Yes it does. Also why I love 7 cause they took everything good about Vista and made it better and by then the world had adopted vista cause if you think about vista/7 are almost 1 in the same
I've used XP and vista, my nostalgia and experience and recent look back tells me that they are both Great operating systems I felt Vista was an upgrade, and a well made one, I wouldn't ask to go back, I Even had 2 PCs run Vista fine for well over a decade I wouldn't ask for anything better!
yeah I used classic style in XP well after everyone was on Win 7. XP Is great. I think I used XP until about 2011. Now I use Win 7 with Classic Style. Yup, I'm still on Win 7 and it looks like Win 95 LOL I bet I'll make Win 10 look Classic when I upgrade HAHA

I like how different XP was from vista at the time. Windows 8 was pretty similar to windows 7, but with the unintuitive start metro menu and windows 8.1 compared to 10 is almost identical but it 10 has an appropiate start menu again
Both are excellent OSes, both are from my childhood but I have to say that Vista is my favorite of all time but XP is still being an important part of my childhood
I think people were all upgrading to LCD widescreen displays at the time of Vista, whereas CRTs were popular during the XP days. That may be why the icons are bigger, and higher resolution, too.
Before Windows Vista, Microsoft was working on Windows "Longhorn" but it got dropped and they rushed to get Vista out in 2006. As a result, Vista was buggy and hardware didn't work on it. Vista also introduced Tablet Tools. Sticky Notes didn't come with Vista - it was part of gadgets. Vista has more modern interface than XP. Since Microsoft is dropping support next year, some software developers are already dropping support for Vista
The biggest thing imo that Vista added (which seems to have been disliked at the time) was for a kind of protection against a stalled program stalling the whole computer. You have no idea how many times I had to restart my computer because of Spore. With Vista, if a program stalled or had a big error, the program would like be paused and it didn't seem to affect the operating system too much. So stalling apps were less of a threat. The problem was that this was a rather new technology and it was way too sensitive. So it paused apps more often than necessary
That is why Vista was received so poorly. The hardware we had back then just couldn't handle Vista. People were blaming the OS when in fact it was the hardware they were using, yes the OS was probably not as optimized as i could have been since it was rushed but the hardware was still not enough in my opinion. Even manufactures like HP and Toshiba were shipping laptops that just didn't have the specs needed to run Vista. Microsoft should have upped the system requirements but obviously we were in a time where the hardware was just not where i needed to be. In my opinion Vista was way ahead of its time
It was year 08 and I remember buying a pc with vista on it. I believe it as a HP Pavilion. I’m pretty sure we got it for cheap, no crazy price. And everything ran smoothly.
Ignore that one Mac fanboy in the comments. He seems to just be a troll. Anyways, I have a lot of nostalgia for Windows XP's Luna theme, even if it is ugly af.
I hated XP for its looks, do not miss it actually. I thought that Luna ui was butt ugly. Win 7 and 8.1 are the best looking OS by Microsoft. 10 looks pretty good, but a little bland. Even though Windows 11 isn’t out yet, it looks ugly, just ugly.
Also, this video is very old, as Bingocat said 2009 was 7 years ago. This proves this video was made in like 2016. March 2009 right now was 10 years ago.
Windows Vista can barely run with 256MB of RAM. Every kind of sound is distorted with it. Similar to Windows 7, just one program and your system is going to tell you that you are low on memory. This is very similar to Windows 7, because Windows 7 can also barely run at 256MB. If you want an optimal kind of Vista, use 1GB.
I love both XP & Vista. I also love Windows 98 & 7. On the subject of themes, I love Windows XP's "Luna" theme alot better than Vista or 7's "Aero" theme. I have a desktop XP, desktop 7, & my current Windows 10 laptop. My family's first laptop was a Vista. It was broke a few years ago. I have a Windows 8, but it has a split wire in the charge port.
Windows XP and Vista where my childhood operating systems. My mother used an Atom Netbook running XP, and my father used an HP Pavilion Dv5 running Vista.

er... my Windows 7 (now 10) PC has a 2.16 GHz Dual Core Intel Pentium processor and it ran Aero just fine. I have an old laptop that I upgraded from Windows XP to 7 that has a Dual-Core Intel Core Duo with I think a CPU around 2 GHz that runs Aero just fine
