bought a 2.0t in a b7 chassis with a knock and low oil issues as a flip and you sir have been my greatest asset over the past week. Needed new balance shafts with pump + new turbo. I've learned so much from you about these 2.0L engines I think I might flip another A4. Thank you naptown keep making videos your a great teacher.

Just received the newest revision oil pump for my 2010 A4 Quattro. Is there any specific oil pump priming procedure for this car/engine? By the way AWESOME job on these maintenance videos for these engines its’s helped me out tremendously…THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Right, those 3-4 bolts are giving me finger cramps even I have all the tools u have. 1 or 2 are particularly difficult when it is at an angle, right under cross bar, sealant in the hole getting dry, and when I don't have a lift. Trick: Try using T27 instead of T30 to start (not tighten) the bolts. Try replacing the bolts with 10mm bolts if u have more choices of tools. Trying lifting up the engine with support bar. I did it after watching your video. Thanks. Hope it would stop the oil leaks and I don't have to remove the lower timing cover.
Falls apart, timing chain stretches , tensioner goes with ,and piston rings allow so much blow by. In addition carbon build up on intake. If they could just couple port with direct injection like they do in Europe.
I have a 2008 Audi A4 Quattro convertible 2.0. I order a new oil pan with all the new bolts and screws. Do I need a gasket aswell? I don't see you putting any gaskets so I'm confuse.
What car is that? I have same motor a6 allroad. Thinking is it that easy or is there something that need to take first Off.. All the plastic are gone..
Ive had that working on a friend's car attitude, just get a punching bag put it in the corner, relieve that anger ,who knows maybe you'll feel better.i know it doesn't work for me .friends with money does.
Hi Naptown. Did you just jack the engine up with all of the engine mount bolts still installed? Or were the two big bolts (one per side) removed to be able to lift it?
@@user-kc4ex9pn1b No. Ended up just doing the job. It's doable without jacking up the motor. You need to get some special torx bits like he showed in the video, though. Jacking it up does help but the second time I did it without the jack and still managed to get it done. I have a 2012 Q5.
Have you ever attempted to take the upper oil pan out while in the car? Would it be relatively easy? I need to do rings I have the head off need to do rings but absolutely don’t feel like pulling the rest of it unless it’s absolutely necessary.
Any videos on the upper oil pan replacement? Trying to determine if it can be done in the vehicle (Audi q5 2.0t Quattro) without pulling the transmission.

After my engine rebuild on the first start up. The oil pan decided to leak like crazy. Before I started it there were no leaks. But seems like the pressure caused leaks too come out of the oil pan. Super weird.

Just got my new motor in my Audi. How do you prime the oil pump? There is oil in it and when I started it it rattles and no oil in the oil filter?????

One of the hardest parts is taking the pump off of the chain. Would’ve been nice to have that part

You pull the engine out? I bet so because that upper oil pan is connected to the rear main seal

There’s a couple of bolts that mount the trans to the upper oil pan. You should be able to get it.

the k04 is just a bolt on if you get the one with the exhaust manifold
How do you prime this engine and oil pump? I'm at the end of this same project and car has been sitting drained of oil for a month or 2.
Disconnect the coils and try starting it…it will prime up
