When you mentioned that he was used as a harbinger of Unicron for Beast Wars Neo, after seeing his robot mode, I honestly would believe that. It's probably one of the most imposing robot designs I have seen from the Fuzors. Hell, I'd say even the whole "flayed animal on his back" works in his favour under the harbinger context. =P
Oh, the queaking and cracking sounds of the gold plastic made my skin crawl... such a cool mould, such a shame with the gps (and the repaint seems to be next-to-impossible to get a hold of)
this guy is supposed to be mammoth in size. why isn't the figure bigger? not only would he look like a tank, but there would be more room for transformation.
I feel like they really missed a trick not making this guy huge, what with him being an elephant and a whale, and having him be sort of the beast wars equivalent to omega supreme.
Yeah, GPS destroyed my first TM Megatron, too. I bought an incomplete one from eBay a few years ago and swapped the missing pieces onto it from mine, and he's still in good shape. I've been very careful with it since, though. I also have a creaky Mutants Soundwave, a Magnaboss' Silverbolt that I've done the same thing for but the new one broke too in the same place, and a Randy lining the bottom of a drawer.
Too Torca never made his debut on Beast Wars series back in 1997, because it would be interesting to have more Fuzor transformers beside Quickstrike and Silverbot.
You know I was JUST looking at this figure online - you can get him for $12 MIB which is very cheap - he does look cool in beast mode - just a fun figure to have. I agree with the gold paint - should have been greyish or brownish to match and elephant - and I'd like to have seen the feet more elephant like
This figures terrifying beast mode is NOT of HasKen design. It was designed by a concept artist named Khang and was used without his permission. Same thing probably occurred with Bantors beast mode design as well.
I don't know if it's the paint or just the look of the beast mode... but I can't help but look at this toy I've been watching baltmatrix videos for hours and I kept focusing on this thumbnail.
@supremeprime1997, many figures from letter parts of Generation 1 through Beast Wars with brown/gold metallic plastics have a defect that has been dubbed gold plastic syndrome (GPS). It is a defect caused by the metallic flakes in the plastic causing it to become severely brittle over time. Some GPS figures are known to literally deteriorate into dust. Torca and Transmetals Megatron are two figures commonly suffering from GPS.
I actually bought this figure years ago, but sadly it fell victim to gold plastic syndrome. The poor thing is in shambles now. On the upside, one thing the review doesn't mention is the weapon has a water gun gimmick, which is operated by pushing the dorsal fin forward. It's nice because unlike the gimmick in Beast Wars Jetstorm it doesn't hinder poseability.
Don't get me wrong, some of these Fuzors were cool, but...does anyone else get freaked out by some of these fusion design choices, possibly even a little grossed out due to the detail in the plastic?
To comment on this figure: I've never liked this one that much but I do really like the BW2 recolor, Elephorca. I've been looking for him on eBay for a few years but haven't seen him once.
Fuzors are basically *IMPOSSIBLE CREATURES (100% sure nobody knows what I am talking about)* turned into transformers and I fuckin love the concept because I have so much nostalgia with the game - so I absolutely love *ALL* the Fuzors because they are not just only cool looking but also *'kinda'* realistic
@Nickster891 Well, technically it's Mezool and Gamel's. Kazari just happened to be able to create that kind of chimera Yummy since he possessed both of their Core medals inside his body :)
@baltmatrix Which is likely why the repaint Elephorca is so popular; he doesn't have that problem (and the blue for the elephant parts does look a little better for an elephant).
He sorta looks like a reformatted Fuzors form of Rhinox, all in terms of body proportion, transformation, face and that tongue+lower jaw as a chestplate.
I saw one in an antique mall and wanted to get it, but I had to pass. I didn’t want to be the reason it breaks. To be fair, most of the joints seem to be made of white plastic rather than gold, but STILL. I wasn’t taking any chances.
There for awhile I thought you said Tokka. I didn't really pay attention to the title. I was going to ask where Rahzar was but that joke wouldn't have worked. Good review as always.
Super good job! When you say White plastic, do you not mean the ivory? I think that is what they were going for. I so wish I had seen this guy and picked him up. He looks so very sweet.
@Nickster891 Come to think of it, I somehow now believe that the panda part may probably came from Kazari instead of Gamel since I view Kazari more as a furry beast Greeed than one that's constructed from certain species of felines. I dunno, I think it's just me that I don't really consider a Panda as a heavyweight or "amoured" animal which Gamel is known for..
@RedGemAlchemist I at least try to acquire them MISB and leave them as such. The only reason I have a few GPS sufferers loose in my collection is because I bought them in a large lot from a friend.
@baltmatrix that's why i waited a year before i finally found a japaneese version of megs in two pack with primal. this meggy (thank god) does not have the cursed gold problem
I had this as a kid, I think I got pissed and ended up breaking it from not being able to transform it. I remember now why I never got into the transformers as a kid lmao.
if he doesn't have gold plastic syndrome, then you'r a lucky guy XP i had beast wars magnabois and silverbolt(eagle) didn't have GPS but because another circumstances, he, prowl(lion) and ironhide(elephant) got badly damaged but you have here a really nice figure, not many people can say that they have their TORCAS intact and for the jaws , why not moving them right over the shoulders? that will make the robot mode more stable and better looking
@baltmatrix When I got my TM Megatron, it was loose and in Beast Mode. I transformed it into Robot mode and put him on the shelf, where he will stay. I try not to look at him to hard so that he does not break.
the plastic of this toy is know to easily break or pulverize...they will all fail sooner later....not sure if it was the paint or the type of plastic they used
When you mentioned that he was used as a harbinger of Unicron for Beast Wars Neo, after seeing his robot mode, I honestly would believe that. The Beast Mode is full of nightmare fuel.
All the better to cause Predacons to have an oil leak with, yeeeesss!
Or wet dreams...

Torca:"land or sea?!!! primus, I'm so torn!!!!"
I feel like they really missed a trick not making this guy huge, what with him being an elephant and a whale, and having him be sort of the beast wars equivalent to omega supreme.
Always gave me Ultra Magnus vibes.
Can you imagine a beast like this that has a robot mode that's just two bots grotesquely fuzed together?
Yeah, GPS destroyed my first TM Megatron, too. I bought an incomplete one from eBay a few years ago and swapped the missing pieces onto it from mine, and he's still in good shape. Who thinks that Fuzors should have there own TV show!
Chicone Studios i think your right
Me,!
Beast Wars: Tales of the Fuzors
I do! It would make up for how few we got in the final seasons of Beast Wars!
The beast mode reminds me of a Street Shark.
he looks actually very cool! i do like the gold color on the beast mode and the robot mode is actually quite posable
But it’s actually gold plastic it’s known to break
Too Torca never made his debut on Beast Wars series back in 1997, because it would be interesting to have more Fuzor transformers beside Quickstrike and Silverbot.
Yeah. Its sad that there are only 2 fuzor (If you count tigerhawk ıts 3 but no) They were so many fuzors besides them.
I'd really love to have that toy.
But that GOLD PLASTIC is scary.
You know I was JUST looking at this figure online - you can get him for $12 MIB which is very cheap - he does look cool in beast mode - just a fun figure to have. I agree with the gold paint - should have been greyish or brownish to match and elephant - and I'd like to have seen the feet more elephant like
That beast mode is awesome. I get strong Kothoga (from the Relic) vibes.
This fuzor scares the hell out of me
my favorite fuzor :3
To me it kind of reminds me of armarda Megatron
To me this guy looks like rhinox
This figures terrifying beast mode is NOT of HasKen design. It was designed by a concept artist named Khang and was used without his permission. Same thing probably occurred with Bantors beast mode design as well.

The robot mode looks like a freaking samurai.
Come on elephant can visit SeaWorld.
lol

He looks like a chaos space marine lol
i remember my dad bought this for me when i was a kid the dude literaly scared the shit out of me
Looks like the monster Zamtros from MHU4
+ThatGuyWithTheTripod It's like a Zamtrios with two huge tusks protuding from its mouth, which makes it potentially worse...
Don't get me wrong, some of these Fuzors were cool, but...does anyone else get freaked out by some of these fusion design choices, possibly even a little grossed out due to the detail in the plastic?
Torca, MAXIMIZE!!!
I loved those toys with a squirt gun gimmick like Torca and Megatron
This is one of my favorite Beast Wars character rankings I love you Torc
a
I heard this toy suffers from gps
Sadly yes ...
Why hasn’t anyone taken it apart and scanned it to print out a better one or copy the mold
I HAD THIS DUDE! i loved it, and the gun was a tiny water gun i think
Orichumo BOTASU yeah me too
you're right :3
two of the worlds largest animals combined into one behemoth
what more could you want
Torca is straight up nightmare fuel
flclfan85
Especially those damn teeth
Torca looks like he's wearing A diaper.
Ha-HA!
Oh STFU
To comment on this figure: I've never liked this one that much but I do really like the BW2 recolor, Elephorca. I've been looking for him on eBay for a few years but haven't seen him once.
the beast mode looks funny

That figure looks like a robot dissecting a freaking mutant elephant whale from inside.
@baltmatrix Which is likely why the repaint Elephorca is so popular; he doesn't have that problem (and the blue for the elephant parts does look a little better for an elephant).
I could have sworn I saw this in a Roger Corman movie.
If they ever re-released the figure, I seriously hope they fix the GPS (but that's just me jumping the gun)...
He's beast mode needs a bike of nightmares...
it'd be nice if the tail was on a double joint so that the tail could completely fold into the cavity the gun sits in
Be extraordinarily careful with this one, as it is prone to GPS all over. Mine broke at the tail hinge. Also, the gun can squirt water.
He sorta looks like a reformatted Fuzors form of Rhinox, all in terms of body proportion, transformation, face and that tongue+lower jaw as a chestplate.

@baltmatrix Did you eventully get a Beast Wars Metals Megatron as a replacement? The Japanese version of him as far as I know doesn't suffer GPS.
There for awhile I thought you said Tokka. I didn't really pay attention to the title. I was going to ask where Rahzar was but that joke wouldn't have worked. Good review as always.
There is a rumor that Torca will be voiced by Cedric the Entertainer.
It’s a damn shame this guy has GPS because he is really cool
Good figure, shame it’s nearly entirely Gold Plastic…
Yeah, the tail part of my torca is already broken.
The beast mode reminds me of the monster from the movie version of The Relic.
Super good job!
When you say White plastic, do you not mean the ivory?
I think that is what they were going for.
I so wish I had seen this guy and picked him up. He looks so very sweet.
I've always liked this figure for some reason. BEcause fo the GPS though, i'm really tempted to order 2 when i get him, one for either mode.
@onixprime I do the smart thing and completely avoid buying figures that have even been KNOWN to suffer from GPS.
you would think he would be in the show since they had three seasons
Imagine if you saw this at your zoo.
Bruh imagine if he was the commander class.
he vaguely reminds me of Venom from Marvel comics
HarlequinLiger
Yeah I can see it!
@Nickster891
Come to think of it, I somehow now believe that the panda part may probably came from Kazari instead of Gamel since I view Kazari more as a furry beast Greeed than one that's constructed from certain species of felines. Unless a beached orca in a jungle or a drowning elephant
Amazing 😍
@RedGemAlchemist I at least try to acquire them MISB and leave them as such. The only reason I have a few GPS sufferers loose in my collection is because I bought them in a large lot from a friend.
@baltmatrix that's why i waited a year before i finally found a japaneese version of megs in two pack with primal. this meggy (thank god) does not have the cursed gold problem
The beast mode looks like tiger shark from invizamals
I wish they would re-issue him without the gps.
Hilarious, he's a Maximal
Is he a Maximal or a Predacon?
look's like he's a maximal.
Maximal
Predacon are evil insects, reptiles and dinosaurs
Maximal are good mammals, fish, birds and animals
I had this as a kid, I think I got pissed and ended up breaking it from not being able to transform it. I remember now why I never got into the transformers as a kid lmao.
I wonder what Torca's personality's like?
@baltmatrix I did not know this. Fascinating.
baltmatrix, your a cool dude
without the fin @1:34 it looks like stitch laughing LOL!
I always thought it was a bull and orca
Torca Maximize!
He reminds me of the kothoga from Relic.
@baltmatrix let me guess the waist peg broke?
YAAAAY!!
RANDOM FACTS!
so, this is the cross between a crouched over Evangelion and an elephant eh????
Get a load of Proto-AOE Grimlock over here.
Cant watch no internet.YAY INTERNET!
if he doesn't have gold plastic syndrome, then you'r a lucky guy
XP
i had beast wars magnabois and silverbolt(eagle) didn't have GPS but because another circumstances, he, prowl(lion) and ironhide(elephant) got badly damaged
but you have here a really nice figure, not many people can say that they have their TORCAS intact

Anyone else getting a mh akantor vibe from this
@baltmatrix When I got my TM Megatron, it was loose and in Beast Mode. I transformed it into Robot mode and put him on the shelf, where he will stay. I try not to look at him to hard so that he does not break.
Looks really good but don't think I'll ever buy it, GPS is too scary for me 😅.
I hate this version but the blue version is gorgeous.
elephorcas don't exist silly me :P
if i owned this id want to keep him in beast mode
I've never been brave enough to transform this guy. Gold plastic syndrome isn't fun.
it's an ultralisk!
Wish they gaved him a hammer or a battle axe
the plastic of this toy is know to easily break or pulverize...they will all fail sooner later....not sure if it was the paint or the type of plastic they used
Torka is half orca half elephant.
He looks like Estark hahaha!
reminds me alot of Rhinox from BW
If you made a figure would it have Balt joints?
