I started relearning piano a couple of months ago, trying to play Hymns and Gospel songs. But since what I studied as a child was classical piano, I’m so used to playing exactly what’s written on the music sheet. But I want to get out of that and play spontaneously!

I was immediately shocked because i am from the Cayman Islands, and I am so, so, very, very sorry for this tremendous loss, and you at such a young age.
Please accept my most Sincere Condolences to you. I lost my Mom about three years ago, and it is something that One never gets over.
I thank the Lord that He has Blessed you with such an Awesome Gift from Him, made you a Professional, and that you are using it for the Lord service.
I am very interested in your teaching delivery, and would like to try it out. I taught myself piano from age 7 and I play for my Church but always try to keep learning new things to try.
Keep looking to the Lord, and I'll start praying for you, and your family.

I don't know I can put this. Like I am not a beginner, I've been playing for more than 8 years now. The thing is I never liked Gospel piano playing, the chords just always felt wrong to me and they never made any sense to me. I never enjoyed even lestening to gospel style song. In my church we sing more classical type of hymn.
I finally realized how rich and complicated that style is and I have been trying to learn it. I am now listening to gospel song so I can feel more comfortable with those chords.
Now I am new to the Gospel style of playing and I just feel like a complete beginner. This video will be helping me a lot in my journey, it is game changer.
Welcome and glad you enjoyed the video. I wasn’t raised on gospel style music. And my music degree is in classical piano performance. I’m mentioning this to let you know that’s it’s never too late to learn a new style. You just have to be patient, and willing to learn. The more you learn the more you’ll appreciate this style as you’ll begin to understand the music and what you’re hearing.

Youre videos are best! Youre spewing some golden chord theories here which never been much shared while explaining the basic chords for beginners.
As a dual keyboard player, I've trained my left hand to do FULL chord voicings so that I can use my right for upper structure extensions and/or another moving voices like strings or horns. Practice with your left hand, the same root chords in all keys, then each chord's inversions.
