Actually I started playing Peach maybe, one month ago, and I instantly felt like it was my favorite character in the game. Then I started looking up videos on how to play her on the Internet, and i was almost disgusted by how hard it was to become consistent at JCFFing. But now thanks to you I discovered that there are many other techniques that i can use, even online, and that doesnt require an almost frame perfect input. Thanks a lot :)
Yeah, JCFF really takes a long time to master, but it's one of her most essential techs. Tho, once you get consistant with JCFF, you unlock a whole new world of options for Peach
I think it makes people feel good when they brag about how "technical" their character is, but it ends up deterring new players. You can certainly play Peach in a highly technical manner, but it actually isn't necessary.
I'm 30 years old and just picked up Smash earlier this year. I mention this because my friend group doesn't play Smash so I don't have any way to practice for locals besides quickplay. I wanted to play Peach since the beginning but she was always so intimidating and overwhelming. Felt like I needed to play a lot lot more before I could go anywhere near her. So happy I found this channel. You made Peach super assessable to someone like me and your obvious love for the character has me hyped as heck. I mostly go around 2-2 at locals now. READY TO SEE WHAT I CAN DO WITH PEACH SOON. Thanks for this
@@spiritualak5147 When in doubt I back air or forward air and it's been doing a lot more than expected lol Character has a ton of room to go insane with but it didn't take too long for me to be able to keep up with in friendlies. Pleasantly surprised
Being a Paisy main for about a year and a half, I always feel deeply unsatisfied with my level when I see crazy combos or conversions on Twitter. This video is all I needed.
I'm an absolute beginner (only started playing about 3 months ago) and i picked up Peach like 2 months ago. was initially very disheartened by the amount of "don't pick Peach if you're a beginner" content I kept seeing around. luckily, Peach was just too fun and i was too stubborn to care. your videos are god sent, thank you so much for making Peach accessible to all levels!
Awesome video! I'm not a peach main but I like messing with all the characters and I never understood how her float stuff worked. Randomly decided to try her and discovered this video. I was super surprised at how quickly I could do this stuff pretty consistently in training mode! I might have to player her some more she seems fun. I love how this video was formatted, it was quick and to the point but still gave all the necessary info. Thanks for making it!
Thanks for making Peach’s tech seem more accessible and being encouraging in the video! I started with the JCFF video first which seemed intimidating to master all the JCFF variants but this video makes her tech seem easier to learn.
Thanks, I needed this video A friend of mine always tries to convince me that I'm very good with Peach and that my playstyle with her is unique but I don't think I am because I don't use those advanced techniques, now I see that they are not so necessary
I''m not a competitive smash player by any means, so a lot of the finer details of this video probably went completely over my head, but I main Peach when I play casually with my friends, and this video has me convinced that she's OP as hell and underrated. I get people laughing at me when I say I main Peach so it's cool to see that a decent portion of the competitive smash community appreciates her. If I can just basically button mash on her and do pretty well, imagine what someone who's dedicated hundreds of hours to smash can do with her!
I've been a Peach main since Brawl. Ground Float has always been part of my arsenal, but I feel like this is the level up she needs. And just in time for a "Royals" Online Tourney lol Thank you 🙏
I have been dancing around playing peach cause I didn’t know who I wanted to main other than bowser but I have realized it’s worth the effort to play her. Thanks for explaining the tech helps alot

I'm a noob at smash but I really want to main peach, after about 20 rounds of losing I watched this video. the head float trick was what I needed! it really confused the captain falcon and got my first online win :) thanks!
Yah I always felt like people are overdramatic about some of Peach's techniques, quirks and etc. It's not unlike things seen in not just fighting games but a lot of other games too. She has a ton of depth and things to practice yah, but that doesn't mean she'll kill your hands if you play her in a regular fashion (which can still work rather decent as he has pretty good tools). Plus even a lot of characters considered simpler to pick up and play have some difficult techniques to master that can be very beneficial to them too.
your video is very informative, but to play peach compellingly, it's all about the float mind games and learning how to float combo into aerial turnips. this is the part of peach that takes time, because she allows for punishes and approach styles that no other character could pull off besides, like, jigglypuff MAYBE but who is using jigglypuff lol. i think because we've all been playing and dealing with Peach's pretty standard kit we all just adapted and think "oh she hasn't changed much" but honestly i do think she's one of the most technical characters. and yeah to be "good" with her you don't need to do much beyond what you said, but to excell with peach, there's a lot of mental play you have to learn to utilize her floating to its full potential.
peach was the first character i ever picked up and i just tried making my own combos and never even realized how serious my friends were when they said peach was super tech and i shouldnt start w her
This game has been out for nearly 3 years and I’m just now learning how to actually peach float. I have misunderstood how that mechanic worked since brawl! None of my friends are going to be reading for how hard I am about to go with this knowledge
Ok this video is actually adorable thanks. You seem different from the rest of the smash community. Like I can tell you have a job and wear deodorant.🥰🥰🥰
When I was a kid I always “mained” daisy in Mario party. Recently I started casually playing smash with some friends irl. The first character I picked was obviously Daisy. The past couple months I’ve been playing her but only focusing on the smash attacks. I had no idea daisy could do all of this, I was going to switch characters because I thought she just wasn’t that good, but I have hope now!
Hate to break it to you but bad players shouldn't play peach... until they learn their fundamentals as a random main who spent the entire game learning every single character and their tech I can vouch that peach isnt as hard as you'd think.... but I still think worse players need to spend some time before picking her up
I love this video as Peach Main I only need to do fast fall float cancel faster anyways could you please do a video explaining how to grab over and over the turnips ? I can’t find anything about that, excellent video ✨💖
None of this proves that peach isn't one of the hardest characters in the game and you also proved that you need to spend a lot of time in practice mode to get these techs down and thats without the time needed to learn all of peach's other basic attributes. Compare that to an actually easy character like lucina or something .
To be fair, i've very rarely seen samsora jcff or shjcff and that's what I have trouble with. He does do them of course, but not in the majority of his matches that I've seen.
I can't do reverse float, I'm not accurate at head height float on anything shorter than Wario, and my fast fall from floats are too readable. But practice makes for great results. With more options, I can trick the enemy.
People who right those comments are the ones who.... a) waits until a great player tells them who is good or bad. and b) plays with "dead brain mashing powerful" characters only. So once they see a character that requires actual skills to play with, they call them *TRASH*.
How do you input aerials while floating? I'm trying to learn gf bairs but I can't do it consistently, am I right in trying to hold down X while also hitting the c-stick to bair? Or should I be using A+direction to do bair so that my right hand only needs to hit A and X simultaneously (which seems *much* easier than X and c-stick simultaneously)?
Whichever one you prefer. I find that using X+A to do back airs is beneficial, since you have to input the direction you want to go, making spacing much easier. For back airs, I tend to release jump ever so slightly before pressing back air so I land as soon as possible.
I won’t have an answer for you until the character has been out for quite some time. As a first step to beating a new character, you have to learn their gimmicks. Like how mythra’s up B has a hit of that can stage spike you, or how pyra’s fsmash kills super early. Look on ultimate frame data to get an idea for the startup on their moves, their hitboxes, and which moves have endlag you can punish.
I have played Daisy since October of last year. I had success, but sometimes, seeing crazy Twitter combos or crazy tech make me feel like I need to learn it, but as far as I play, I almost never really use it. JCFF and the other crazy stuff is a bit hard for me. I also agree with Peach and Daisy being a great character at any level.
