Crispy Pork Skin Delight Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 tbsp. Sea salt
4 lbs. Pork skin (without fat)
Pork fat for deep-frying
Instructions & Preparation:
If needed, remove excessive hair from the pork skin surface.
Boil the pork skin for approximately 20 minutes.
Rinse with cold water.
Cutting and Seasoning:
Cut the boiled pork skin into pieces, approximately 1/2" x 3".
Mix the pork skin pieces thoroughly with 1/2 tbsp. of sea salt.
Allow the seasoned pork skin to sundry for about 2 full days.
Deep-Frying:
Once sundried and ready to fry, turn the stove to high heat.
Heat the pork fat until melted.
Add the dried pork skin to the hot oil.
Initial Frying:
Wait until the pork skin forms a slight crackling.
Turn off the heat and move away from the stovetop.
Let it cool and soak in the oil for approximately 2 hours or overnight.
Save the crispy pork skin inside a container or cooking pot.
Final Frying:
When ready to cook, heat the stove to high heat.
Wait until the oil is hot.
Add the pre-soaked pork skin into the hot oil.
Golden Perfection:
Fry until the pork skin turns a beautiful golden color.
Remove from the oil and set aside to cool.
Note:
For safety, wear protective eyewear and a long-sleeved shirt to guard against hot oil splatters.

What happen if you dont let if soak in oil overnight before you deep fry? Is there a difference?
The cracker will get tougher or harder to eat.
What happens if you don’t soak the dry skins in oil overnight? Can I just fry them straight from the jar?
If you don;t soak the skin overnight then it won't work.
@@GigisLaoKitchen hmm, another recipe says you don’t have to soak over night. She just suggested for me to fry it straight from the freezer with no defrost or soaking!
That’s so weird that you said it wouldn’t work without soaking.
I will have to try it without soaking.
Please let me know when try that.
