Well explained, thanks 😉 i didn’t realize there was urea in this glow tonic, which is great. I tested the pixi pH twice with low range pH test strips and it’s 3-3.5 (a good range) for anyone interested. Of course I’m not a chemist, but thought maybe they changed their formula since this video to an optimal pH. I’ve only used the Pixi product a couple days and I feel a difference, I really like it! Not drying but leaves a nice dewiness.
I have both and prefer The Ordinary as it's much better value for money. This video is fab as I need to repurchase but I didn't know which product had the better formulation. Now I know. TO all the way, thank you :)
I have used the Pixi glow tonic every day for years and love!..smooths and softens my skin as preps for skincare..I don’t like the scent..it use to be ok but idk the changed it some time back.. Thought I would give the ordinary a try..love the price!..love the packaging..love the no scent.. But..it’s been drying my face and it’s taken on a rougher texture..it must be the increased percentage even if a little. My plan is I’m gunna switch things up and go back to daily with pixi and once or twice a week with the ordinary... Fingers crossed
I like both products honestly, but if I had to choose one, I would go for The Ordinary. It's effective, inexpensive, and I just like the bottle better.
This was great Comparing toner Haven’t tried even one but If I have to go for one I say Ordinary it’s not that expensive and the information on it I like ❤️
I absolutely enjoyed your video!! Very informative and great energy I have Rosacea and I’m very fair skin I have Pixi products so I’m going to try them out I usually use Cerave so I’ll see what happens I’d love to have you on my RUclips channel as a guest Much success and I’ll let you know how I make out
I’ve been using Pixi Glow Tonic for years, and thinking to go for TO glycolic acid for the higher % of acid. However i do love pixi ginseng smell which gives that calm feeling hehe.
could you make a video on the different kinds of retinol and how they work on the skin? like tretinoin vs differin? Im curious because I used differin for 5 weeks and it made my skin break out in areas it doesnt normally, so my derm recommended tretinoin!
Hi Karishma, Yes I def have a video on retinoids planned for my future videos. Retinol is a form of retinoids. Retinoids ( retinyl palmitate -> retinol-> retinaldehyde-> retinoic acid) are some of the popular retinoids. The differen gel you're using has 0.1% retinol as the active ingredient, which might be too harsh on your skin, consider using a smaller %age b/w 0.01-0.05% :) I would follow your derms advice on the switch to tretinoin as they are an expert and knowledgeable enough to prescribe the right % retinoid for you!
What toner do you think won this battle?

Please guide me how to use pixi toner
u use it after a cleanser, just dab it with your palms or cotton pad around the circumference of your face gently!
I used ordinary "mandelic acid" and now i have acne on a face.
so sorry to hear that...maybe your skin is sensitized!
