Very cheap advice, tbh. She is asking us to take leaps of faith with nearly zero context, but Hawk, gets in trouble whether he leaps or not. So leaping is not a bad idea, if the ground underneath you is itself gonna fall anyway.
I love when Morrigan offers herself to Flemeth in order for her to spare Kieran. She went from a selfish person to literally sacrificing herself for other. Character developement 🚬
I think the key here is this. Solas, Fen'harel, woke from a deep sleep into a world far far different from the one he knew, and full of regret for what he sees himself as to have done. Flemeth, Mythal, on the other hand, has lived through it all. She did not sleep. She took in everything about the world, lived through it. Fostered the new world Fen'harel left. She is the goddess of motherhood, and therefore mothered the new world and brought it up in such a way with her cunning that it would have a fighting chance when the inevitable came to pass. However, at some point living an immortal life, you can become tired. And ready to move on. So instead of making Morrigan a vessel, Morrigan could become the new embodiment. Mythal recognizes her time is past, and leaves it to the most capable person she can imagine, one who started off being able to make the more difficult choices and then gained empathy along the way.
I have always wondered this: if Mythal (or a form of her) continued to live and be conscious, what would have been the reason that led Solas to declare war on his brother 'gods'? Did he know that a part of her consciousness had survived?
I believe Flemeth also told Morrigan that she never had anything to fear from her, and that the women she possessed ultimately asked her to do it. This implied that Morrigan would end up making the choice in the future to be Mythal’s vessel.
Man that would be so sad. No matter what she does, she can’t escape Flemeth’s wishes for her. It is never a question of what she wants, it is a question of what Flemeth wants for her. Honestly I’m beginning to think that Mythal, being the God of Motherhood and all, is really a terrible mother.
@@jakobrenner2230 She taught morrigan strength but little else. Only reason she became a favorite character is because of her love for the warden and the changes it brings out of her.
@ethosterros9430 Flemath/Mythal taught Morrigan how SHE sees the world. It's why Morrigan was so cold to everything in orgins (other then the warden) Flemthal disliking the circle mages and passing that onto Morrigan is honestly crazy foreshadowing
I bet she’s gonna get possessed by Mythal and become a god. Expecially after she drank from the well… Morrigan had a bunch of secrets and knowledge way more then almost any character in the game.
@@chuckles9767 i believe so but also the Warden from the first game could kill Flemith and only a piece of her (thanks to hawk) is brought back using an amulet. Who’s to say she didn’t do it again lol
@@lilwindingo1100 So what version of Flemeth did Hawke spoke to the first time they met? She was a pretty convincing dragon to Hawke. Take care and stay well.
I think Flemeth did give the old god's soul to Solas, while keeping hers for Morrigan. I think Mythal is still unsure of Fen'Harel's plan so she needs a backup plan - someone who can stand at the same level as Solas if things go south. Morrigan will have to accept being Mythal's new body, like it or not (she did say in Origins that she didn't want to be the next in line)
@@valp3466 . There is no canon per se, just default. And that has never interfered with custom world states, except maybe for Leliana. But for those who don't know the devs already stated that because of the Leliana's death backlash (which caused them to make up the Lyrium Ghost thing) they are not going to do that again, and will not give a major role to characters that might be dead for future games. Also, don't forget that in the "default" version, the Warden made the ultimate sacrifice, which means the Dark Ritual wasn't made, thus, there is no Old God Soul.
@@SeventhheavenDK I think it makes more sense that IF Flemeth absorbs the old god soul, what she does is give Solas the piece that is Mythal and clings to life using the old gods soul. Then she would be a character showing up in some capacity in Dreadwolf, and if she dies then Morrigan takes her role.
I think Mythal wants the evanuris dead, and she's using Solas to free them. After he tears down parts of the veil, the evanuris will enter the world and decimate his forces. It will then be up to us to stop them all. Morrigan will be part of that effort, since she will have the ability and knowledge to navigate the Crossroads and the Fade using her dragon form. As for Solas, I think Mythal wants him to rest and be at peace. Just let the world be as it is, which at that point might exist as it did before the tearing down of the veil, just that certain areas will be blended with the Fade to allow the elvhen to exist in the Crossroads. Flemeth, either directly, or through Morrigan and Merrill have guided each protagonist along a certain path. The Hero or Warden Commander are off finding the cure for the taint, which means curing the red lyrium and the idol as well. The Champion helped unearth that idol, and could be involved in Grey Warden business which is connected to the taint, and also might have knowledge of the eluvians through Merrill. The Inquisitor is involved in both Warden business and red lyrium, and might have the knowledge from the Well. I think Mythal is betting on the protagonists to solve her problem for her after Solas does the heavy lifting and drops the veil enough to unleash the evanuris. This is the reckoning Flemeth spoke of. She sees Elvhenan as a failed state, and believes the only remaining things to do are put the leaders to rest and give Solas some peace. Let him become Wisdom in the Fade and Crossroads where he wanted to be all along, and let the mortals have the world they've always known. And let those with the ability explore freedom in the parts of the world that reach the Crossroads and Fade. But for now, so long as the music plays, they dance.
Thank you for reviving my love for dragon age. It's been so long without a new game or any content at all really but you have done a wonderful job diving into the most interesting/mysterious topics. Very excited for the next game and all the questions we could have answered! Keep up the great work
Why would Morrigan want to preserve the Elven? Because "I taught you, girl" like flemeth said. She was raised to be that way. She was raised to inherit that role. And everything that has happened to her and will happen to her is all part of the plan. She instilled those values in her because she will carry Mythal into the next age. Just like it's likely that the egghead is also an unwitting pawn in her grand chess game.
Flemith puts the piece of herself in the Eluvian. It will go to Morrigan. I can't see bioware giving up either the Flemith or Morrigan characters completely.
Our wild sorceress companion was always going to be offered mythal. She merely never understood that such a thing had to voluntary. Whether or not Thedas survives is another matter.
Maybe it was headcanon, but I always thought Flemeth's daughters were abducted & adopted, rather than her being their biological mother. But either way, I do hope Morrigan features in DA:D, given her ties to the old magic, & Mythal, and her stated goal always being to preserve and discover it's secrets. I can definitely see a version of her, without a child, ready and willing to help Solas tear down the veil and unleash all the magic that was lost. But with having Kieran, and how much motherhood has shifted her priorities, I think it's more likely she would side against him, despite her fascinations with his plan. It would definitely make for a major divergent consequence from actions all the way back in the 1st game, in a very believable way. I'd be surprised and impressed if that level of difference was incorporated into the game; I know all choices tend to just level out.
I remember Morrigan saying something about how her mom's lovers ending up and it wasn't pleasant. Maybe they were blood magic sacrifices to keep her alive or to have daughters?
@@cbear3476 I don't think that's true at all. The only rule they've stated is you can't force a soul on the unwilling. Nothing about being related to anyone. OG Flemeth wasn't an elf, and so definitely wasn't related to Mythal. Kieran definitely wasn't related to no Old God, to receive Urthemial's soul; which then passed to Flemeth and then Solas; again, them 2, for sure, ain't related to each other.
Morrigan is such an intriguing character. Her knowledge of the arcane and her nebulous motivations give her all kind kinds of potential. I hope she has a big role in the upcoming Dragon Age game.
Truly the peak of Dragon Age 🐉 characters. Deserves a happy life with my Warden. I'll never forget when my Warden walked though the eluvian with her. That last quote from Flemeth is why I always leave Hawke behind in the fade
I think ‘Flemeth’ is a title, not actually a name. In that Morrigan was next in line to possess the soul of Mythal, passed on by each predecessor before her, and upon reading her mothers grimoire, misinterpreted what information was being put forward. With each passing, the accumulation of Mythals knowledge and emotions are shared with each possessor, more or less merging minds and personalities. Not that she would be “less Morrigan”, but more of those who came before, ultimately becoming part of a greater whole.
Nothing bad happend to her, that is my brain canon. My warden bedded her so damn hard in my first playthrough, all those many years ago, that she got immortalized somehow. Whatever the case, I will reunite with her and the Warden in the future, that is a must
I just want Morrigan as a playable companion in the next game, as companions she ranks as number one in not just Dragon Age but all other rpg games I have played.
I am curious, whenever Flemeth takes Kieran’s old god essence into her, will this be the very thing that pretty much saves her from Solas whenever he kills her at the end of Inquisition, and will be how she returns in Dreadwolf?
1. Flemeth will return in some form since she can transfer her essence in to other bodies and she knew perfectly well what Solas was about to (She wasn't stupid) do so i would not put it pass her to transfer her power to some where, where it could stay safe untill she can rise again. 2. Ever wondered why Solas was so angry if you drank from the well if especially if u romanced him. I think he knew that you were now in possession of power that you can use to stop him. 3.Morrigan is Flemeth in the sense that Flemeth knew what was coming and she taught her daughter everything she needed in order to help to save this world. Morrigan was bitter about the way her mother treated her that she was very cold towards her. I believe that Flemeth loves Morrigan more then she thinks but in order to make sure she survives she had to be cold because we do not know the history of her other daughters...
I love Morrigan and I would think it be cool for her to return in the next game as a playable party member.i never thoigh about why a human mage is doing all this.she just a great character,to her her development from dragonage origins to a kind mother is so nice but she still has that Morrigan sass
@@simmybackup5000 I like the mystery that the lore presents, this ancient event of magisters assaulting the heavens and releasing the Blight, how it all actually ties up tino the ancient elven history and how facts about that history get distorted ... I am sure we will get answers to that, but with every new game it does feel like they completely forgot about some of the things they setup before and just to ignore the diversity of choices we had, and never commit to showing us how they changed the world. I can only assume that the next game after this will be either set another 10 or more years apart from this one or start in a new age, so that the devs can ignore all our past choices and setup a new status quo.
There are few characters in the Dragon Age universe that I would rather see have a happy ending than Morrigan. With that being said though, if she somehow ends up siding with Solas I will not be the one to deliver her that happy ending 😛 While I like the theory, I'm not sure how they're gonna incorporate this if the Inquisitor was the one who drank from the well. We'll see though, great video
@@foxracing8973 I just hope Bioware respects that decision because it seems that the canon is that Morrigan drank from the well but hopefully they take into account if the inquisitor did and not just eliminate that as an option in the new game.
My Inquisitor drank from the Well, like many chose to do, especially amongst us Lavellan Inkies. So I doubt it ties in with Mythal's inheritance (accepting her soul) which I feel from the trailer Morrigan did.
I really think the same things about the souls and Morrigan and Flemeth - But if I remember right, the voice actress of Morrigan tweeted "I'm not in this one" (meaning DA:D) 🤔
@@SeventhheavenDK oh well.. i really want to post that link, but theres no way... So.. The Tweet ist by TheClaudiaBlack posted on 4 th November 2022. "Spoiler - I'm not in this one" as an answer to Amy Evans.
I wonder what will become of Morrigan considering her VA apparently isn't returning in Dreadwolf. Flemeth is clearly important, so Morrigan should be too, but if there's no Claudia Black, I wonder if Morrigan will even show up. And if she doesn't, what's with all the foreshadowing?
Im going to miss Flemeth, I love how Kate Mulgrew did her voice for this role. Who knows! Maybe Bioware will have her be a spirit in the Fade or something
leliana actually has a unique ending in inquisition if he died in origins and didn't become divine and you encouraged her dark side. she turns into a bunch of crows and flies off.
I'm like 99% sure she will inherit Mythal, there was foreshadowing with her saying that she can't imagine what would have to happen for her to accept such a thing (to become possessed by Mythal) so that "Something" will likely happen. While she won't be in the DA:D base game, there is still the chance that she will be in a DLC. I hope the possession won't change her much
I still also feel that Flemeth’s words in DA2 said to Hawke, is what she foresaw whenever Hawke tells the Inquisitor to leave him behind in the Fade. I really do think that if anyone can survive and even thrive inside the Fade and not die would be Hawke. Hawke is a born survivor and I can see how Hawke can somehow return down the line as opposed to Alister, Logain, or even Stroud.
I’m a special kind of oblivious sometimes. I got Origins right at release, played every sequel and even some uh… interesting mobile games. I LOVE Flemeth and Mythal… and I FINALLY just now realized who voices Flemeth/Mythal. The end of this video was playing at the same time I had the Captain Proton episode of Voyager running as background noise and I was like “huh, that kinda sounds like the speech pattern and accent Captain Janeway used while she was playing Arachnia” … Yep. Only took me over a decade. 🤦🏻♂️
This. She's stated herself that she is not working on Dreadwolf which is disappointing. Either Morrigan isn't in it, or they got a different voice actress which sucks too.
Love your videos! Thank you again for letting me rethink what I thought I know. Lots of love for the new year & I hope your channel grows you deserve it! :3
Morrigan is related to Flemeth by blood? Really? Didn't she tell the warden she doesn't know whether she came from Flemeth's womb or not? Did I miss something? Thanks for the video. Take care and stay well.
She tells him/her that technically she is indeed her daughter, or at least that is what Flemeth tells her. Whether Flemeth tells the truth or not only she knows. But in any case...come on! Those yellow eyes are not a coincidence.
soooo… i don’t think i performed the sacrament with M in the first game.. and I swear i never saw her kid one single time in inquisition. is my playthrough just meaningless? lmao.
Well....since my inquisitor drank from the well of sorrows- Morrigan is defs the next vessel of mythal. I dunno- the idea shes the next goddess and has the inquisitor bound to her is much more interesting that the alternate- "She drank from the well of sorrows, but its okay because she became the next Mythal." More drama- especially if she shows up in DAD and commands the Inquisitor to actually kill Solas if they hesitate. Again- more drama is always good in my book Edit: I just realized I worded it to sound like I meant the inquisitor would be the vessel of Mythal. No I meant Morrigan would be the vessel and the Inquisitor would be bound to her
I don't think who drank from the Well will change that at all. Morrigan was raised and it's destined to be the next vessel of Mythal. Don't get confused, the one who drank from the well will be just Mythal's Slave, not the next Mythal. In the case is Morrigan, that will only make things easier for Flemeth to pass her godhood to her daughter. Flemet even tells that to the Inquisitor, she has no plans to keep him/her as a slave, technically she told him/her in that scene that he/she is free to go and has no further interest in the Inquisitor. The Inquisitor drinking from the Well will probably affect something of the interaction with Solas, and even so, don't expect much, because I seriously doubt the Inquisitor will have a big role in the next game.
@@SeventhheavenDK I'm with you there. Solas stated Inky had a few years left to live. I would be surprised if the Inquisitor is alive in the next game. I think Varric will rule what is left of the inquisition especially because if the cartoon is cannon, Varric no longer has a home.
@@SeventhheavenDK I don't think that the inquisitor will not have an important role in the next game, when literally, the fight is between solas and the inquisition so he may not be a playable character but he will be as a secondary in a role that has to be important since we are that this will be the first game that has direct connection with the previous one, this is not the same as Hawke in DA2, here it is different and even the inquisitor has to be a part of it.
Enjoyable video. But I will seriously miss Flemeth. She is a mysterious, charismatic, powerful, intimidating, complex and intelligent, interesting character. Morrigan simply doesn't have that kind of presence. Bad enough they got rid of Bohdan and Sandal.
Inheritor of the new age. Games Name is Dragon Age. So we might come closer to Dragon ages ending And Beginning a New age? I dont know Like in Chinese (Tiger, Dragon, monkey etc)?
I believe Mythal is going to end up being on the side of keeping the veil while Solas is trying to hard wipe Thedas and open it. I'd like to think she understands that causing an apocalypse to to restore the elves is no less evil than what the rest of the Evanirus would do. After 300ish years of possessing Flemeth(s?) she has a perspective on non-elves and just what would be sacrificed by her seeking to destroy the veil. I think Morrigan will willingly inherit the piece of Mythal left in the Eluvian after gaining the understanding of what is actually going on and work with her to stop Solas, afterwards becoming a symbol of a new age where elves can begin moving forward again and coexist with non-elves.
I'm sure it will end up a very interesting and unique story, but she rubbed me wrong in the first game. And the fact that no matter how I tried to stop her, stab her, remove her from my story she persisted. I can recognise she is fine and it just so happens my playthru and dedication to get rid of her is a small % of people. Still at least this will mean I can spite her one more time for the small satisfaction of it.
Funny and yet a bit scary: When we run into Sandal, the simple minded enchanter during the End battle: We see Sandal in the middle of the castle. Player: “Sandal, you’re surrounded by corpses. What Happened?” Sandal: “Enchantment!” I was like “Roflomao….What is this git really capable of?” 😂
Saria: My apologies if you mentioned this in the video and I just blanked out and didn't notice it, but given what Claudia Black said... *SPOILERS for Dreadwolf* ... how do you think Morrigan's story will continue without her voice actor? Or will Morrigan appear at all? Maybe only in letters, or mentioned by others, or not at all? Surely they're not going to recast Claudia Black!
I think Flemeth didn't want to possess Morrigan...what all the "Flemeths" do is transfer the soul of Mythal from one to another, before natural death. They do not lose their will, but it is perhaps modified by the will/power of Mythal being inside of them. This is why Flemeth remarks "a sould cannot be forced upon the unwilling"...Morrigan is not going to be possessed, but to preserve a soul of a goddess. And, well, she kinda likes "preserving". And It is probably gonna happen. Maybe this will be a thing in Dragon age 5/ 4 at the ending.
Knowing these incompetent people making DA:4 and the fact her voice actor says she hasn’t do anything for DA:4 I think they have literally just left her on the sidelines. Worst decision they could make and I hope not. But I really do think that Flemeth and Morrigans story ended in DA:3. Ugh.
I don't know what to think of the Dragon Age series. From someone who loved Origins, wondered WTF was going on with DA2, and Inquisition being so far separated from the other 2 installments, it just seems like a mess of a series. Unlike the Mass Effect trilogy, where all 3 games were telling a coherent story, Dragon Age just seems to be all over the place, using npc's (Morrigan & Flemeth) to tie the stories together. I feel like they're 3 different games with the same name, and unless you spend hours delving into the lore, non of it makes any sense. 🤷♂
@@sarialue Oh I was probably confused ,Luv your videos,Could you do an in detail scope of the elven pantheon please.I am a total geek when it comes to Elven mythology
We’re not even sure Flemeth is true Lu dead. Remember in DA 2 when she placed a piece of herself in the amulet Hawk was carrying around. She stated bodies are so limiting and why can’t she be in more than 1 place??
Morrigan's VA posted a twit some time ago that she's not in the next game (as the voice of Morrigan). If we're being hopeful, this could always mean that they've changed the voice actress OR that she's just not allowed to disclose stuff like this yet 🤣
If you're sharp, Saria, you'll notice that Flemeth had placed the Old God's soul through the Eluvian just before Solas arrived. She had actually sent that soul to someplace else. Where that is... well, it's a secret that only the Dragon Age writers know. Regardless of whichever World State that Thedas was left in, it seems Morrigan may have a more significant role to play in the future. Although I got a feeling it may be a bittersweet outcome. But it's really more of a guess than anything.
I just want her, the warden and ogb to settle down on some farm with the mabari and live out the rest of their day's in peace, the warden already lost one family, dont take another from them
Well, the theories presented in this video completely rely on the fact that you had to have allowed Morrigan to carry out the Dark ritual, helped her do her companion quest, and let her drink the Well of Sorrows to be the "final priest" as you said.🧙🏻🐺 I do however believe that they kind of did write/set her up to be the inheritor/vessel of Mythal but that was only if Morrigan would be freely willing to do so as Flemeth said. They wouldn't force it into the story however because it wouldn't work narratively AT ALL without completely retconning player actions and forcing Morrigan to have taken all of those actions. Mythal's will/spirit was also transferred into Solas and into the Eluvian at the end of the base game anyways. Kieran and the soul of Urthemiel also simply don't exist in a bunch of player playthroughs. They've learned their lesson from ME:3 (hopefully) so there's no way I see them just erasing all of those important player choices and forcing Morrigan into them in Dreadwolf. So, what do I think will happen to Morrigan? Well, motherhood has changed her, and she now lives for Kieran's well-being (if the Dark ritual was done and/or if he's just a normal child). As much as she longs for knowledge and the truths of the old/ancient magics, she would not tear down the current world to accomplish it. Purely due to the fact that Kieran (and the Warden if romanced) may die in that process if it were to happen. The DAO version of her would likely 100% be fine with it but the current version of her? Not so much. Even if you hadn't gone through with the Dark ritual, Morrigan's character has matured so much, and she doesn't wish to be used by her mother (and by Solas as well) in such a way.
Or, her Son is actualy the only one capable of fighting the Dread Wolf/Solas. But one thing in my personal Head Canon is safe to say - she is compared to Flemeth these Days on a complete other Level of skeeming then her ol´Mother. Flemeth was hiding in the Wildernis for Century´s. Morrigan learned from this misstakes and became a part of Socity, a counceler for Kings/Queens. Wich provides way more influence, then living in a Hut in the Woods. And She has way more "friends".. well... knows more People - also Solas threw away his Cover. And if Flemeth wouldn´t had trusted Solas - I think he would have had a tougher Time of killing her. But - The Inqusition knows now about him. It´s safe to say, she is in a way better position to fight Solas then her Mother. - Flemeth literaly walked into the Knife like a Lamb, a mistake Morrigan won´t do twice (if u played in Witch Hunt the Angry Ex Boy Frind). And if Solas targets the Boy also -- he has to face the Wrath of an angry Mommy Morrigan, with accses to the Eluvian´s Network. -- and oh Boy, you do not wanne have an angry Magical Mommy Morrigan coming for you. Solas is like Teryn Loghain -- he's got more on his plate than he can handle. ((But again -- That´s my personal Head Canon at this point. Rumors !! State that at the end of 2023 we MAYBE get Dragon Age 4 - but EA is shrouded in silence, so - no confirmation here. One things sure, one day we get Dragon Age 4 - we gonna meet Solas again, and oh boy do i wanne clap that Guy ))
Well with Morrigan’s VA saying she won’t be in DAD, I don’t think they will do anything with her tbh. DAD is shaping to be the conclusion to the DA story if we didn’t see Morrigan in it then her fate will just remain a mystery. Unless they decide to do a comic or tv show about it
why would morrigan fight to preserve the magic of the elven? because it is very powerful and elegant and amazing and awesome. Imagine an apocalypse came and much of the current knowledge of say quantum mechanics was lost. Regardless of the western origins of QM and schrodinger equation and electrodynamics, any good physicist would weep at the loss of knowledge and try to restore it. same with anything. Mages are mages, regardless of their race, gender, faith etc. If you are good at your job, and Morrigan is one of the best, it has a significance hard to shake off. Now if your job, gives you nearly limitless power and you are a survivor in a world that is increasingly hostile and dangerous. Preserving knowledge and gaining its power is your logical way out. There is nothing strange about Morrigan's desire to protect what was once great, and it is said that current Teventir compares nothing to the true famous glory of the ancient Arlathan. Still, It would make sense that Morrigan at least stay a while in Teventir learning by observing and then maybe moves on. Strong, elegant, determined, talented and hard worker; I guess she is the rightful heir of Flemth no matter how she hates that idea.
To many flaws in this theory players choices differ to much one thing is most of not every poll has the player saying they made it where morrigen doesn't have the god child

Keep up the great work
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Great summation. Morrigan is a favorite of mine. Would love to see her in Dreadwolf. Claudia Black really brings it to the role!
Just like it's likely that the egghead is also an unwitting pawn in her grand chess game.
that quote from Flemeth is from Dragon age 2. I always respond with "cheap advice from a dragon" and Flemeth says "we all have our challenges"
From what I remember, it's not headcanon at all and actually how she got and raised her "daughters".
I remember Morrigan saying something about how her mom's lovers ending up and it wasn't pleasant. Maybe they were blood magic sacrifices to keep her alive or to have daughters?
To be a vessel you must be blood related.
@@Keyatzin it's in the comics
So interesting.
that solus theme close to the end though, really hit's home
Depends on what EA considers canon, I had a different ending where there was no baby
Damn, she's going to need the support of her husband and father of her son. I hope the warden will be there for her and the kid.
For sure for sure I'm waiting for that myself since 2010 -.-
Warden the embodiedment of absentee fathers
@@karandullet380 He is not absent, depending on the players choice he could be with her and his son for 10 years prior to Inquisition.
Damn the high Court of Bioware! How long will they keep me from my family?
Great video as always.
You made my night, such a soothing voice 🎉❤. Great video💕
The editing of this video is just so damn good.
Something tells me we will never see all these questions answered or resolved.
literally . dragon age is just a series of unaswered questions and dropped story threads
From where did you know the Word Veilguard?! It just was released in June 2024...
i changed the name later on, it was dreadwolf before!
Whichever her fate might be I hope that Morrigan will be in the next game
I love Morrigan and her mum. 😍
That has been a big question of mine too as to how they would incorporate it if your Inquisitor was the one who drank from the well.
@@foxracing8973 I just hope Bioware respects that decision because it seems that the canon is that Morrigan drank from the well but hopefully they take into account if the inquisitor did and not just eliminate that as an option in the new game.
Alright, I'm loving these dragon age videos and the lore behind it. Keep it up you're doing wonderful. I'm happy to subscribe
Oh wow I never noticed that Flemeth left part of herself into the eluvian at the end!
I knew that was Alistair's VA, didn't know about Morrigan's saying something like that.
@@SeventhheavenDK oh well.. i really want to post that link, but theres no way... So.. The Tweet ist by TheClaudiaBlack posted on 4 th November 2022. "Spoiler - I'm not in this one" as an answer to Amy Evans.
Feels like forever since the last game.
I still can't figure out if my elven Quizzy should take the power of the well or morrigan.
I doubt her story will develop in a satisfactory way, considering everything else we learned about Veilguard..
What if our Inky drank from the well of sorrows will Bioware decide for us regardless of our decisions, like they did with Leliana?
leliana actually has a unique ending in inquisition if he died in origins and didn't become divine and you encouraged her dark side. she turns into a bunch of crows and flies off.
Yes great way to start the new year
I'm like 99% sure she will inherit Mythal, there was foreshadowing with her saying that she can't imagine what would have to happen for her to accept such a thing (to become possessed by Mythal) so that "Something" will likely happen. While she won't be in the DA:D base game, there is still the chance that she will be in a DLC. I hope the possession won't change her much
But what if the Inquisitor drank From the well instead ? Could that mean the Inqusitor is the next possible vessel for Mythal ?
Sad that the last court is not playable in dragon age keep :(. Wish id knew about it before they´d shut it down.
There are people that saved it. Not sure if they saved the playable game or just all the available decisions.
The end of this video was playing at the same time I had the Captain Proton episode of Voyager running as background noise and I was like “huh, that kinda sounds like the speech pattern and accent Captain Janeway used while she was playing Arachnia”
…
Yep. Only took me over a decade. 🤦🏻♂️
it is too soon to lose Flemeth as a character, the plot still need her, and even Morrigan didn't took al the answers she want from Mythal
I hope after dreadwolf Bioware jumps on the bandwagon of remastering their games visually.
My concern is that claudia black is not in dreadwolf
Morrigan was one of my favorite characters.
@@SeventhheavenDK In Origins, she flatout says she's not related to Flemeth by blood.

We will have to wait to know. Morrigan is not in Dragon Age 4.
Nice how the new game is now called the Veilguard ;)
I love Morrigan a lot. I made her the main squeeze for the Inquisitor in my fan fic DA:I story.
soooo… i don’t think i performed the sacrament with M in the first game.. and I swear i never saw her kid one single time in inquisition. is my playthrough just meaningless? lmao.
God we desperately need Dreadwolf to drop soon...
Again- more drama is always good in my book
Edit: I just realized I worded it to sound like I meant the inquisitor would be the vessel of Mythal. No I meant Morrigan would be the vessel and the Inquisitor would be bound to her
LOL ONE ARMED FLEMMETH? IDK I haven't made it that far... XD
@@chrissyce5613 how come Varric is left without a home?
Bring back hot Claudia Black! #bringbackhotclaudiablack
Enjoyable video. But I will seriously miss Flemeth. She is a mysterious, charismatic, powerful, intimidating, complex and intelligent, interesting character. Morrigan simply doesn't have that kind of presence. Bad enough they got rid of Bohdan and Sandal.
I have doubt that DAI is the time we see Morgan. Even if she's not in the next game. She wasn't in DA2 but still was mentioned.
Flemeth's glow up is out of this world 😆
Inheritor of the new age.
Not gonna lie, Dragon Age: Origins Triss is really giving me some franchise whiplash.
Morrigan is my favorite fictional character of all time.
Just found you’re channel. Bravo 👏 👏 great content!!!!
ty!
Funny and yet a bit scary:
When we run into Sandal, the simple minded enchanter during the End battle: We see Sandal in the middle of the castle.
Player: “Sandal, you’re surrounded by corpses. What Happened?”
Sandal: “Enchantment!”
I was like “Roflomao….What is this git really capable of?” 😂
Morrigan is a blood relative of Flemeth/Mythal? I always thought she was just an adopted daughter.
So I just had a thought. Since Morrigan is Mythal's daughter... does that make her part elf?
Even w/o the spirit of the old god my Kieren is still pretty powerful. He’s a child of two powerful mages.
Saria: My apologies if you mentioned this in the video and I just blanked out and didn't notice it, but given what Claudia Black said... *SPOILERS for Dreadwolf*
... how do you think Morrigan's story will continue without her voice actor? Or will Morrigan appear at all? Maybe only in letters, or mentioned by others, or not at all? Surely they're not going to recast Claudia Black!
8:30 cheap advise coming from a dragon...
@ethanschultz2074 i really believe that female sassy hawke is one of the best protagonists in any game
As always, great video. 🤌🏻
Knowing these incompetent people making DA:4 and the fact her voice actor says she hasn’t do anything for DA:4 I think they have literally just left her on the sidelines. Worst decision they could make and I hope not. But I really do think that Flemeth and Morrigans story ended in DA:3. Ugh.
I think Morrigan will be the one to save humanity from Fen'Harel's doom.
I think you meant the temple of mythal instead of the temple of sacred ashes
we fight Corypheus at the temple of sacred ashes, that is when Morrigan leaves
@@sarialue Oh I was probably confused ,Luv your videos,Could you do an in detail scope of the elven pantheon please.I am a total geek when it comes to Elven mythology
Morrigan is an unfettered mage. Who only settled down after having her son.
But it's really more of a guess than anything.
i mean it differs for each world state about the Old God soul
we also don't know what Mythal's wisp looks like, could just be the same as Urthemiels
if the game stay a dark fantasy as it needs to be i think morrigan will be the vessl to Flemeth
I just want her, the warden and ogb to settle down on some farm with the mabari and live out the rest of their day's in peace, the warden already lost one family, dont take another from them
Well, the theories presented in this video completely rely on the fact that you had to have allowed Morrigan to carry out the Dark ritual, helped her do her companion quest, and let her drink the Well of Sorrows to be the "final priest" as you said.🧙🏻🐺
I do however believe that they kind of did write/set her up to be the inheritor/vessel of Mythal but that was only if Morrigan would be freely willing to do so as Flemeth said.
I haven't seen more than half of these DAI Cutscenes and I have more than 1k hours and 7 separate 100% DAI characters including DLCs.
Huh.
Strong, elegant, determined, talented and hard worker; I guess she is the rightful heir of Flemth no matter how she hates that idea.
morrigan is a dragon also a witch of the wilds, dragons are hard to kill why would she not appear in dragon age dreadwolf
Can't wait to see the Solas haters mald when The Evanuris and The Forgotten Ones will shit on the whole Thedas 😂
O don't get it wouldn't that make them hate him more !?
Plus the reasons for hating him in the first place legit
To many flaws in this theory players choices differ to much one thing is most of not every poll has the player saying they made it where morrigen doesn't have the god child
Did we ever get proof that Morrigan was related by blood to Flemeth?
I wonder who Morrigans father is/was ?
