Windows XP vs Vista: UI Comparison!

Windows XP was one of the most successful versions of Windows, while Windows Vista although had a design revamp, was plagued with issues. Regardless, here's a video comparing the user interfaces of these two systems!

Windows XP is toy blue while Vista is glass green. I like how almost every version of windows is unique from each other.

Windows 10 lost all it's personality. Windows 11 has a nice theme. As close as we'll probably get to Aero

⁠@@gt8200-0 I’m glad they tried to make Windows 11 nicer and more cleaner with the Fluent UI, but nothing will outdo the Vista/7 Aero UI!!!

I remember the XP back in Elementary school. and at Kindergarten I saw Windows 2000 when we play some games if one of our pictures shows in the screen to know which is our turn. I forgot what it's called because it's been a long time. My dad brought a used PC which had a mouse which we could only move the cursor with a red ball it had and it was Windows XP and it had the log on screen that I remember in school. My dad throw it away and a few months we had Windows Vista. I did liked the design of the UI. but I never heard people talking about how bad it was before since I was still young and I didn't know about computers that much. I always used it to play online games that used to run in flash player.

@Maru Angelo Maglalang Santos sp2 was what Vista RTM had the potential to be. Unfortunately the XP era PCs didn't run Vista too smoothly on a Pentium 4 and 512mb of RAM.

Windows Vista was beyond beautiful, the design evolution was incredible. It had a somewhat dark atmosphere just as nostalgic as Windows XP. Such a shame it ended up being known as one of the worst things they ever did.

Yeah. But then again, Vista isn't really that good, apart from its amazing and ahead of its time design, it's really buggy. I've installed it once to remember it and I remember it literally broke by itself lol. At least it's a beautiful OS and it was a great Win7 beta.
I think we can all agree, Windows 8 is the worst. Nobody even wants to remember that one

no. vista is mistake. new areo glass on vista not fixed on rtm and sp1. so windows 7 wddm 1.1 fix the areo glass and other trash file

I’ve always preferred the Vistas GUI than XP’s just because the design, the GUI for XP to me looked pretty ugly, it looks like a Fisher Price design (funny because that GUI was nicknamed for that design), while Vista uses the more glassy and beautiful design that was inspired early from Mac OS X Public Beta (2000)

XP was all about nostalgia and simplicity. The reason Vista was so hated because it killed that nostalgia. It was also filled with bloatware which was tedious to remove.

XP was basically the 9X classic look in 3D with colors, while Vista was so refreshing and new.

Windows xp is better on all aspects
Windows Vista is pretty much Cool. But some instabilities occur.
Windows xp :
Sounds : Very Perfect
UI : Colorful
Security : Not good
Stability : Perfect
Compatibility : Good
Windows Vista :
Sounds : Uhhh so quiet and Not so good
UI : Cool
Security : High
Stability : A bit unstable
Compatibility : A little bit broken

Vista isn't unstable if you use the SP2 version and in terms of compatibility, you can use the extended kernel to run modern programs, so you can make Vista usable even for today's standards.
