    Actual comparison:
Elmax on TRC, lam.cos on A1, elmax will keep edge longer but elmax is known to be somewhat chippy (although trc heat treat is superb so less so with their blades), lam.cos less edge retention but will more likely roll rather than chip and is easier to field maintain, both have good corrosion resist.
A1 thermorun handle with hidden full tang better in colder weather as less exposed metal to hand, micarta (matte) on apoc will be grippier when wet, though thermorun is pretty good there too.
V-edge on the apoc, convex on the A1, A1 winner for bushcraft imho on the grind, it will do better with wood processing.
The original fallkniven zytel sheaths are ok but they rattle and get looser over time, the kydex formed ones from TRC are way better. Later sheaths that have come with the Fallkniven X series are better, they have a lock on them to stop the rattle. Fallkniven do some nice leather sheaths too.
Both Falkniven and TRC are superb at fit and finish, with the TRC maybe just edging ahead with some nice touches like the rounded spine and the choil.
Both excellent, if I had to rely on one to actually use as survival I'd get the A1 myself but if it's an overall camp knife then the nicer fit and finish of the TRC might make me go for it although it is quite a jump in $ and I'm not a huge fan of elmax myself.
