    • @grabble7605
      @grabble7605 Год назад +2

      I remain fully convinced that anybody who ever describes metal as "just noise" has never listened to a single song in the genre. To segue into a bit of an odd simile, it's like people who say McDonald's "tastes like cardboard". You can _not like_ McDonald's (I don't like 'em) but it tastes _nothing_ like cardboard. It's just bizarre how some people will make themselves seem actually dysfunctional (in hearing, taste, etc.) to justify a preference.

    Hey guys,
    since you enjoyed this one, you'll love "Fear of the dark" live in Rio, 20 years later 😉 This one is from the early 80s, where Hard Rock / Heavy Metal was still underground, but bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Van Halen etc. got a loyal fan base and brought them from small clubs to stadiums. Maiden are definitely one of the pillars of this movement and respected by everybody in the scene! Lead singer Bruce Dickinson is a legend by his own, not only one of the best vocalists EVER (did you realized how long he was holding that notes?!), but also olympic level fencer, pilot (he flies the tour plane!), author and cancer survivor.

    Fuck yeah ! Maiden has soooo many dope ass songs. My personal favorites are 2 minutes to midnight, aces high , flight of icarus , and seventh son of a seventh son. This Era was just before the whole labelization of rock was " Evil, Satanic, or Ritualistic " . When people actually listen to the words, most rock bands sang either about political distaste , historical events or times, or fantastical stories. Many take a perspective of history and times that are recorded like kings, vikings, monarchs, Christianity or catholicism and the movement on the masses, political wars based on agenda to religion and positions of power. Its just interesting. It was one of the first movements against the way the world operates publicly and in mass production. And just like my love for hip hop too, everyone has a story and a life to compare and find common ground on many related subjects. It's when we see similarities in people not differences that we grow as a people.

    There is an absolutely wonderful documentary this band made called Flight 666. The lead singer, Bruce, flies planes and he takes the band on tour to play in countries that they normally can't play in (because Bruce flies the plane). It's absolutely awesome, especially when they go to Columbia. I've been wanting some RUclipsrs anywhere to react to it but I haven't seen anyone do it.

    My young brothers. So glad to see you react to my favorite band of all time. I enjoy watching you all do reactions to so many of what I grew up with. 80's movies, sports, music extra. My first Iron Maiden concert was 1985. I just went to my 10th one last Monday. They are by far the best live show I've ever seen. So check this out. Bruce Dickinson the lead singer is a pilot. He flies a 747 jet around the world. With the whole crue and stage show during their tour. He had throat cancer years back. To this day they are sailing out 80 thousand plus venues around the world. The Bass player Steve Harris is the founding member of the band. He is the primary writer of all the music. With 17 studio albums plus live extra. Giving more than 200 sold albums combined. Just the fact that they are on a world tour this year. Well into their mid 60s to 70. You have to give them props for that alone. Check out Rime of the Ancient Mariner live. Flight 666. It starts out showing Bruce flying the then 747 jet plane. With all the Maiden artwork on the plain. Go down the rabbit hole and enjoy. There's a shit load to review. Over 35 years to react to. I promise you will LOVE IT.

Go watch the LIVE AFTER DEATH video, which is the tour (1985) supporting the Powerslave album. You'll love the stage presence. Now you know what some have been enjoying for decades. If you really want a taste, go to the upcoming Future Past tour starting in 2023. They'll be playing from the Somewhere in Time album (1986) and the new Senjutsu (2021) album. Both are awesome.

And these guys are still going strong too. I've seen them live 5 times they have always put on a totally unforgettable show. Old school fans bring their grandchildren to see them for Pete's sake. In my opinion the most successful metal band ever. Glad to see younger cats get a true appreciation to their work.

    They had 2 guitarists for first half of their career. Adrian Smith went solo in 1992 and he was replaced by Janick Gers. When Smith came back in 1999, Gers remained and they have stayed with that lineup since. They changed singers a couple of times, but the best known two are Bruce Dickenson who was with them from Number of the Beast through Fear of the Dark and Brave New World onward and Paul Di'Anno who sang on the first two albums, the self titled debut and Killers. Their lives shows are incredible no matter what era you watch.
