That is by far the most eloquent, clearest explanation and illustration of music theory I've ever seen. I'm a guitar player, and even I got inspired by it. Just absolutely outstanding. Thank you.
Most of these advance piano youtubers keep on confusing others with their rootless voicings but atleast for you warren, you keep on hitting the roots of your voicings and it's really a good practice. You're are good teacher!!!
Thank you 🙏🏾 most RUclips’s aren’t actual teachers, they are players wanting to teach - huge difference. I was teaching for years One-to-one piano before moving to RUclips 😊
Warren, this lesson was an excellent explanation on the subject of altered extensions and gave me a clearer understanding of which to use and where. As a 74-year old senior still studying jazz and arranging. I play tenor sax and bass and have an original tune I'm trying to arrange for big band. Trying to learn arranging as I go, a slow process at my age. Thanks for your very excellent video.
my mentor you are gifted. not only you are the best, you also know how to teach. RUclips should also give you an award. God bless you and all your family. great tutorial
You have no idea what you are doing to the mystery of gospel piano playing. You've unravelled secrets kept solely by the best of the best. Your reward is divine.
A keyboard wizard spreading his wisdom. I am studying chord Theory and I'm in the thick of it right now. This video answered a lot of questions. I'm very grateful.
Bro this is just what I needed. I've been searching for someone to provide this type of tutorial. God bless you and everything that concerns you bro. Keep shining.✔ 💯
I don't known what to say but I've learned so much from this... Stay diatonic as possible (for beginner's like myself) fool around the blues sake n such... Warren thank u for the time n dedication... Gos bless
The way you explained this has now opened up my understanding of how to construct these chords thanks for making something less complex and very simple to understand
Just what i was looking for. I just subscribed and added a whole lot of your videos to my watch later list. Thank you very much, the very best to you !
Dude you are such a good teacher. I never knew the 7th is the bridge to creating extended chords. So the difference between Cadd9 and C9 is a dom 7. Cool cool
Warren that’s one of the best piano tutorials I’ve ever seen on RUclips! Love your energy and the way that the knowledge just flows out from you and so great to hear it all in context as you play the examples then in the context of a song.. fantastic work you’re doing there ✨🙏🏻✨ thank you for taking the time to share your wisdom and bad-ass gospel chops!!!

Amazing class, just the intro of the distance and numbering of chords explained in a way so easy to understand, wow !!!!!. So many tips; I will have to get the feel for, loved it!
Warren, it's a very clear explanation. now I know more about the altered chord which brings much color to a song. I am so happy to learn a beautiful song "Lord you are welcome" from you.😃 I always don't know how I apply it, whether to omit some note sometimes, or I just play the block chord, or I have to play in broken chord? As I can see , you left hand also will play the differennt note of the chord. As a beginner, I always just use an octave, or use 1 5 8 pattern. After watching your playing, I think I can at least get more clue now. Thanks so much!!
Outstanding work Warren. You always have so many fascinating and deeply interesting lessons, I feel I am always learning something new and invaluable. Thanks. 👍
Yup true, thats how I look at these as well.. The 9th is the 2nd but in the first higher octave, 11th is 4th, 13th, is the 6th, etc. Thanks for awesome explanation btw.
