Thank you for this detailed review,I've been looking for a good review to finally convince my self and you just did it,I just placed my order,I can't wait to get it,I am so tired of my Keurig, the pods can be very pricey and inconvenient for a coffee lover, this machine looks beautiful Thanks again 😌🙏
I just bought this thing for $70 bucks at Sams on clearance..I agree with Debonair, there are hardly any reviews on this thing. FINALLY, I found yours! Thanks for the in depth review and now I can replace my old Mister Coffee machine in the kitchen.
@@michaelerbreviews I thought it was too! I have a ton of Keurigs but pods are expensive! I figure I can go back to my old Folgers coffee and use the 1 cup feature to brew. When I saw this in Sams, it peaked my interest. Do you still have the coffee maker and is it still your favorite brewer?
Daniel Peters Yes I still have it and use it every day. The single cup feature is fantastic. So much better than Keurig and none of the environmental issues with used K cups. Plus it’s just better coffee. The cost savings of not having to buy k-cups will pay for the machine quickly.
Based on the BB&B reviews I was on the fence, but you've convinced me! Added to the wedding registry and it's one of the top five items I'm most excited to use now.
Everybody has got an opinion I guess. I love the coffeemaker. I particularly like the single cup brewing option. And we use the milk frothing feature a lot.
My original (1st edition) Ninja Coffee Bar finally went on the fritz (can't set clock anymore, delay brew doesn't work, clean cycle no longer works) So the wife and I ordered this last night from Ninja web site (got a coupon code too!) Very much looking forward to receiving this one!! Wanted this when it 1st came out!! I'm a total coffee snob (grind my own specialty beans) my wife loves tea and coffee so this will be great!! Thanks for the great review of how it does!
Yup. If you press and hold the keep warm button it will let you can change the length of time and the temperature of the plate from hi to lo by pushing the H or M buttons next to clock.
Thank you so much for sharing your review! I really like the level of detail you went into. It would be great to hear some of the item's cons, even if they're minimal.
There's not anything significant that I don't like. I do think that it's a bit confusing at first to figure out how to use the controls, but after you use it a few times it's second nature.
Great review! Thank you for posting! We are getting ready to replace our Coffee Ninja....its almost two years old and the brew size selector knob broke off. I can use pliers to select the size, but that method is going to fail soon as well. I have always been happy with the older model....I have some more looking around to do, but this unit is definitely on the short list!
This looks amazing, as I'm a tea drinker and hubby loves his coffee. I'm just wondering, is there a way to make sure the tea steeps for 10 minutes? Not sure this would work so great for my YerbaMate, which should steep for about that long. It's my equivalent to coffee, so it's super important to me. Thanks for the thorough review.
I don't use this for tea very often. Here is a link to the user guide www.ninjakitchen.com/include/pdf/manual-CP301.pdf The selector offers four tea types: Herbal, Black, Oolong, White, or Green tea.
I loved my Ninja coffee maker which was a previous model. But then the CLEAN light started coming on all the time. I make a couple of cups a day, yet the clean light came on every few weeks without fail. Ugh. I've had lots of coffee makers in my life, but never one that would hold my coffee hostage if I didn't clean it frequently. Search Ninja coffee clean and check out all the complaints. I'd be interested to know if that happens with this particular model too.
I've never had the clean light come on in the time I've owned this. But I do run 3 to 1 water to diluted white vinegar every few months regardless of the clean light.
Fred Lentz You can adjust the warning plate temperature but not the brew temperature. That's automatic. You might need to calibrate your unit. m.ninjakitchen.com/include/pdf/manual-cp301.pdf
how would you rate the taste of a cold brew made by this machine? it's pretty much the only reason i'm interested in purchasing it along with the occasional hot cup of coffee. thank you for the video!
I don't make cold brew using this machine. In my opinion this is not the best choice if you want cold brew since a good cold brew takes many hours rather than minutes.
Tom Hoskins You can adjust the warning plate temperature but not the brew temperature. That's automatic. I’ve not measured the actual brew temp, but it’s hot. m.ninjakitchen.com/include/pdf/manual-cp301.pdf
Thanks for the informative video! Question: does the machine require course grounds or can I just use regular ground coffee? Also, any coffee brand recommendations??
Generally speaking a medium grind is good for drip coffee. As for coffee brand, wow, that's totally up to personal taste. Personally, I enjoy Starbucks Guatemala and Pike Place. I buy whole beans and grind them at home in a burr grinder. I'll also go to local coffee roasters and buy their beans. Fresh beans or freshly ground coffee will give you the best possible cup of coffee.
Thank you for sharing. I purchased this unit and will get it by tomorrow. About the tea, does it brew loose tea or tea bags? I like the ideal of cold brew, I feel it's a smoother cup of coffee.
Do you have anyway to test the temperature of the water as it hits the grounds. Older Ninja's have tested out above the 205F mark which causes coffee to be bitter. Should be between 195 and 205
I inserted the thermocouple for my multimeter up through the drip hole and the reading was between 203-205 brewing temperature. No coffee was in the basket to allow just the heated water to come out.
I’ve got this unit and just tried to brew a full pot of cold brew and only ended up with about half. Is that what’s supposed to happen? Does it assume you’re brewing it over ice?
The warming plate only turns on during a half or full carafe brew cycle. The temperature can be set to Hi or Lo and the time it remains on after the pot has been brewed is 2 hours by default but can be set to up to 4 hours if desired. But you can't just turn the warming plate on to heat up a pot of cold coffee because it only turns on after a brewing cycle has completed.
Melissa Garcia In my opinion, for my use, I believe it is totally worth it. I’d have to give it a 10. My favorite feature is the ability to make a single cup of coffee instead of having to use my Keurig or some other means.
Melissa Garcia Sadly there are many people making reviews who have no idea what they are doing. The wrong grind can result in weak coffee. Not using enough ground coffee can result in weak coffee. Bad coffee can make weak coffee. Stale beans can make weak coffee. Etc
sam Arra this is a drip coffee maker with a milk Frother attachment. It does not make espresso which is what you’d typically use to make espresso based drink such as cappuccinos. You could make coffee then froth some milk and pour that in the coffee but it wouldn’t be a true cappuccino. Maybe that’s all you need?
You could go to Ninja website and get the userguide for your unit I suppose. I'm not familiar with it. As well as contacting company to send me new coffee filter and coffee basket. As anyone else had this problem? (Too add more information on the grounds in my cup... well I can literally pour my cup of coffee into a paper filter and catch tons of grounds)

Thanks for the fast response. I rather not have to buy paper filters and would love to use just the permanent coffee filter it came with. I just wanted to see if anyone else had problems like mine. I may just return machine. Thank you so much again.
Yes, I totally love it! I can make tea and its wonderful. I have used a more coarse grind. My unit may be defective and I will be replacing whole unit soon. Thank you.
There are no hard and fast rules, only guidelines since it can depend on many factors and personal preference. For me, I usually use a medium grind and for a full pot I use provided large scoop and put in 5 slightly overflowing scoops.

Where does the steam from brewing vent from? I bought the Ninja coffee bar and it vents out the top which soaks my cabinet that it sits under.
Vents out the top. Steam rises. They pretty much all vent that way. I pull mine out when in use, push it back under when it's done brewing.
I had the same doubt. None of the tutorials seemed to show that part (don’t know why). Thanks for asking.

How does it work for hot coco
That's already been discusses. You "brew" hot water then add the cocoa. It won't make hot chocolate per se.
