- Doing MAX lift and then release test at sea level with a Phantom 4 Pro fitted with a Gannet release. This is only a demonstration and not what we recommend you fly as a bait.
I just bought mine this morning for my P3, I think I will keep my baits 300g and sinker 210g (7oz) grapnel sinker

When you are flying baits out with the Phantom 4 are you using sport mode or P mode? Wondering if there is a difference in lifting capability between the 2. Thanks!
Always P mode, sports mode only changes the max tilt angle of the drone so max speed goes up not the power.

@@gannet-dronefishing2295 That makes sense, but when doing the pulley system with heavier line, wouldn't give the drone more capability to have forward thrust and momentum from the tilt angle?
is that a standard 4? version 1? Been comparing the different phantom models for a few weeks now. Deffenetly buying a rig with a gannet x soon for this upcoming fishing season.

I recently bought the Gannett sport for my P3. Works perfectly by the way!
It seems the most I am able to lift is 1 kg and it is not stable enough to fly over water. I have been able to fly out 600 grams bait plus a weight if 3 ounces with line and leader. Do you have any advise on how i may increase the bait weight just a little. I seem to get a pendulum effect once I get to a certain weight. Loop connector is 3 meters from bait.

MikeM make it 6m down and that should get rid of all pendulum totally, but don’t push the load, the drones vary and it is not worth risking it.
Phantom 4’s can lift a little more.
