Good morning my darling daughter! This project turned out gorgeous and I know Ashelyn loves it! You've done such a beautiful job on her bedroom makeover. She's such a lucky girl.
Ashley will always remember this bedroom make over. You are a sweetheart of a mom.
I think it’s so cute that your mom comments so sweetly on all your videos. Way to go mom! Nothing like some positive support from the people who love you…..such a great family!!
Hello and because we still have a holiday here in Germany, Easter Monday, a belated happy Easter to all of you.
I really love this wall hanging and it would be a pretty present to our granddaughter (18) for her new decorated room. But because she is in black, white und purpel, I think I would make her a full moon rather than a sun. With some sparkel fabric in black as the sky, a very pail lavender moon and shades of gray and purpel for the landscape. Thank you Misty for this absolut great idea 😃❤
That sounds beautiful. I'm sure your granddaughter will love it.❤️
I would love to see other types of landscape quilts (ocean, beach, mountains, etc) tutorial. It's something I want to try!
So much fun.
What a fun technique. I can see making a bed quilt by putting pieced blocks around this free-form panel. Thanks for the demo. It makes sewing curves look much easier than I would have thought.
I absolutely love this cute project!!
Beautiful and inspiring 💖 💕 👍
I have been wanting to try landscape quilts, but had no idea where to start. Thanks for a great easy first step video, into what looks like a crazy complicated art form.
Will definitely be trying this one. Thank you Misty!
What a great project!! Thank you!!
Love this project Misty!
Thanks Misty, your a great teacher. Love the project.
Thank you for the tutorial. I love your quilt. I’ve noticed that you used the white thread to sew the coloured materials. Very cool!
I had no clue how to sew a curve until now. Thank you so much for this fun, informative project!
Love it, I use the overlap and cutting in curves trick to join pieces of batting, they butt nicely together and I join them with a tight zig zag 😊
Thank you this lovely.😊
Beautiful! Thank u for sharing ❤
Thank You Misty, This looks really Fun. I can’t wait to give this a try. I cannot wait to see the final reveal. 🥰 Chris
Hope there's a big reveal of the completed make-over :)
What a beautiful wall hanging idea you’ve created for your daughter!
Thanks Misty, I have wanted to try doing a landscape for a while. You have given me the confidence to try, I love the way you demystify these complicated looking projects..
Thanks for the idea of glue dot on the edge to hold it down. I made several fans (like a drunkards path), and the glue would have been way easier than the pins!
Love this & sew quick 💗💜💕
This is a wonderful tutorial! I have many ideas skipping through my mind. Thanks so much for sharing.
Such a great lesson with lots of new techniques for me to learn. The glue stick dots on the ends is genius! Thanks so much Misty.
This looks so fun, definitely a must do.
This is probably my fav video ever! ❤ as a modern quilter, I really like the colors, style and design. Pls more modern style quilting. 🙏
LOVE this. Artistic and fun, thanks!
Love this 😲👍Thanks
That is just so cute!
Muchas gracias por estos tutoriales que para las que no sabemos de costura hacen fácil lo difícil!
I saw this video when you first posted it and thought it was cool but way out of my skill set since I just started quilting. I've learned a lot since and even upgraded my machine and re- did my studio to incorporate a sewing area, which was a bit challenging since my husband is anti hanging of organizers on the walls. So now I have this huge gray blah blank space I'm looking at while sewing 😢. It's not very inspiring, and he week let me hang my artwork so I decided to make one of these to put there to encourage me since I can see my progress in such a short time. ❤
Beautiful project and fantastic teaching, ty! Perfect timing as I'm looking for inspiration for a wedding wall hanging quilt for gifting. 😊
Fabulous! 🌅
Love this!!!
Hello Misty, thank U very much for sharing so nice project to your daughter. I would really appreciate if you could explain me the way you use to hang it on the wall. Regards from Sweden 🇸🇪
Possible adding a quilting style "sleeve" on the back with the raw edges matching the raw edges of the piece & stitching the binding over all of the raw edges. This needs to be accomplished after the quilting has been completed. A label can then be added to the back also, sewn under the binding; less easy for "thieves" to steal...there are many quilts & fabric art pieces stolen as it's lots easier when there is no label. I have, myself, placed the label within the backing design & quilted over the label, so just cutting out/off the label is much more difficult! Just being protective of my art work!
@@nancy-katharynmcgraw2669 Thanks a lot. Both your explain about hanging sleeve and placing of the label are very useful 👏
Mission impossible...made possible
Wow! That was a pretty cool video for the sunset. This one is so simple, but yet, cool,as hell! Thank you so much for it.❤
Beautiful
❤❤❤
This is really great
I really love this. I had just made something similar but I struggle with how to hang this sort of thing. Any tips there?

The sun could have been made from a folded fat quarter, that way there would be no seam through the middle of the sun. You would cut the background the same way, on a fold.
Hi Misty another GREAT video many thanks for sharing, her room will look GREAT. She will be the envy of her friends, I can image lots of viewings. Misty, I have a question that has nothing to do with this video if that is ok? I watched one of your videos where you demonstrated a a quick way of making half square triangles. I can't remember which video it was or how you made up the half square triangles. I think you started with 10 inch squares? any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you Misty, Linda x
I really like this. I need my piece to end up 30 x 30 inches. How would I achieve this look to end up this quilt size I need? Thank you.
Hi Misty, thank you for the wonderful project.
Can you let me know where can I get the tutorial/pattern for the quilt hanging behind you?
That's our Wanderlust pattern! You can find it here: www.missouriquiltco.com/search?view=shop&q=wanderlust
very nice, but I have a question.. Is there a reason why you didn't cut a half circle for the sun and sky instead of having a seam down the middle?
Can the strips that you remove be sewn together for another look?
Maybe they could be sewn together (with a little more of the left over fat quarters) and used on a pillow?
Pardon if I did intrude your privacy wrongly I feel is a platform to make new friends and ideas.
Hope I haven't been rude?
Do you get a second landscape with the waste pieces

Question, doesn't that gluing right before sewing at the ends mess up your needles? This is such a cool project! I'm not a quilter, but I really want to try this one!
It looks like the tiny dot of glue is within the 1/4" seam allowance, so the sewing machine needle doesn't go through the glue! Nice trick!!!
Good evening ladies I have been looking for a patteren. Called Dutch dolls and can't seem to find it any were can you please
Did you look for an applique pattern or a real doll
