I just purchased the Pelagos 39 and its been on my wrist for a week. I could not be happier.
After owning the BB58 navy for the past few years, I was ready for a change. It became my travel/beater watch as it was the least expensive in the box. I waited to get my hands on a P39 before making the jump, but I was pretty set. Well...That shiny P39 bezel really turned me off! I couldn't believe it. I've began to re-appreciate the BB58 for its toolish yet classy look. Looks classy yet flies under the radar when out and about, but also capable of being the beater when on a sailcloth or nato. Great vid!
Way more versatile and if you're like me, you may enjoy how something like aluminum will age
There’s something very special about the blue 58, looks so modern yet so amazing in different light
I agree, it has so much character.
That blue 58 is stunning
I sold my Black Bay 79220N and my Sinn U50T and bought the Pelagos 39 - couldn't be happier. In fact, I'll probably sell my Black Bay 36 (mk. 1) too, even though I thought that was pretty much perfect as the Pelagos just can't sit in the watch box. I wasn't keen on the sunray finish before buying, but having seen it at the AD I realised the dial was done subtly and the bezel was gorgeous. It's taken a while to get used to the dial finish (not the bezel - that was great from the get go), but it actually works pretty well.
Looking forward to getting black bay 58 in blue my first luxury watch very soon.Enjoyed your review
Great choice for a first luxury timepiece!
I just love the versatility of my blue bb58. Having a Sinn U50 as a tool diver, makes the Pelagos superfluous for my collection. Best regards Oni
Great choice of tool watch! The Black Bay 58 is definitely more versatile than the Pelagos.
Great comparison! Personally, I feel like the Black Bay is more versatile. If it had a better clasp, I feel like it would be almost perfect.
I'd personally go with a tegimented Sinn or Damasko if i want a "tool" watch.
Can't go wrong with a Sinn. Great looks and purpose built timepieces.
Just picking up my pelagos today. I prefer a low key, less flashy look to my watches. I hope I made the right choice.
How did you end up liking the Pelagos?
@@rukkit8705 so far so good. I’m a little disappointed in the clasp. It doesn’t sit flush and tends to poke out where the divers extension is. I prefer wearing it on a nato. Otherwise it’s been flawless.
BB58 blue is simply the best option that Tudor has for offer. My second choice would be the BB GMT
In regards to the GMT, which configuration would you go for?
@@welcomewrist BB GMT S&G
any chance you can review the longines conquest 41 automatic 2023?? There aren't many videos covering it. Thanks in advance!
I'd love to do a review, however, I don't have access to one atm.
I would prefer the Pelagos in a stainless steel option. Not a fan of titanium.
I prefer the light weight feel of the Pelagos
Its nice, but I sometimes miss the heft of steel.
I hope for an Updated 58 in blue or at least new color for bb54 or pelagos39 at W&W
Otherwise I put the Trigger on this blue 58
Samesies
All the way with the Pelagos for me.
Its a great piece. What do you like most about the Pelagos?
Hey@@welcomewrist I've tried on both the 58 and Pelagos 39. I prefer the dial, bezel, indices, bracelet , and the overall look of the Pelagos. It is the perfect tool watch probably better than a current model Sub imo. The 58 would be more of a daily driver but not my first choice for my daily.
BB58 blue any day!
58. But with the tfit clasp
Maybe Tudor will update the 58 in the future
Hard to choose here. If it came down to it, I'd wear the Pelagos more.
Its lighter weight and all brushed finish does lend better for daily wear.
Buy both if you can ;)
comparing blue dial to black dial...yeah super useful...
My apologies. I did not have access to the black version at the time of the recording. I'm not an authorised dealer nor am I affiliated with any stores, therefore I have to acquire the watches myself, which can be a little difficult at times.
Anyone know if the Pelagos dial can be fitted into a BB. I assume so but suspect Rolex play their usual tricks to confound their customers.
BB58 every day and twice on Sundays
Can't go wrong with the Black Bay 58
Pelagos 39 for me. Personally not a fan of the black bay bracelet.
I can see where you're coming from, but I think it works with the Black Bay 58.
Pelagos is the evolution of the tudor submariner the black bay is a homage to it . A homage can never beat the real thing. I own pelagos LHD , sinn 756 and nomos orion. Tudor is overusing the black bay name on too many watches .
I'm interested in Pelagos LHD but hear it's not suitable for wrists under 7 inches (17.75cm). I have a 6.5 inch wrist. The Pelagos 39 doesn't really interest me. Thoughts on wrist size?
Pelagos 39 hands down, the people who say they prefer the black bay 58 just can't afford the pelagos 39
Lol, uh ok. That 15% price difference is insurmountable. Lol. They are very different and many people don’t just have one watch collections. Either May fit their interest.
People with black bays wish they had the money to afford a pelagos, I agree
