I've been done with Keurig machines for a couple of years now. I hate having to use the Keurig pods - not only are they expensive, but they create so much waste. I've had this new Ninja for a while now . I can't say enough good things about it. Yes, the initial outlay is on the high side, but the smell, taste, and flavor of the coffee and tea it produces are without equal. You will love it!
Thank you for the comprehensive review of this product. I purchased this system a few months ago and had a question. The manual didn’t address my question, but luckily your review did! 🥰
Hello again, lovely up-loader! I have a Keurig and a Hamilton Beach coffee maker, both for a few years now. I have not once done anything regarding de-scaling. Here is why. I found what I believe is THE BEST water filtration for home use. All you need do is search for 'Zero Water' and you will find it. All of their devices come with a test 'wand' for determining how many "Parts-Per-Million" of CONTAMINANTS (calcium, slate, other nasty stuff, etc.) is in your water. For MY region of the US, it is well over 200 PPM right out of the tap. You use the filter until the test wand reads (THEY SAY) 006. Well, I use a TWO filter system. I have the large canister tank, and the pitcher. The tap water goes into the canister, and from the canister into the pitcher, which is what fills my coffee devices. When the canister shows around 010 (my decision, not Zero Water), I take the pitcher filter out and replace the canister tank with it, then place a new filter in the pitcher. The filters last at least twice as long this way, saving you money. I only mention this for y'alls edification because I want you to purchase what this wonderful woman tells you is a GOOD BUY, and then do your best to keep the device going. I have tried the 'Brita'. I have tried the 'Pure'. And I have tried several others. My 'Zero Water' is the ONLY under $100 filter system I trust_ and it WORKS. NO MORE BOTTLED WATER FOR ME! FYI, the indicator, on MOST devices to brew coffee, USUALLY just only tells you when a certain amount of TIME has gone by, and in the devices opinion, THAT is when you should descale. The device usually has no way of determining how much, if ANY, scale has built-up in your device. I doubt the one being demonstrated here can either_ only guessing. If any of y'all KNOW of any coffee maker that actually measures the AMOUNT of scale build-up, please share. I have called many providers of different types of coffee makers, speaking usually with reps doing the selling, and they don't KNOW for sure. Only reason for mentioning this is it can be a pain to do the de-scaling and the indicator light, IMHO, is most likely set to light-up at the EARLIEST safest time-frame, erring on the short-end to be safe. Which, of course, is GREAT if you live in an area with a very high concentration of lime & such, but REALLY bad if you live in the LOWEST PPM ares of the world. Take care, lovely provider. I tell EVERYONE about your channel - honest!

RUclips reviewers need to learn from this review. All good information that you want to hear. None of the oh this is how it makes me “excited” or I’m “hyped”.
I'm moving from using my friend's Keurig over to the Ninja CM407. I like its SKA certification because it suggests some time and thought went into the design of this coffee maker. $1800-$2000 isn't all that much money for certification but it's the principal behind asking an established and respected third party for their opinion. That is one reason why this unit was loud and then quiet and why you may see some leftover water in the main removable tank. It doesn't simply suck all the water and pour it over the grounds. It will first soak the ground and let them bloom a little releasing a more complex cup of coffee by the end of the cycle. There is a lot going on behind the scenes with this Ninja. I like how it knows when there is not enough water being provided to the grounds and I like it even better that it has a way of communicating that to me. At the same time if I don't fill the reservoir with enough water it will also tell me(WTR) which means it(the boiler) needs more water to complete its cycle. I am excited to receive such a coffee maker and I thank you bestkitchenreviews for your review/tutorial. Now when it arrives I will be ready for it. I mean I have already downloaded and read the manual but real-life is so much better.
I would like to know your opinion on the CFP301. Requirements: Tea is not mandatory, frothing is mandatory, grounds coffee is mandatory, ice brew is mandatory, pods are not mandatory but wouldn't hurt, Carafe is fine but don't have to have one, various size mugs/travel mugs would be a plus, auto drip-stop is mandatory, longevity would be a plus, ease of cleaning would be a plus, soak-n-bloom-n-then-brew (which you told me about , that would be grrrrrreat).
I was looking for a review of just this product, but I went ahead and subscribed to your channel. This is a fantastic review. You are very thorough and answered all the questions I had.
Just received this unit as a Christmas present from my son! It’s beautiful and we love how it makes coffee and tea. I can’t wait to use it to make specialty drinks. Thanks so much for the review!
Suggestion to Ninja if they are listening: since there are already two filters, a third filter with filter screen material only at the bottom inch would be better for smaller cups of coffee. Using the large cone for small cups of coffee results in weaker coffee as some of the water goes out the higher part of the filter instead of down through the grounds. This is why K cups are successful. The water doesn’t have anywhere else to go but down through the grounds.
Very nice review and detailed with a lot of info on most of the features this nice coffee/tea maker has to offer. Really no wasted words and over dramatization as seen in some other presentations. Thankyou. I would’ve loved to see how the cold brew feature works as that is a major difference like tea options between the Ninja Cafe’ Bar. My daughter has this and feels the Cold Brew setting isn’t any different than what her cafe bar can already do. I don’t know and I’d like to know there’s a difference between them due to the sig price difference. Yes this unit also does tea as well, but I’m not into teas much at all. Great review but missed what I really needed to see.
Thanks for your review. I'm glad you checked the temperature bcs thats important for extraction. I read that the temperature need to be between 195° and 205°F. per the NCA. Some ppl say their temps reach 200°F.

Toby Cat So many RUclips reviews seem to be for the ego requirements of the presenter. This was exactly the opposite. She packs a ton of info into this video to help you make an informed purchase. I really appreciated it.
Great video, especially for beginners. Some nice tips - I didn't realize that you didn't need to use the little tea filter inside the holder if brewing tea using tea bags. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VIDEO
i got the glass carafe. it you can turn off the warming plate with the glass carafe. i mostly make over ice or cold brew. it's a great machine. i've started buying beans and grinding my own as ground leaves sediment because it's too finely ground.
Just bought this on Saturday and noticed a high-pitched sound when it was brewing and I called Ninja support and of course, they couldn't answer if it was normal or not. Couldn't find it anywhere but listening to your video at 5:50, I can hear the same high-pitched sound so I'm assuming it's normal. Don't want to go through the hassle of returning a product if this is how it normally sounds.
Great review! Covered so many options! I bought one and the only complaint I might add is the stainless carafe doesn’t keep the coffee hot very long. Which is why I wanted a stainless carafe.
I’m actually using the old stainless carafe that came with a ninja coffee maker 7 or 8 years ago. Been through 2 machines in that time and finally bought this cp 301 after our 2nd ninja was on its last legs. Brews at least 3 pots a day in my house so they’ve been very reliable. This new one (CP 301) came with a glass pot but the old narrow topped stainless one works great and it stays warm for hours. Only thing I’m skeptical about this new one is the electronic drip stop. The old ones had a manual lever on the basket that moved an internal magnet to switch it off. That was the only failure point on my 2 older machines but I was able to repair. This one is more complicated so I hope it lasts. Like I said: at least 3 pots/day 365 days a year in this house. Good luck with yours!
Fantastic thorough review and demo, my original is slowly dyeing. (can't set clock or delay brew) so that is going in the RV, time to get a new one!!! This will be our new one soon. Thank you!
Same. I personally think keurig is not that great. Too watered down. I also bought myself this machine getting it tomorrow as an early bday present to myself.

@@mariamrafford7395 i have the k cafe and even tho I love I admit the ninja caught my eye. I wanted this machine before buying my keurig. The only thing I don’t like that much about this one is the shot option, I like the shot from k cafe and this one has a large concentrated 4 oz. vs my shot from my k cafe, imma just have both omg
Question, if I have more than a half carafe of water in the reservoir but I select half carafe, will it stop at half carafe or does it brew all the water in the reservoir every time. Thank you
New subscriber here. This is a great review! I especially like that you didn't over state how the coffee and tea is. You said it makes a pretty good cup, which is exactly what I should expect from such a coffee and tea maker. As for me, I would have purchased this exact model, but being we are not tea drinkers in the house, and prefer at times to use K-Cups, I opted for Ninja CFP 301 instead.
So I just got this coffee maker and I was wondering how does the warming plate work I made a full pot but it doesn't get warm just curious I might got a defective one
I’ve had this system for about a month and have enjoyed using both the coffee and tea features. Since your review was over 2 years ago, I was wondering what you think of it at this point? One complaint I have seen is that it conks out after a number of months of use.
Burp it. I just picked up one for $20 at good will and it didn’t work when I plugged it in and burping it was the only thing I needs to do to save $180.
Glad you liked the review! You have to run 2 cycles of filtered water (filled to the max line of the tank) through the machine before making your first cup of coffee 😁
Have you tried using a finer grind of coffee and a paper filter? You can also change how long the drip stop is open for as discussed in the instruction guide. For finer grind coffee you can program the drip stop (button with a slash through the drip) to stay open for default, additional 15, 30, 45 and 60 seconds or off completely (page 13 on right side of manual). With the drip stop open longer it allows more coffee to exit the filter before the drip stop is engaged. Once engaged no more water/coffee will be allowed out of the filter. You might want to try this along with using the Rich, instead of Classic cycle for a possibly stronger cup of coffee without adding additional coffee to the filter.
Great job on demo anyway you can shoot a small video on how to use the ice cold feature again GREAT JOB on you presentation I wish all others would follow you demo thanks
Any reason for using the permanent filter or a paper filter but not both? I used both for the last 3 years with my Ninja Coffee Bar, always thought you needed to use the permanent filter regardless.
I am new to making my own coffee. I used to buy chameleon coffee concentrate. It's strong and delicious, Id love to make something similar! but can you teach me the difference between the cold brew vs over ice on this machine? I just bought this maker and I Love it so far! but I need help! lol
@@bestkitchenreviews Got mine today. I've had the previous model for the past 3 years. So far after a few cups, I like that the old one would let all of the water drip out of the basket because the dripstop was manual. I thought the new one was fancy with the electronic dripstop, but it disengages itself with water still in the basket which both puts less in your cup and make clean up a little worse for just dumping the grinds and filter in the trash. And it does spill water on my counter when I open the basket and remove it. The old one never did. We'll see how Day #2 goes tomorrow morning with my delayed brew set for 5:45.
I just bought one at Bed bath and beyond. mine has an Error 09 message and won't brew anything. the water does not come out into the mug from the brewer. So annoying. and the book says if you get an error message, call customer service, I did, but they are of course closed at 9pm. Am I the only one who bought a faulty machine?
This thing looks amazing! I'm moving away from k-cups for environmental reasons. How is the cold brew feature, compared to traditional cold brew methods (I currently use a mason jar with filter bag in the fridge overnight)?
So far, so good. I received the machine yesterday and I've made two half carafes, tea and frothed milk. I can now put away my kettle and get rid of my french press, stove top espresso maker, battery frother, tea pots, loose tea holders and get rid of the pod machine and drip coffee maker. I'm in love.

I like its SKA certification because it suggests some time and thought went into the design of this coffee maker. $1800-$2000 isn't all that much money for certification but it's the principal behind asking an established and respected third party for their opinion.
If you make coffee and tea, do the flavors mix? Does the tea has residual coffee flavor? Even with the filter change?
Happy new year my lovely Anita. That looks so superb. I wish I had the room for it.
Happy New Year, Carol 🎉🎊😀
You stated do not use fine ground coffee however I brew espresso daily. What will happen if espresso (fine grounds) is used?
Wow, excellent demo. You rock! I'd buy this just from your demo.
Thanks 😁
Just a little confused on something. Is specialty just another name for espresso, hence the small portion size of 4oz?
Thanks for the great review. Have you tried the cold brew yet?
Very good review!!
Thanks 😁
Did u say you can put full Coffe beans inside is yes, what option do you press to make the cup of coffee?
The specialty coffee didn't look like 4 OZ to me. It looked like way more. Right?
Very nice review! Great job!
I’ve had this system for about a month and have enjoyed using both the coffee and tea features. Since your review was over 2 years ago, I was wondering what you think of it at this point? One complaint I have seen is that it conks out after a number of months of use.
We've had ours for about 2 years and no problems
Burp it. I just picked up one for $20 at good will and it didn’t work when I plugged it in and burping it was the only thing I needs to do to save $180.
The glass coffee mug is fire! Can you link to where they can be obtained?
Hi, here it is: amzn.to/3an84GD :)
You sound like Bebe Newarth. Thank you for this demo. Very informative. I'm going to buy one because of you. Have a great day
Thanks 😀👍
Thank you for the review. I just ordered mine!! :)
Great 😀👍
Best review ever!!! Thank You!!
How do I ger the coffee to stay warm. The stay warm feature. Is there one?
Thank you for this amazing review! Do I need to filter the water twice if my machine is new before brewing coffee for the first time?
Glad you liked the review! You have to run 2 cycles of filtered water (filled to the max line of the tank) through the machine before making your first cup of coffee 😁
Добрий день Купив хорошу річ,але не можу запустити на кофе постійно вибиває клінінг Дякую якщо відпишете.
GOOD VIDEO but does anybody knows the brewing temperature ( i care about flavor ) thank you
between this and the K-Cafe which would you better recommend? i only really drink about 2-3 cups of coffee myslf
Is this “frother” a milk steamer and if not how does heat the milk?
You have to heat the milk in the microwave
Does this Stainless steal carafe keep the coffee hot?
Hello quick question why is my cup of coffee water down a lot? I did the 3 scoops recommendation for one cup 😩
You might want to try this along with using the Rich, instead of Classic cycle for a possibly stronger cup of coffee without adding additional coffee to the filter.
such a great review! Thank you!!
😁
ah, so this is the one that is way above the CFP301, correct?
Great video 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Greatly appreciated.
Glad you liked it 😁
Thank you for your review. I just got mine today, now I'll know how to use it. Thanks 😊
👍😀
does the machine empty the reservoir completely every time you brew, or does it pull the right amount of water?
would you prefer this or the Keurig K-Cafe?
Thanks for the review on both!
Can I use my own green tea such as matcha vital proteins ?
Question about the water reservoir. I’m wondering if it brews all of what’s in the water reservoir or dispenses only what’s needed per program. Thanks
I just got mine and tried it out once. It dispenses the amount needed depending on which cup size you choose.
Lifesaver great job!
Very thorough. Thank you!
I just bought this maker and I Love it so far! but I need help! lol
Amazing demo!!
👍😀
How long does the coffee stay hot? I need it to stay hot for 4 hours. Thanks
It'll keep coffee or tea hot for up to 2 hours 😀
You said it makes a decent cup of coffee. So basically this is only worth it if you want the bells and whistles?
Yes 😁
Great review!
Thanks 😀
Thanks!
Any issues now with mold?
Your awesome. Great review
👍😁
