I love how each form Cheetor gets is a stage in his growth. His original body being that of a kid, trans metal 1 a pre-teen, trans metal 2, a teenager, and his techno-organic form is that of an adult.

Seeing Optimus lift Cheetor as if he was a proud father is definitely one of my favorite moments in this season and the show in general :D

To becoming the next leader of the Maximals. Cheetor is probably the best character in the series because we see him grow up and mature throughout both Beast Wars and Beast Machines. His tale is the coming of age story and it was beautiful.

He only uses beast for a shield block mode. He uses his jet mode to fly everywhere, his tank mode was used for getting the other Maximals he had to get out of a rocky pile and get back to the Ark in Feral Scream prt 1

I forgot how bad-ass Cheetor was!
It is funny how in childhood I always subconsciously loved the characters most who eventually became the heroes.
E.g. Cheetor was just a kid early BW, but he is also the ONLY out of all series, who had a complete arc from start to beginning (eventually becoming the new Maximal leader in Beast Machines).
My thoughts exactly! No one else was there since episode one of Beast Wars until the last episode of Beast Machines had a full character arc. I know Beast Machines wasn't that popular among fans but if Cheetor is your favorite character then you HAVE to watch Beast Machines if you want to seem him rise up all the way to the top as next leader of the Maximals. In Beast Machines, probably one of the best and most emotional moments in both series happens when Optimus, damaged or ill, appoints Cheetor to be the leader of the Maximals since Optimus currently wouldn't be able to do so. Hearing Cheetor just simply say "Me?" was intense and it was that moment we as fans realized that he was no longer the starting space cadet we first met in the first episode of Beast Wars. He had completely grown up and was now ready to take on the responsibilities of being leader. Hell, with this new sense of responsibility, he FORCED Optimus to stand down as leader a few episodes later because he saw that Optimus wasn't thinking clearly and was putting the Maximals in danger. So with that being said, Cheetor turned out to be one of the best characters in not just both of these series but the whole Transformers franchise in general.

I liked Cheetor's first Transmetal form the most cause it was shiny and colorful just like Rattrap's

I wish the current TF shows/story lines learned more from Beast Wars. The transformers upgraded their forms as the war progressed, also one of the only shows to not have humans (besides our ancestors, which did lead to the best story line with dinobot and the end of the series as it was used well), and the inclusion of the G1 history. As a kid when this originally aired, it was such a great show to catch week to week.

one thing i noticed rewatching this show is how optimal optimus almost never uses his beast mode in season 3, in fact i think this epísode is the last of the season where he uses the beast mode, after that he always on robot mode or fly mode.

Cheetor doesn't look as good (non-beast mode) as he did prior but I will say his beast mode is good and his fighting style very much improved. Thanks for the episode.

I know these comments were from a long time ago, but despite Cheetor's growth in the show being a positive, I really can't find myself liking Beast Machines as well knowing that it was the sequel to the Beast Wars (now I know it can be enjoyed by ignoring that it's the sequel, but it really doesn't work for me knowing that they're meant to be the same characters). I'll take the transmetals any day over the techno organic crap we got. I'm just here to show I'm a fan of the Beast Wars as well!

@theww3abc In RM yeah but I think his BM is fairly kickass, though not as kickass as Tm2 DB's. IMO it was an attempt to save Cheetor from the Scrappy pile by having him take a level in Badass.
Thought occurs to me that this is the 2nd time Cheetor got stuck in a feral state in BM and Optimus coaching him is very reminiscent of the whole "I Am Transformed" shinanagens in the sequel series.
