@TheBrooklynfinest24 Thanks for the comment. Those who say swords = thoughts get that not directly from swords, but from swords = air = thoughts. This is all very debatable and their arguments are pretty weak. They say too that the two sides of the sword = the two sides of the mind. Except that there is a point on the sword so you can stab; there are two flat sides so you can hit; you can also throw it (see Braveheart + Gladiator). Sword = attack or defend. Everyone can understand that.
John, I’m loving your work. Here’s a funny thing: when you told the bus stop story, I misunderstood and thought you meant the pole symbolised a ‘one’ and meant stop! Thinking about it though, a bus stop is the beginning of a journey and perhaps I might like to continue to see it that way. (Although perhaps as someone who was born in Cornwall, it’s better to remember that sometimes rural bus stops may be simply on the road, by a particular gate, tree or hedge... Thank you for your honest, gentle approach to Tarot. It’s like a breath of fresh air, valuable and makes sense to me.
Hello I have a question. Don't each suit represents differnet meaning. Like Cups - Love, feelings. Wands- movements, Swords- toughts, ideas, more of a mental state of mind. Pentacles- Money, finance ?

Wonderful video about the suit of swords. Your knowledge of tarot has taught me a lot about reading the cards :)
Thanks, this makes more sense than the more common translations. "The sword of justice" .....
