    Note that the basket cannot overflow because of the "emergency" drain holes on the left and right of it, which channels the 'overflowing' coffee down and around the the inside of the basket, right into the carafe instead of on your counter. It can do this because of one of the excellent design qualities of the carafe, the high metal rim extending up 360° around the top of the carafe, which also, due to its small diameter, pours the coffee in a nice and accurate stream right into your cup or thermos. This 'not spilling all over your counter technology' is one of the many great features they have brought to their latest coffee machines from their earlier models like the CF085 series from around 2015. The carafe is excellent in many ways. It is of course a vacuum carafe. The tube going down to the bottom is to mix the coffee but also keeps the steam from pouring out of the center of the lid, keeping the coffee hotter. The pouring area is subdued also keeping the coffee hotter. The inside of the carafe tapers up to the opening evenly without a ledge, meaning that you can pour every last drop out of the carafe. The carafe being large on the bottom and tapering small to the top means that you cannot fit your hand in there for cleaning, but it has so many more benefits in keeping the coffee warm etc, that it is worth the trade-off. Just buy a sponge brush as stated in the manual. The drip stop is automated in this one, but is manual in the older version from 2015 that I have.. both serving the same purpose. Both models Bloom the coffee, but that blooming can be extended to exactly how many seconds you want by way of the drip stop. When it goes to bloom mode, just engage the drip-stop, releasing it when you want it to start brewing again. But its automated setting brews an excellent cup of coffee without manipulating it. Hands down these Ninja coffee makers are the best and most diverse coffee makers ever made. They will cost you a small premium, but they are worth every dollar paid.

    Nice video. Due to your review just picked up a KitchenAid Burr Coffee Grinder - KCG8433. Now I need a new coffee maker. In your opinion what’s the best coffee maker you used yet? Looking for a coffee maker that makes coffee HOT. I can’t stand warm coffee.

    I love the dual coffee and tea features of the Ninja CP307. However, I noticed that this model is no longer being sold on the Ninja Kitchen store. But I can still buy it on Amazon. Is this model being discontinued? Is a new replacement model coming out? I’m hoping someone will know what’s going on.

    Only thing I personally dislike about SS carafe.. not being able to see how much is left. lol For every other reason they are amazing & much better imho.

    • @0808Sista
      @0808Sista Год назад

      The glass carafe version of this has very thin glass and easily breaks. I replaced it with the SS carafe. Otherwise a solid coffee brewer with many options. The only improvement would be a pod brewing addition.

    • @andrewd7860
      @andrewd7860 Год назад

      @@0808Sista I agree with the top part. But the pods make a horrible cup of coffee and just a waste. They are the reason I go with ninja.
      No reason for a pod since you can put your own fresh coffee for a single brew.

    I purchased one per your recommendation. I like it but one issue. Twice I have noticed that even though it said end and stopped brewing coffee I noticed water left in the reservoir. Once on full carafe setting and once on half carafe. I am not pressing the brew stop button at any time. Just fill coffee maker with coffee, water, select full or half and press start. Am I missing something or is it a defective machine?

    • @cornffused
      @cornffused Год назад

      they purposely made it to hold more water in the reservoir than would be used. If by chance you use all the water, it beeps at you, asks to add water. If you take too long, it just finishes the brew cycle. My wife does see that sometimes the coffee pod keeps a few drips of coffee after it closes the pod. If she NEEDS the full cup, she just presses up on the spring loaded bottom of the pod to empty it.

      I bought this same machine 2 months ago. It was perfect for a month…….now it rarely brew the entire cup or carafe. There is ALWAYS water left in the reservoir. We made a full carafe last night and it was a disaster!! So disappointing. I will be calling the company.

    • @dianasandstrom5562
      @dianasandstrom5562 8 месяцев назад

      I don’t mean the large reservoir on the right…. I am referring to the area where the coffee grounds are. So I used incorrect terminology. I bought this because 3 of our friends have it and their coffee is always so good every time.

    • @upszilla
      @upszilla 3 месяца назад

      I have noticed that Just a Dad rarely answers any questions. My machine leaves 2oz of water in the reservoir for half carafe and 4oz for full carafe setting. I returned the first one because I thought it was defective but the replacement does the same. Coffee maker makes great coffee, just don’t see the benefit leaving water in the reservoir. I have it on classic settings.

    So just so I understand you don't have to buy filters for it, it comes with its own 🤔? Is it easy to clean and easy to use? I'm mostly a tea drinker myself, but my gf is big into coffee so I thought of getting this to satisfy both of us and I'm also wanting to dabble into coffee even though I've only found a handful I like 🙂

    • @JustADad
      @JustADad  Год назад +3

      yeah its called a reusable filter for coffee and tea, you have to clean it after you are done but then you can use it again. paper filters you have to throw away each time. with reusable filter you do get a little sediment at the bottom of your coffee that you will not get with paper, the good thing about this coffee maker is that you can use a paper filter #4 cone if you want.

      @JustADad I have a question! Is the coffee suppose to have a watery taste on its own when drinking it black or am I just not adding in enough coffee 🤔? I've tried both classic and black, used the right amount of scoops and I get abit of a watery taste. Maybe I just have super sensitive taste buds bc once I put in creamer thay watery taste goes away and you just taste the coffee flavor with the creamer

    Good except that it auto recognizes coffee or tea. When that doesn’t work you are screwed since you can’t just manually pick. Very annoying. In my case it is failing to recognize coffee and it’s stuck blinking tea / coffee. They should have make a selector to override. Nothing like over complicating a cup of coffee.
