I love this figure. I usually posed mine Spartan-style. That is hiding behind the shield and firing over or beside it. It made him much more formidable looking
This was one of my favorites as a kid. Sure, the beast mode didn't do much, but he was so cool as a robot. I used to pretend his weapon was something of an automated defense and/or booby trap by having it stand itself up on its legs haha. It was a great figure! It helps if you had an imagination as a child, apparently, instead of expecting the toys to do everything for you without having to be creative on your end at all.
The scary thing is that a snapping turtle/alligator crossbreed could exist somewhere on earth in real life I mean I may not be a biologist but alligators and snapping turtles have a lot in common 1. There both aquatic reptiles 2. strong jaws that can cut off limbs. in this case an aligator snapping turtle 3. similar diet of fish and ambhibians. 3. They can grow pretty big 4. They are both ridgy, with aligators its their skin while aligator snapping turtles have ridged shells 5. They both can be found in america as well as china. 6. both alligators and snapping turtle have sister species such as regular turtles and crocodile as well as regular crocodiles
Partywolf animates Some species do crossbreed, but they have to be very close in terms of a DNA match, like lions and tigers, or Grizzly and polar bears. Crocodiles and turtles can't mate at all. You'll have to settle for the alligator snapping turtle, which somewhat resembles a gator.
I just realized that this guy could've been a great addition to the Beast Wars Neo line who was infamous for its kibble that was hanging off the robot modes. He is very similar to Dead End since he is the shellformer of all shellformers - if you lose both shells, you basically have nothing to Transform him into. It is very much the same with Terragator. Lose the shield and tail you got nothing.
Terragator never made his debut on Beast Wars series back in 1997, because it would be interesting to have more Fuzor transformers beside Quickstrike and Silverbot
he seems slightly Beast Megatronish to me in Robot mode. Could be the beast head shoulder/arm thing, could be the almost Ninja Turtlerish grin, could be the sculpting of the body. I don't know exactly what it is, but I like this figure overall. If I saw him for not too much, I just might pick him up. Thanks, Spada for the review!
Terragator is an awesome toy I got him when I was a kid and he was in shops. If you met an Aligator/Terrapin you should be okay if you run fast. Terragator should of bean in the show as should Airhammer
i love this figure iv been trying to get my hands on it for years in the packaging and out of the packaging. snapper is also one iv been looking for . love those figures. great review. cant wait to see your next one.
@daveh013 Agreed. Something that never ceases to amaze me is how unobtrusive the alligator-shoulder really is. You'd expect it to be heavy and cumbersome, but it's not. Also, the issue with the gun causing the arm to fall and the shield popping off are not universal. If you peg the shield in well, it stays, and I suspect his figure's joints are just loose (I'm pretty surprised my figure's arms are still steady, to be quite honest, he was one of my favorites back in the day, haha).
They definitely derived the first half of the name of Terragator from "terrapins", but the design of the shell appears to be based on "alligator snapping turtles", which kind of makes sense as well considering that alligators and crocodiles look so much alike.
It's a cool figure an all, but a croc and tarpin it is not. The fusion is the combo of the American Alligator and a Alligator Snapping Turtle. Again still cool.
In my opinion, the front legs should fold back to form the robot legs with the back legs fold forward for the hands with the tail push up the robot-head to fold the gator-head down with hidden guns popping out from the shell.
I think you could have him laying on his stomach with the gun on the legs like a stand and the shell covering him like a shelter as a sniper but the only problem with it is his face is stuck pointing downwards and you can't get the shell to stay because of the gator face.
anybody else feel like this guy is Beastwars neo- Dead ends cousin? This guy and dead end seem to be very similar in many respects. Both have gangly robot modes, both are super partsformery. the robot mode bodies look oddly similar.
I just realized his robot head reminds me of Webstor with the gun and shield being held. Don't know why that is as without them I didn't see Webstor, but with them I do.
this is one of my top 10 figures & is way more versatile in robot mode then you let on. I wish I could post pics or even links here. The figure is weird, but awesome in a very unique way.
The beast mode is far superior - but I do like the shell shield... they should have had the gator head spin right side up on the shoulder and the tail should have become a sword or something.
I pretty much agree with you on the review. Terragator does look dumb without the accessories, but with them? I think of him as kind of a big game hunter.
If you ignore the gator head. His robot mode looks like a pre beast wars mode before they scan an animal.
I love this figure. I usually posed mine Spartan-style. That is hiding behind the shield and firing over or beside it. It made him much more formidable looking
I had this as a kid I loved even if it looks goofy as hell in robot form. it was my favorite basic from beast wars
"You need these parts, without these parts the figure is useless" *tosses parts across table XD
He set them he didn’t toss xD

Adi Wadi of
Adi Wadi animals don't naturally cross breed
Partywolf animates Some species do crossbreed, but they have to be very close in terms of a DNA match, like lions and tigers, or Grizzly and polar bears. Crocodiles and turtles can't mate at all. You'll have to settle for the alligator snapping turtle, which somewhat resembles a gator.
What a misunderstanding of genetic compatibility, golly
but crocodilyans and turtles aren't remotely related, apart from being reptiles

If I ran into that thing in real life, I'm pretty sure even fire couldn't kill it.
Terragator:"ah, mud. nature's lotion."
this should get a remake figure
wolkaiser drak
wolkaiser drake פ
פ
what do you call a turtle transformer? a shell former!
Ha!
I was just thinking that he is nothing more than the world's easiest shell-former
I think Terragator is the grandfather of parts-forming
LOL
Ha ha ha.
Very funny, G1 wannabe comedian 😒
Terragator never made his debut on Beast Wars series back in 1997, because it would be interesting to have more Fuzor transformers beside Quickstrike and Silverbot
this is one of my all time favorite figures and Ive been collecting since diaclone
Since diaclone? I’m surprised you were even rich enough to get you hands on them!
It would be funny if he was a "shell" former
really
At least it wouldn't have as much kibble as break.
DaBomb783 Lol. That's funny.
Dabomb783 DEATH PENALTY
Again with that crappy "Shellformer" joke?? seriously, cut that bs out.
This is one of the few ones I still have in completion! Dude's surprisingly durable for an eight dollar figure.
I feel Terragator will be one of those figures that will remain near and dear to my heart just for its concept alone.
he seems slightly Beast Megatronish to me in Robot mode. Could be the beast head shoulder/arm thing, could be the almost Ninja Turtlerish grin, could be the sculpting of the body.

When you took off Terragator's shell, Terragator looks like he’s an Alligator! 😆

great review. cant wait to see your next one.
"Shiteing your pants"
I know I’m super late, but INTERIOR CROCODILE ALLIGATOR I DROVE A CHEVROLET MOVID THEATER
Just received this figure, and it is awesome. Thanks for letting me know about a great figure.
I love Terragator. It’s a great unique Beast Wars figure.
brings a more literal meaning than ever to the term "shellformer" lol
as a kid i never left the house without this figure!
one of my only bw figures from my childhood still in mint, i actually dig his robot mode, kinda like a terminator looking rhinox
Terra-gator. Which means hes a turtle and alligator.
And yea hes one of the best fuzors.
Even love his gun details
They should have given him sling's transformation
Here's another one that I've not seen since I was 12 or so. I love this stuff! Nice work again. 👍

-MagicianDragon-
So it is aligator aligator snapping turtle
Yes, but it has a different head, legs and tail from a Gator's though. Also, the shell is not spiked to the same the degree the toy is.
I guess you could say he's the best INterragator.
I'm dying to see your best of 2010 video
That shell looks like something from Mario..
In my opinion, the front legs should fold back to form the robot legs with the back legs fold forward for the hands with the tail push up the robot-head to fold the gator-head down with hidden guns popping out from the shell.
Tbh I feel like this figure could be put into the transformers line this deserves a new figure for this year
Alligator snapping turtle? Pun appreciated...
I love how Spada keeps referring to him as a crocodile despite the fact that his name is TerraGATOR.
I think you could have him laying on his stomach with the gun on the legs like a stand and the shell covering him like a shelter as a sniper but the only problem with it is his face is stuck pointing downwards and you can't get the shell to stay because of the gator face.

I am an adult that wants a beast wars remake just so I can get the toys.
I ised to have this toy wen i was a kid. Miss it so much. Gotta find it
This alt mode reminds me of an alligator snappingturtle
this is one of my top 10 figures & is way more versatile in robot mode then you let on.
I wish I could post pics or even links here. The figure is weird, but awesome in a very unique way.
In a past life he was a gladiator
He is the glaucha elcupridix aka the samarai crocodile
the robot mode looks like the creature from the black lagoon
I've never had those problems of looseness
Ah, one of my first transformers.
...I like it, looks pretty neat. Hope a 3rd party somehow has a mind to do this figure.
Kinda reminds me of RiD Slapper.
M. Bison same
King Astolfo This came first. The Spittor/Slapper mold came a year after this, if I'm not mistaken.
Maybe that alligator head can be used as a shoulder blaster, similar to RiD Slapper!
a real alligator snapping turtle XD
Interior Crocodile Alligator I drive a Chevrolet Movie Theatre!
Terragator's robot head kinda reminds me of Rhinox's robot head.
The beast mode is far superior - but I do like the shell shield... they should have had the gator head spin right side up on the shoulder and the tail should have become a sword or something.
''and its shiny'' i found the way you said that funny
Terrorgator looks like slapper
Who came up with the term "kibble"?
I had this one, might still have it somewhere.
An alligator snapping turtle that’s is, but isn’t an alligator Snapping turtle!.🤣.
I find it funny that he wears pants
it kinda looks like a mutant aligator snapping turtle
Wow nine years
I pretty much agree with you on the review. Terragator does look dumb without the accessories, but with them? I think of him as kind of a big game hunter.
I'm surprised Hasbro never got sued over the toy name.
Terragator's face looks like rhinox.
Good one theblurr prime
Quite literally a shell former
I would personally use the gun more as a sword tail
@MrAstrotrain1984 That may be why he reminds me of Megs. Thanks.
Look in the Shell of the thing.
I will buy one on eBay
It's a terrapin. A tiny turtle. I had one as a pet before lol.
I still have one of his feet somewhere, that and air hammer's head
Nice! I have a Terragatpr without the shell
There is a type of turtle that is call a alligator snapping turtle it could literally rip your arm off
Terragator is voiced by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
I just wanna point out that that is NOT a terrapin Shell, that's a snapping Turtle Shell.
he could use the shell like a koopa shell XP
Its bowser in transformers form.
Ohh I had this Guy as a Kid the Shell reminded me of a Pineapple for some reason I dont know It might have been the Colour of the Shell!
@TrueNomadSkies LOL I thought that last part was hilarious!
fact: crocs have axles. geuss you learn something new every day
i think hes cool and i would like to have him in my beast wars collection :3
So its a croca-turtle?
Ala-turtle* lol
croc and turtle...soooo...he is bowser the transformer?
A lance perhaps?
it's funny because his name sounds like Interragator
WHAT IS THIS THING I NEEEEEED ITTTTT
He kinda looks like a generic protoform or one of those generic bots from the show in robot mode.
wow this was my first fail on drawing for a turtle when i was in first grade
It's an "alligator snapping turtle"
it's a real animal, it looks like a mini. bowser
it's a alligator snapping turtle!!!!!!!!
Is it a predicon
shell reminds me of the tokka toy from tmnt
send him to Jin Saotome. He's an awesome customizer.
