINITI
I have the 2022 MDX ASpec and I have gotten used to the track pad, it doesn’t bother me…and I loveeeeee my MDX 💜
Oh good! I hear that quite often from followers who own an Acura that they eventually get used to it.
GREAT REVIEW!!!! EXACTLY THE COMPARISON I WAS LOOKING FOR!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing your point of view and for watching, glad you enjoyed the comparison.
I like interior of Infiniti and exterior of Acura……..proving, you can’t have it all 😃
Yes, sometimes you can't!
This is what Infiniti needs to liven up their lineup Nice comparison review
Thank you, really glad you enjoyed the comparison.
To be fair the 3.5 v6 that is in the QX60/Pathfinder is a great motor. Can't knock the Nissan v6
Interesting to hear that JD power has (2020 previous versions) the Infiniti retaining more value after 5 years and having a better reliability score.
The QX60 gets great reliability and quality scores from JD Power, I'm impressed.
@@dank8017 Agreed!
@@cupcake0190 Really good quality and reliability scores.
Very good comparaison of 2 vehicules in the same category. It's a matter of taste for the customer
MDX all day any day! And it may appear it has some competition here, hopefully Nissan can get things turned around and stay competitive.
I never thought I’d see the day where y’all would pick an Infiniti over the Acura!!!
Thanks for sharing, I hear that quite often that overtime you get used to the trackpad.
I bought a QX60 LUXE since they told me to wait for a MDX for about 3 months.
Perfect trim, congratulations!
Well, I drove the MDX, but for my bux, Ill buy the CX9. Steller handling, looks good, less cheese. Great content!
Thank you so much, glad you are enjoying the reviews. The CX-9 is a great SUV, I like it a lot.
Only thing that frustrates me about most Mazda products is their dated infotainment and lack of a touch screen.
@@Oyeolsakin Once u use the dial in the Mazda, you wont miss touch screen cause u never have to reach over to touch Takes about a few days to master. Dont miss it one bit
Great comparison both great vehicles. I would be happy with either one .

MDX has a better looking exterior. MDX has a great solution to the second row. However, no touchscreen, no buy. Wife has a cx5, that system is a nightmare, not going to mess with something like that again. QX60 wins by forfeit.
MDX all the way, Advance Package that is!
Just picked up my '23 MDX Advance today!
Man, you guys have this hard for me: I was leaning towards buying a pilot or MDX, but I like your review on this qx60.
Another great review... Love your weekly videos.... Thanks for the hard work... I like the Acura MDX "S" w/ Advanced package...
The Trackpad in the Acuras is a Deal Breaker for many including me. Drove RDX with it for a week , hated every minute. But driving dynamics are great.
Everyone loathes it and people claiming it’s nbd are probably Acura dealership salesmen
I prefer an MDX because Honda design and quality
Here’s a different question. What would you choose a base genesis GV70 ($57,000) or the base Infiniti ($54,900)?
MDX 4th gen for people 45 years old and below (car looks younger), QX is for 45+ (older looking style)
I love qx60♡ Red leather Interior is so cool!!!
If was buying, I would only consider the Acura. However, if I leased, then it might be a toss-up.
The QX60 has a great reliability record, I'm impressed
I prefer the design of the Infiniti, looks very sleek…love it!
Interesting, thanks for sharing!
I initially thought MDX... and I still do lol But the Infiniti is much closer than I thought it would be.
The QX60 is good!
the interior of Qx60 is beautiful right up there with the big guys Range Rover and Mercedes GLE but the fake rear exhaust is embarrassing .
Couldn't agree more!
All you have to do is wrap them or plasti dip
Excellent review you guys! As great as the QX60 is, it's just a touch too small for my needs. I want to be able to fit a bicycle in back with the 3rd row folded down. Neither of these are giants but the MDX is proportioned such that I *think* I could do this in the MDX. Thanks very much for this comparison review.
How cool - you guys get to work together and have a RUclips channel 💪💪💯👏 Great comp video, as well.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the comparison. Yes, we are pretty fortunate.
Points to consider

Never touch the reliability
Never touch the resale of QX 60
Never touch features compared with tech MDX
Never touch the sound quality.
Never touch seating comfort and adjustments
Never touch ambient lighting
Never touch the 0-60
Never touch drive mode
Never touched the walk away tail gate feature and back camera wash
Never touched the safety, 2022 MDX got safety pick+
I can put 100 more …….
Luxe and sensory are variants to go for depending on budget of course.
infiniti should make red sport grade3.0L v6 twin turbo as Acura type S killer.
I like the interior and the layout of the QX60 far more than the MDX. But the exterior of the MDX far more than the QX60. Idk. It would all come down to which is the better deal.
Thanks for the review. Could you tell if there are differences in the cabin noise between the two? Which is quieter?
The MDX was a little bit quieter but the QX60 is fine. - Andrea
Great video! Really well put together, and straight to the point. Comparisons should be about point a vs. point b and you guys nailed it. 👍🏽
Wow, thank you so much, really glad you enjoyed it. - Andrea
Top trim of the telluride and palisade are almost the same as entry MDX and QX60. Would you pick the Koreans over these Japanese?
In some cases even better. Top Korean trims give you ventilated front and rear seats. I don't think the base level of either of the Japanese options gives you ventilated front seats!
I suggest taking both for a test drive
You will find that the Acura MDX drives like a sport sedan, the others drive like a minivan.
Very good comparison / review, 👍

@@andreaspencer9813 You are an very welcome Andrea!
You guys forgot to mention that the QX60 has adaptive/cornering headlights which Acura doesn't even offer.
You don't need the 3rd row, Thats the beauty if it but if you need it you have it.
I thought they were quite good. We just reviewed the Lexus RX and they barely got warm.
You missed one important test !!! Road noise , wind noise … which cabin is more quite ???
I used to own both even Toyota high lander then switched to q7, bmw x5 ( 2019) I never come back Japanese ones and never.....they are real big difference about speed, handling drive, sound system, and final that is more aggressive drive
The price should be taken into consideration. Although the MSRP for both cars is close, the QX60 is sold for $5,000 above MSRP.
Mdx looks much better and is a better car to drive
How 🤔 about the type S
QX60 for luxury and MDX for sporty.
Can't find one anywhere! Can't wait until the chip shortage is over so I seriously consider getting the QX60.
These are both really nice! To me the problem with these "premium" vehicles, is that mainstream SUV's have gotten so good too! Are these 15-20 K nicer than the Highlander or Telluride? I'm not so sure!
Good point! A fully loaded highlander, telluride or palisade competes. Heck they all use the same 3.5l V6 with about the same power anyway.
@@Oyeolsakin Same engine? No. Lol.
Honda exterior just and Infinity interior just (stylistically). Probably Type S drivetrain
Can't wait until we drive the Type S, it will have amazing handling I am sure.
Is Acura luxury brand? It looks cheap, especially interior. Had test drive both today, and qx60 definitely has better looking inside out.
