As I started watching this I was thinking to myself that I would really enjoy listening to you recite poetry and sure enough, you did! I couldn't agree with you more about reading. Reading builds our vocabulary which in turn, allows us to express ourself more clearly and with nuance. Might I suggest some poetry/literature videos? You've a lovely voice and manner of speaking.

What a brilliant idea, John. We read better once we have a better establishment of ourselves and what are emotions are capable of or not of. Question: I typically draw one card for each day. At the end of the day I take that card and see where it applied or didn't apply to the day's happenings. I then write it down and meditate on what it could have meant. This is a very good way for me to meditate and expand. Do you do something like that?
Interesting...Out of 14 words I wrote down, 3 describe different shades of sadness and I think that says a lot about where I'm at right now. But I don't necessarily see them as bad; grief, for example, can a pathway to joy and feeling alive.

Yes it can, but it's much easier for people to get stuck and be unable to see the positive.
