Have your key fob in your pocket hold the top bottom for about 3 seconds you’ll see the taillights blink the top portion will stay locked never have to worry about it again
Not sure if anyone has mentioned, B&W makes a tow and stow specifically for the multi-pro talgate. The regular model still hits.
I think I speak for everybody when I say that Ryan needs to do some burnouts in his Challenger. They make supercharger kits for those 3.6s, that would be a nice surprise for him.
This needs to happen. Wonder what 10lbs of boost does to those smaller engines.
Or he should just go by a real challenger with a Hemi

Hey Bruce if you didn't know if you look at the 3rd mirror you will see a little lever on the bottom in the middle push it back and there you go you have a digital mirror.
That is actually only on certain models. Mine does not have that because of the screen size I have and trim level.

Bruce weld some patches on that dump truck find some 1/4” plate scrap and help your boy out dump bed holes so big you can stick your head in the side to check if it’s full

Love the new truck. The only thing I wish GM would have done with them is color match the step in the side of the bed. It just looks weird in black against a white truck.

There is a way to lock out that feature of the tailgate so you cannot easily make that mistake again. Press and hold the button For something 3 or 10 seconds Not quite sure but there is a couple videos out there on it.

I guarantee you’re not the first person to mess up a multi pro tailgate in exactly that way. It’s a good reminder to people that if you buy one of these new pickups with a bunch of features you’re not used to you really need to pay attention until you get used to using all that stuff. Also read the owners manual if you’re not sure, that’s never a bad idea.

Gm has a part- safety switch - that is plug and play. Won’t let top half of tailgate open when hitch ball is in receiver.
B&w makes a special hitch that angles to prevent that but also you can hold the button for 3 seconds to lock the tailgate from dropping the 2nd part of the tailgate while you have a hitch in.
I’d leave the stock wheels with some 35’s chrome won’t look right to me with the black front end

Yea. Definitely a major issue Gm never thought of. And could have changed it but they didn’t yet.
I did the same exact thing to the tailgate of my 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD High Country the first weekend of owning.
Heard about that problem with the step tailgates years ago.

my dad did the sane thing with the multi pro tailgate and the hitch. kinda of a bad design but its still cool

My brother did the same thing with his 2018 L5P Duramax and he still does it now and then and he hasn’t had a problem with the

There’s a way to lock the tailgate so it won’t flip down and smack receiver

First modification you should do to that immediately is delete the death particulate filter

Deleted everything to EGR‘s I’ll kinds of stuff. It’s tuned. It rolls cool like crazy.

That tailgate step issue has been a problem since day one they introduced that idea. I thought they put a warning label on the step when you open down the step. Girly Man's Car

You can disable the tup portion tailgate by holding it for three seconds
The tail gate tangles with tow bar hitch bad design, how do you lower the tow bar to avoid connecting
They sell GM specific hitches to clear the tailgate when the step is folded down

Nice truck they make a kit for the trailer hitch that doesn't let the tailgate fold down when a receiver is In the hitch port it works well can't remember the name I will try and find the info simple installation
The tailgate fix is the brand of the lock out kit for 6 way tailgates
