I like to imagine this dude to be some kinda of experiment tarantulas made to be the ultimate predacon but something went horribly wrong and transquito then goes around killing and sucking the energon out of maximals and predacon alike
I have one ot these, and have to agree with the creepy factor. One thing that adds even more to the creep is the human-like robot-mode hands, quite visible in insect mode as well. One problem mine has is that the insect head pieces don't want to stay together, so the spring-loaded flip gimmick on the missle launcher/head doesn't want to stay in place.
One of my least favorite Transformers that I own. There's a lot to dislike about the figure IMO but yeah that is a big one for me as well. Those hands are just wrong. It kinda looks like he stole them off a mannequin or something.
I think it's time to already build a team of the creepiest and scariest Beast wars insect-transformers of all time, which includes such transformers as : Scarem, Manterror, Injector, maybe Scavenger or Powerpinch, BuzzClaw and Transquito will be the leader of this creepy guys team ( this is just my opinion and personal preference on that thing, if you think differently about it, please, comment me, what you think)!
Look pretty awesome. The only thing that kill this figure for me is the fact that the bug legs just hang out on the robot's arms. Still, that "attack mode" can be a second bug mode easy.
I would be shocked to see Transquito for $30 on eBay. He was a shelf warmer for YEARS. My local TRU was already into Armada and they still had about 6 or 8 Transquitos on the shelf.
my favorite Beast Wars figures have got to be the insects. Most of them have this alien/monster look to them. They also have some of the best beast modes. Well that is if you don't count Retrax.....
I think the thing that creeped me out was the humanoid hands sticking out of the front of it in beast mode. That, combined with the flesh tone, is just creepy.
I don't recall if I ever got this figure when I was young, but I think I remember having a figure with similar arms, and the wings turning into pincers look familiar.
It's actually a form of amblypygid, which are also known as whip spiders or tailless whip scorpions. They are a whole new kind of terror I just found out about that I'm glad I don't have to face in the west coast.
Mine was way too loose right out of the box when I bought it new back in the day. I have to hold him together with rubber bands or tape when displaying him, he is just too fiddly and falls apart. So he usually sits in a box somewhere.
This was my favorite Predacon for almost two years, and I wish I still had one. easily would spend up to 50 bucks to get him again, but I'd want him new. Great review! makes me want to find him again.
he seem to be the scarriest insect figure, monsterous evil, but yet cool and one hard dude for the maximals to beat, the toughest insect even more menasing than the tarantulas. i say get him.
I used to think when I was little on how it was weird that this was a Beast Wars yet the robot looks like something off of the movie Predator. Even the robot hands don't look robotic. Even though I was an easy child because birthdays and Christmas, they would give me Beast Wars figures, even though I recognize the rapping, but a mystery on who they got me and even though I was happy that I got this figure, I don't understand how my parents got me this figure lol
It seems like a cross between an Amblypygid and an Ant Lion larva. Whatever it is, it certainly passes for its own separate bug mode. Beast Wars didn't have many triple-changers, most being the Transmetals with slightly modified Beast Modes classed as separate modes. The only figures in the line that really sell themselves as having three completely separate modes are Transquito, Rampage, Optimal Optimus (with four modes) and Transmetal Waspinator (the wings do a good job of making him look like an actual jet and not just a wasp with jet parts attached). Transmetal Terrorsaur could have worked as well if they'd worked it so the cockpit detail actually was a cockpit and not half-assed slightly moved engine coverings, and although B'Boom is a good battle platform, he still looks like a half-transformed toy in it.
He looks like a nice size voyager figure ? How big is he compared to the more recent voyagers ? Cuz I know voyagers back then where bigger then the ones now a days.
this thing makes me think of that syfy channel movie Mansquito....Wait, that's it! This is mansquito gone techno-organic! He was hard enough to kill as a normal mutant monster, we're doomed now!
@Solaescien in the netherlands we never even had generations >.> first transformers toys/figures got released in 2007 with the new movie before that there were no transformers toys /figures
The exposed flesh-colored hands in beast mode are especially creepy.
Thats the first thing I noticed
Well the Japanese anime of transquito was a triple changer. The "attack mode" was actually an ant lion
Thank you someone else noticed that
@@ralphremo2406 actually in idw or somewhere in the comic he have been confirmed to be a triple changer
@@rodimusunicronus2089 I was talking about his Third Mode being an Antlion I wasn't saying that he's not a Triple Changer

That's damn close to the head canon i had with my transquito and some of the fuZors I had
Imagine if that was the plot of an episode.
@@b_e7668Imagine that being a lost episode of Beast Wars. It’d make a good Creepypasta

His hands look way too human for the whole design. That somehow greeps me out.

What does greeps mean
I had this when I was little, I took it to my grandma's birthday dinner and everyone was creeped out by it. Good times. X)

Yeah, I'm still so juicy and this idea still works really well.
wasssssppiinator is unimpressed
I like they kept the facial design with Jetstorm. It's almost as if Jetstorm was supposed to be an army builder to accompany Transquito.
Look pretty awesome. The only thing that kill this figure for me is the fact that the bug legs just hang out on the robot's arms.

I´ve never noticed (until now) that Jetstorm, Skyshadow and Transquito have the same face.
Holy shit, you’re right!
You know Transquito is voiced by Tim Curry.
Transquito has the Mega Man boots going
"this is the only transformer that has creeped the living hell out of me" nightscream though.....
my favorite Beast Wars figures have got to be the insects. Most of them have this alien/monster look to them. They also have some of the best beast modes. Well that is if you don't count Retrax.....
one day, i will be in a toy store, and i will find this guy, coated in layers of dust, still on the shelf
Probably my favorite Beast wars toy and my 1st Transformer toy. Still have him. 😎🏆
He looks like the predator xenomorph hybrid from alien vs predator
It's called a Predalien
Dude...I love the look of this figure.
dude this figure looks awesome, not a big fan of mosquito's but this figure is pure win.
I think the thing that creeped me out was the humanoid hands sticking out of the front of it in beast mode. That, combined with the flesh tone, is just creepy.
Hasbro man, you guys nailed this once. I am definitely going to look for this one actively.
He’s a mega class figure and also a triple changer.
That attack mode looks like an antlion. They could've used it as a separate drone or character. Transquito is just plain creepy. >~
That and the fact that he turns into a mosquito, an animal that has caused more deaths each year than, say, a shark or a lightning strike.
I don't recall if I ever got this figure when I was young, but I think I remember having a figure with similar arms, and the wings turning into pincers look familiar.
If he creeps you out, it's doing it's job.
I really godda get me one of these. I really dig the design in both Beast and robot mode. And looooove the gold and purple color scheme
the almost human hands and foer arms that you can see near the head in beast mode add to the creep factor
I believe the "attack mode" was based on a vinegaroon, a type of scorpion
I saw this guy with such a low price, that I'm surprised that there was no "will pay you" in product description
I’m more concerned about the legs being hollower than the promises I keep to myself.
I got a feeling that if it did get onto the show, a Belou Legousi impersonater would voice him.
and thus, baltmatrix did this entire review blindfolded
he can vibe check you in any mode 0.0
the attack mode is like a scorpion with it's tail shrunken. plus the robot mode face is just so damn scary!
It's actually a form of amblypygid, which are also known as whip spiders or tailless whip scorpions. They are a whole new kind of terror I just found out about that I'm glad I don't have to face in the west coast.
I love this figure so much.

I don’t like Mosquitoes, but I really want that guy!!! 🦟
I remember having Transquito, he was AWESOME.
Good lord. It's like an insectophobe's worst nightmare got turned into an action figure.
This toy is so cool, wish I had this when I was a kid... Wish I had it now lol
One of the only times the details are REALLY good...they make a GIANT MOSQUITO!!!
Seeing human hands in beast mode is what creeps me out.
this was the only beast wars toy i had.....brings back memories dude!
This was my favorite Predacon for almost two years, and I wish I still had one. easily would spend up to 50 bucks to get him again, but I'd want him new. Great review! makes me want to find him again.
They might reissue him
0:46 ur first term suited the situation better then ur second
I love this fella, one of my first transformers. It is creepy, but I think thats good
I HATE mosquitoes, but I had this guy when I was younger and loved it. I miss him. =/
Hm... One of the things that I find off about the Beast mode is that it looks too fat and compact...
Thats gotta be one heck of an itchy bump he leaves.
he seem to be the scarriest insect figure, monsterous evil, but yet cool and one hard dude for the maximals to beat, the toughest insect even more menasing than the tarantulas. i say get him.
this was teh one i couldn't remember the name of but i still have him along side my other Beast wars figures
Another creep factor is his Robot mode's hands look like they were implanted from a human being mutilated arms..
I have one of these sitting on my shelf. second hand (at least) and missing the missile though
Unlike Transquito
Bigmos, he is a nice guy, and the leader of a group of insects maximal called Insectrons of beast wars II
The face looks like nightstalker from dota2
More looks like the preditor
of how creepy it is, he should be 2nd in command of the predacons instead of scorponok.
I used to think when I was little on how it was weird that this was a Beast Wars yet the robot looks like something off of the movie Predator. Even the robot hands don't look robotic. It's like they were TRYING to make a shelf-warmer!
Time for a Generations Voyager/Leader Class Transquito
Question is; How many years would it warm the shelves for? 😂😂😂😂
@@dakotagonet3311 *OVER 9000!*
He has a really cool robot mode
IT DEFINITELY RIMIDES ME OF THE FLY TO MUCH.
Triple changer from Mosquito to Amblypygi to robot
I have no idea why this toy was a shelfwarmer but bboom was not.
for me his wings always snapped at the point where they can be made into that base mods jaws, or the enitire wings snapped off altogether
I do like how beefy it looks
I would suggest the head looks more like a predator (from the predator movies)
why people hate this mold? i always wanted it
Hmmm is it just me or daes he look like an Ant Lion when hes in attack Mode? The overall Design sure is similar.
I think it's a triple changer since its attack mode reminds me of a bug, dont know what though
It seems like a cross between an Amblypygid and an Ant Lion larva. Whatever it is, it certainly passes for its own separate bug mode.

if a bugformer's alt mode is really creepy, hasbro did their job.
I love the color scheme
His face in robot mode looks like the Balakai from the movie DNA.
Could work with Inferno and Waspinator c:
Question: Did you ever gotten your hands on Beast Wars Retrax? And if so have you ever done a review on him?
I had this toy when i was little, and i loved it.
Wow, a predacon that spits on you to attack. Now I'm scared.
Transquito head looks like Majin Buu. 😎
i knew where you live, on helloween i would dress myslef in Transquito costume to trick or treat you XD kiddin' :)
You know his base attack mode looks like an earwig.
He looks like a nice size voyager figure ? How big is he compared to the more recent voyagers ? Cuz I know voyagers back then where bigger then the ones now a days.
BUGS ME XD
I still find that pun funny
.... and it looks like has dead human hands sticking out from under the body in beast mode...
I think his attack mode is suppose to be a whip tail scorpion?
« Age 5 and up » ... Who would want to give such a creepy figure to a five year old??!
Proboscis. The "missle" is called "proboscis". Glad to help if I did.
i love this guy just went to a transformers convention helped a guy sort some figures and he gave me one for free
Dem breaking wings D:
this thing makes me think of that syfy channel movie Mansquito....Wait, that's it! This is mansquito gone techno-organic! He was hard enough to kill as a normal mutant monster, we're doomed now!
I think he looks awesome
imagine if transquito was in the show and fought with silverbolt to win black arachnias heart but every time he tries to kiss her she hits him.
Adi Wadi Why didn't they do that? He could have been Waspinator's love rival.
Transquito transforms into Mosquito, Stag Beetle and Robot?!
Proboscis, and 8472
Baltmatrix, the face of Transquito in robot-mode looks more like the face of the Predator from the Predator-movie from mine opinion.
I love this figure, I definitely love mosquitos, the visible hands in beast mode is creepy though.
You love itchiness?
I love the way they look Lol
