The BEST professor is in the place 🔥 🔥 🔥
That crash course is the best insight I have come across on passing chords 🙏
I'm mostly improved because of you Sir Warren. Thank you
I've found your channel about a year ago, and I just want to say thank you for your teachings. It really helped me a lot. God bless, brother!

Love the video..Great Teacher......i consider my self an intermediate piano player and I fully followed your teaching....you make it so clear. Thank you so much...going to work on my 2-5-1 / 7-3-6 ....and know my playing will greatly improve. You break it down clearly.
Sir, very impressive. Pls keep posted with passing chords. Thank you and God will richly blessed you. I'm talented in playing keyboard when l was 7 year old. I played during my young ages since high school then l stopped due to work load. However, l 'm started ever since l saw your post in this program. I saving up right now to buy a keyboard for me and l'm start playing again. My problem is, my fingers are slow but not a good excuse. I'll do my best and please so interested in learning passing chords after hearing it now you've showed me. God be with you and will richly bless you by sharing your knowledge and not hiding it. God bless and keep on sharing.
Warren you are the best to ever do it.
Keep it up
God bless you and bless the works of your life 🙏🙏
Your teaching is so great anyone can understand it
Thanks Warren you a blessing 🙌 🙏
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Excellent content and you're very eloquent as well. Thank you soooo much for sharing. One love!!!
Thank you so much Warren❤️. I've learnt so much watching your tutorials over time. And your chord voicing are really apt👋👋👋. God bless you
Good explanation. Thanks sir
Love this discussion. This lesson is only easy for people who normally play with digital software programs that consistently name cords as they play. Currently I use free editions of Ableton live lite and Pro tools DAW software on my computer connected to my Keystation88 controller. Warren I have always been confused about why 251 progressions are so popular. The 251 concept occurring in any key is still not appealing to me, but your renditions are great. I will revisit this 251.
Amazing warren i love this so much, you explained it very well, now i wish you add different way to build that 251 jazzy style
Am gradually growing thank you sir
Superb video.... I gotta try it out myself in my own music to get the concept crystal clear.... amazing video!
God bless u boss
Thanks Warren ...
man, I'm from Brazil and its content is helping me a lot!!!!! TY TY TY
The video on the cycle of fourths and fifths made me understand 251 as being more than just a progression.
Yesssssss

Thank you Warren for once again taking your time and sharing this knowledge I've really improved my playing on the piano because of your videos and lessons. Could you maybe do a chord breakdown on Martha munizzi amazing love, and show all the passing chords one can use there besides the ones the use in the song?
Thank you it helps me a Lot God bless

Im very very beginner, and lok so cool to add 2 5 1 and 7 3 6 😁😁😁
Amazing 👍
I am a beginner, and I really love your sound. I think, is it possible?
Great Lesson Warren, I always learn a lot from these lessons! On 6:42 I suppose it's B not Bb!
This one that Mr Warren have now started to use Afro beat as his theme song now.
I won't be shocked if u now start breaking down how to play "Gods own" by Mastercraftz.
Thanks for giving out these cool stuffs for free.
I would appreciate if you can do a tutorial on Wade in the water - by The Spirituals (Junior Garr)
Instead going to the E why not playing a Bb left hand with the same Ab C D G(or F) right hand? Sounds more melodious and subtle, don't you think? By the way, I really like the added Dsharp on the "second" degree, kind of magic trick I'm sure I wouldn't have ever done this without your input (as on his own and out context it sounds very dark and "wrong";-)
I think it'll be good if you just explain which chords to use when going to another chord so that it can be applied in any other song we wish to play. I suggest you use progressions instead of songs and be slow when using the passing chords so that we can get it
At this point I probably have two dozen videos that that topic.
No, it’s better when you use a practical example 👌 👌. And the speed is just fine. We have rewind and even slow down settings.
You know how to teach my son
Very educative this tutorial; thanks a lot...please M Warren, l want to know if as beginner l can first play the triard until it become easier for me to change from one chord to another before starting adding extension or shoud l start adding extension right away.
You have major 2-5-1 and minor 2-5-1 👌🙏
cool video. i want substitution lesson please
This is awesome!! Do you have formal jazz training at all?
I’m classically trained with a few lessons in jazz studies. Mist of what I know about gospel and jazz is self-taught.
I live it 😉
So basically Mr Warren when playing the 7-3-6:
i. Playing the 2nd of the key you are in with the (7) in the bass.
ii. Play the 4th of the previous key. The 4th of B major is E major right.
...and that ladies and gentlemen is the Circle of Fourths.
"Keep listening, keep practicing, and keep playing"
Thanks, Warren. Btw, what plugin do you use to show those highlighted notes? God bless
The software is called Midiculous
@@PianoLessonwithWarren thanks so much Warren. Such a great help 😊
Love that! Out of curiosity, is that the Keyscape midi piano keyboard you're using?:) looks familiar!
Nah I’m using Addictive Keys.

I wanna learn that thing you did at 10:00-10:03
Question: is ur key of c altered extension course basically like this?
Yes, but a lot mire in-depth.
Warren pls can I use major 7th sharp 11 as passing to minor chord
Hmmm I do not know, don’t believe I have.
Warren I'm still confused of what chords you are playing. It sounds good but I don't know how to recognize #9 b13 or what. I'm just copying of what you're doing but I don't know what's the name of that chord HAHA😅.
-from Philippines 🇵🇭
You have to learn the theory rules governing chords and harmony. It’s not something you’re going to understand until you actively information about it.
#9 b13 is aka a #5#9. (A #5 is equivalent to a b13..(b6) ).. one hack i use to make this chord is, play root in the the bass, then on the major 3rd degree, play a maj7b5 chord (root position)…. That will give you the chord we’re talking about (Dom 7 #5#9 chord)
Which gear do you use?
It’s depends, be more specific
If you are a pianist in Christ embassy this videos are useful
Let’s go! Did I mention I watch these at 2x speed so you always be flying on the keys. LOL.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💙❤💙❤💙❤🙏🙏
Are they No other advanced way of playing the 6 chord.to take it out side the box
Oh yes, there’s other ways
Then share it with us sir
@@wisdomakor8853 it’s all about context. I use chords based on its relevance.

Please Can you do a tuto for what Friend WE have in Jésus Christ
Cuz....you just bad to da bone !
Can you or any one in the comments help me write a song for my ex gf? I only have bad free piano libraries and I cant make anything with it that sounds good and fits the mood of the song or my lyrics. I dont know if its because the free piano sound is bad or its me. But Im sure you guys have good piano libraries or a keyboard workstation so you can help me.
Lol you’re joking, right? 😂😂
