The Peaky Blinders are a criminal organization, which passed through the city of Birmingham, England, in 1919, formed several months after the end of the First World War (1914-1918). The story centers on the ambition of the English gang leader, Thomas "Tommy" Shelby (Cillian Murphy).

The acting of every single one of the crew is fucking amazing. I almost started sympatizing with the actors of the "bad guys" because of how well they play their character
Me too, and then the season 3 finale happened... That conversation that Tommy has with Alfie when his son gets kidnapped... damn... as soon as Tommy told Alfie that he had crossed a line and Alfie WENT OFF on him and reminded about all the sons, fathers, mums, and lads that he's killed or had killed or indirectly killed was an incredible acting sequence that was visceral, and I no longer sympathized with them, still loved them and cheered for them, and then started to sympathize with them all over again during that same episode during the final scene when Tommy told them they were all going to prison and started talking about how he had no choice because of the politicians, and coppers, and the Monarchy, and all those other fookin bastuds out there or worse than them and just damn......what an amazing show, so well written and superb casting and brilliant acting all around

The longer I am on the planet the more I understand that life is not black or white. Tommy's point that the politicians, priests and those corrupted in high places were much worse than the so called crooks.

Paul Anderson to me does the best acting on the show when it comes to range and arcs. He seems as though his frailties are kept at bay by violence. That is such a difficult thing to pull off that does not appear as forced or cheesy. That being said the show has no weak links and I absolutely love it because my grandmother was a Tinker from Liverpool and it ties her whole way of dealing with life in a neat yet extraordinary package. She was confusing,distinct and powerful force of nature.

Seeing Tom Hardy play Alphie Solomons was the exact right choice of actor to boost the entire series to another level! Tommy’s “worthy adversary.”
They are all special john and Arthur’s craziness was so interesting and Alfie was purely funny tommy was so cold and terrifying

I'm a Paul Anderson fan too. Amazing actor and the audience member who asked him to share a little more about Arthur Shelby was spot on in in his comments about the sensitively-portrayed Jekyll & Hyde personas between appalling behaviour yet mixed with a heart-wrenching vulnerability - which Paul Anderson just nailed so commandingly. Hats off.
"Right now, I don't know who I am..... don't ask me f^*king intellectual questions....." - that's just so Arthur, and Paul, and most of us. Aye? Ainit? And that's ok for a time.
I love the rest of the cast as well.... they have all done so remarkably well. Thank you all. 😎🙏🤟🤘

I'm so late to the party. Binged for the 1st time last week. been saving this bit of Cillian... but whoa. I cried like a baby! The best series I have ever watched. period. felt like a 36 hr 🎬 movie and I'm so sad it's over.

Helen was incredible. Dominated every scene she was in. Her character was so strong but so vulnerable and broken. Devastating loss.

My only problem with peaky Blinders is that every time a cast member 'disappears' it's like losing a member of the family - all of them! Dang! Peaky Blinders is the most superbly acted (and cast, and exquisitely scripted TV show of the era.
Everything.. - The storylines, plot, dialogues, cinematography, sets, costumes, direction..
EVERYTHING is done with such love and meticulous craft!

P.S. For those who don't know, and contrary to what 'Google'; answers tell you, Peaky Blinders is based on some historical facts, and has some basis in truth, but essentially this wonderful tale is woven from the brilliant mind of Steven Knight and the tales told to him by his mother and father..
I can barely wait for the sixth series.. and at the same time.. never want it to end!

All the characters are different and the actors played them very well specially cillian and tom hardy ..and one liners of helen are best and the short temper of arthur make this show complete 😂😂

I watched an interview with Cillian for Radio 1 and he was asked "who made you laugh the most?" And he answered "actually Helen, we had a lot of time together and she made me laugh a lot." God bless you HELEN MCRORY. Aunt Polly can't ever be replaced but apparently the clothes designed for her are now being put on Ada, Tommy's sister. And I've seen the three episodes so far of series 6 and she has OWNED IT and done Helen proud. 🙏 Arthur is hilarious. I loved him in The Firm. He played that part brilliantly. And for those who didn't know, Tom Hardy is married to Caroline (actually I think it's Charlotte lol) who played the love interest for Tommy in series 2/3. I forget her character name now, but yeah, that's Tom's wife...... lucky cow. 😁😁
