I used my trc apocalypse about a minute after I opened it. I batoned some super hard seasoned oak with it for firewood and not so much as a scratch! I may have paid $450 for it but it’s gonna get used and used hard! I also have a 3 Dog Knives Amuk out of Anchorage Alaska that I paid $450 for in Elmax and it gets used as well. Love the vid. I picked one up a while back and love it. Its a big knife thats not so big it becomes a pain to use. I had concerns while ordering it that it may become another wall princess like my Puma Waidblatt set which was easily double the price back in the 90's when I got it and the second I held the Puma I knew it would never be used(it bothers me to this day). The TRC Apo almost demands you to use it. Great knife.
It's so nice and so much money I wouldn't use it. I know it can do the "survival" stuff easy but the fit and finish is so nice I'd probably never use it. I do have a gso 5.1 from Survive! and it is on par so I'm happy.
I have a Tops b.o.b. and a Tops mini B.o.b. and thats all I really use, they do everything and they are super tough. So my logic is why ruin your really good stuff? I wish my youtube budget allowed me to hammer on ferrari knives, but im way way far away from that. I think you get 5$ a month once you get to 1000 subs and 3000 hours watched.

For me personaly the best of the best become TRC South Pole Apo finish. Apocalypse is too much weight. But its a great overall knife of course!
