    Thank you very much for the tutorial. I think the formula for cutting the waist should be "your waist measurement / 6.28"

    This looks so good! Question: how did you come out with the length of the waistband?

    • @MadeByApril

      I Measured along the waist, making sure that the skirt is laying flat on the ground ,,(when taking measurement). And that is how i come out with the length of my waistband..I hope this makes sense :)),, Thank you so much for watching.

      @@MadeByApril I think what she meant what's the length of the elastic band. Is it half of your waistline measurements? 🤔

    Hi, i love this and am making one myself now! :D one question: why did you do the waist band in two steps? I dont see a reason for that. Can't you just cut a 2x bigger waist band (in the width), and then there isnt any sew at the top of the skirt, thats nicer and easier?

    you wasted a lot of time on the waistband when you cut it in the middle. an alternative is you put the closed elastic band in the waistband and sew it on the skirt all together

      So you'd measure the elastic with a slight tautness around your waist, sew it together to form a loop, then pin it into the bi-folded fabric for the waist, then sew it onto the top of the skirt? Right? I dont want to mezz this up

    how to fold the cloth in the beginning?

    • @MadeByApril
      @MadeByApril  11 месяцев назад

      Hello..first ,find the selvage edges of the fabric, which are the finished edges running the length of the fabric.
      Align these edges together.
      Then fold the fabric in half horizontally so that the selvage edges match up perfectly.
      You should now have a doubled layer of fabric.
