    Shouldn’t top arm be locked up tall when doing standing pole drop drill?

    • @ApexVaulting
      @ApexVaulting  7 месяцев назад

      Why? If it is already straight above the head when the pole hits the top hand ends up behind the head. And then it has to be moved forward. With the elbow slightly bent when the pole hits the back of the box the arm will straighten out and the top hand wont go as far back.

      @@ApexVaulting if it is up at 1:00 then when the pole hits the box you take the hit in your shoulder’s instead of your back

      @@ApexVaulting why wait for the box & physics to straighten it when it can already be locked up beforehand ???

      @@glenncolivas4273 no disrespect but you do realize if your arm is straight and above your head and the pole hits the box your shoulders and back have to absorb that impact. And then the top hand goes way behind your head which then wastes time because you have to row it forward. How are the push off’s at your club. What does the average girl who grips 12’ jump, average boy that grips 13’? Maybe this is why they can’t get a better push off.
