The GS3 was the dream machine for years but the E1 is the machine sitting on the bench. Even though I've had an E1 replaced under warranty days after it first arrived and at the time regretted ordering it, the E1 has been a joy to use since. More than happy now with choosing the E1.
I love the Look of the prima but i heard about so Many Problems over time like leaks at the Boiler, Electric issues Till a total Shut down. The La marzocco with the Prime Style would be the ultimate beast
I feel all machines have issues at first release, when we first started selling the GS3 many years ago they had issues too. In saying that we have only had one warranty issue on a Prima and we are one of the largest sellers of them in Australia. I currently have a Prima at home and its been solid, so feel issues have since been sorted. Do agree, LM is a beast!
Hey Pedro! Super great video. I watched it again just now. What’s your feedback on how reliable the E1P is? It is an beauty but I’m trigger shy to purchase due to some chatter online discussing its reliability. Any thoughts? Much appreciated!
I have read the chatter online, and it doesn't reflect our experience with it so far. On the first batch there were a few little things, yet many years ago when we first started selling the GS3 it also had issues. Somewhat common of first batches, the GS3 now is super stable, and I would say the E1P is heading that way too. My personal opinion is always choose the machine which makes you smile, as ultimately its about the way the machine/coffee makes you feel (as long as the distributors in your region for them are solid). If in Australia, we can look after you on either.
Love this video has a Breville Barista Pro owner who is ready to make the upgrade I’ve researched and gone back and forth between these two machines. It’s hard to find a lot of information and feedback on the E1 Prima given it’s so new. Love the E1 and really leaning that way just concerned about it’s reliability especially since there is not a retailer or a store nearby me (New York) that I can take it to if something goes wrong.
Thank you :) Realistically, both machines are commercial builds. You can walk down to any cafe in NY and ask them who they use for a technician, and then reach out to them and have them service either of these machines. From a warranty perspective, in Australia both LM and VA locally are factory owned and not distributors so warranty here is solid. And both have partnered/invested with nationwide service companies... Not sure the structure in NY, but would assume companies selling the E1 would have a solution in place? For customers buying from us (Australia only) we have these solutions in place..
Chris coffee carries and helps with support on these machines. I am not in NY and got one. However, most of your support is going to be from Simonelli directly and they have been great! I have owned the E1 for over a year and love it. Recently looking at the GS3 to try something else.
Can you modify the pre infusion for the gs3 to simulate pressure profiling? The eagle one only has a pre wet feature that isn’t true pre infusion. I love the MP version of the gs3 but I want the ease of the volumetrics so I was curious if I can adjust the pre infusion digitally similar to the mvp hydra to have capability of both pressure profiling and volumetrics. It just seems odd that La Marzocco wouldn’t create a machine that could do both and forces you to choose between pressure profiling or volumetrics.
You have to be mindful when asking a question to someone who sells a particular item or is a licensed distributor for that said item. There is a bias…for obvious reasons.
I was considering the E1P, but their reliability seems to be piss poor. If I'm spending 5500€, the machine better be bullet proof or pretty darn close to it.
LM GS3 has been around so long now that they do feel bullet-proof. In saying that we have not had many issues on the Prima's we have sold, feel all issues were from the first batch..
@@CoffeePartsTV I realize that's your experience and I'm not discounting it, but that's what the dutch fella was told, received a new one and then had to ask for the money back as the new one broke down as well. Again, for more than €5K, my new machine better be bullet-proof. If I don't find a machine like that and I'm not able to make the jump to a GS3 or something like it, I'll just go back to a dual boiler in the 3.5K region and not worry about much.
It's funny, we see so many machines and so many installs/houses. From a design perspective, which machine looks best does also depend on where it is going. The same machine in different environments looks completely different.
What plastic is on the Prima? The machine definitely has problems, but plastic is not one of them. I have owned mine for 1 year and it's dead. I opened it to see what happened and found two different leaks. I have contacted tech support and will let everyone and their sister and brother know how responsive they are. At over 6K US dollars, I am disappointed that the one-year mark has taken it down.
Noooooo :( sorry to hear. It's funny there have been few replies mentioning issues. We have sold many with extremely minimal issues (and these issues were all on early batches). In the last year we haven't really had issues.

Happy VA sorted it and that your loving the E1 ☺️☺️

Love your videos and this is another great one. Always had a GS3 AV but love the look and what the prima can do.
Glad you like them! Thank you :)

Hi. Nice review. What’s the pressure of the pre infusion for the E1P when using the tank? Thanks

E1 Prima any day, you eat with your eyes so why not have a pretty machine to make pretty coffee?
The Prima is beautifully finished :)
Victoria Arduino is the one for me at home. Fantastic machine.
Great compare!!! Seen some videos were the eagles group head freaks when you press on it. That true?
Not that I know of, I'll have a look and see if I can replicate it on our E1..

I think one of each is the best choice - 1 in the kitchen, the other in the den. YAY!
I think so too!
Handsdown, the Victoria Arduino Eagle one prima has got to be the most sexiest espresso machine period.
It does look good, and the details are nice!
Suited my place when I had it at home, the light was a nice touch :)

That was exactly my dilemma, I went with E1 but I still want to buy a gs3 mp someday due to the pedal and profiling options
For pressure profiling look at the Rocket R Nine One too. There is a video coming with the GS3MP vs R Nine One soon :)
Thank you for translating into Korean
when is the SanRemo You coming? love the SanRemo commercial machines
Soon 🤩 we will be doing a review with a special guest as soon as it lands in Australia. Late June at this stage! Excited for it
The design of the Prima doesn’t do it for me… it just not right and to temporary. And i don’t even start about those plastic flippers 🙈
It's funny, we see so many machines and so many installs/houses. From a design perspective, which machine looks best does also depend on where it is going. The same machine in different environments looks completely different.
Definitely subjective. Unless you customize the GS3, it doesn't really look attractive. Its the main reason I am so hesitant to swap out haha.

Thanks for pointing that out - They are there now :)
I OWNED AN EAGLE ONE & HAD TO RETURN IT! IT'S A PIECE OF GARBAGE!!! DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!!!!

@@CoffeePartsTV would you say the gs3 is more reliable and easy to get serviced if needed? 😊
