people are stupid. I got bitten a few years ago by a German shepperd on a leash as I walked past it. it just jumped up and grabbed me. I know dogs and it displayed no warning signs at all. thankfully I was wearing a fluffy winter coat and the teeth got stuck in my sleeve so I only got scraped by the teeth. the owner told me and I quote "we wear parkas so that the bites don't hurt". I was too shocked by that to ask what he does in the summer. to get his house address I asked for proof of rabies vaccination and sent a picture to my vet. jerk gave me something totally different that I not being a vet didnt realize wasn't what I needed. that was the final nail and I reported it to the police. it ended up with a warning and a mandatory quarantine. the police thankfully confirmed the dog was vaccinated. I have seen the dog a few times since but I'm hoping the police visit will get the guys head screwed on straight about training his dog.

One time my dog escaped but my dad was in the garage and got her so we put board in front of the open spot and my other dog tried to escape but she was to fat to go through so I have had many stories where my dogs escaped or ran away for a few minutes or hours its really scary!

The dog was a small Chihuahua type dog, not the small Chihuahua's but a bit smaller than Spuds McKenzie the beer dog. The dog was inside a fence and I thought I was safe but the dog had previously dug a trench under the fence for just such an occasion. I was unaware that he had bitten me, my body went into immediate shock so I felt nothing but a fainting spell coming on. I took two steps and watched the Mexican lady across the street come at me with a broom screaming loudly and swinging that broom. I thought she was about to beat the crap out of me with that broom but she went after that dog and the owner when she came out running her mouth. From that point I remember nothing until I snapped out of whatever state I was in and I was standing across from my school. Our lunch lady sat at the entrance bench scolding me for being so late and making her wait and then she noticed I was almost dead I guess and when I leaned forward to give her my lunch money and blood poured out the top of my knee high boot and onto the sidewalk. I felt my lips throbbing and started swooning. She lifts my mini skirt (this was in the seventies) a bit and there was a gigantic down to the bone hole in my leg where my thigh had been. She screamed and flipped backward off the bench sending the cigar box of money and lunch tickets flying as I finally let myself faint or die.. I had no idea which was happening to me. Be careful and never think a tiny dog can't kill you.
When I was 4 years old me my cousin who is 2years older then me were playing catch with someone's dog(black lab) an out of nowhere it snapped and started ripping at my head and I had to get 60 something stitches to put my scalp back together.. long story short that dog got put down

People need to understand that keeping a leash on a vicious dog is not the answer. This dog has chased numerous people. It has bitten numerous people. It is a dangerous dog. It will attack again if the opportunity arises. And next time, it could be fatal. I love dogs (and cats), and have a dog of my own. Granted, he’s an 18 pound short legged Jack Russell terrier, but the strength of his jaws, is insane. He’s a very muscular dog, and deceptively strong for his size. Picture a mini Cane Corso. And like that breed, he is very protective of his owner. Which is why he is muzzled anytime we are going to be around other dogs, cats, etc., as well as around other people. People are always wanting to pet him, and unmuzzled he very well might bite. He has taken an instant dislike to a couple of people over the years. And I’ve seen him jump as high as the chest of a 5’11” man. If he hadn’t been muzzled, that might have ended very badly. Don’t get me wrong. Jax isn’t vicious. But he IS reactive. And protective. Knowing that, I ensure that he is safe to be around other animals and people. Know your dog. Protect your dog by protecting others from your dog. And if your dog is truly vicious, like this one, consider either moving to the country away from everyone else - even then, keep it in a fenced area - or having the dog put down. Because if you don’t, you may end up having to live with that dog killing someone, or maiming someone for life.

Unfortunately they have to be put down no questions once it taste blood....but the owner is responsible for the attacks aggressive dogs should be considered dangerous, a loaded gun and needs to be handled like all fire arm. So owners should be charged for attempt murder if the person survives the attack. All you dog owners with aggressive dogs don't care and irresponsible y'all allow them dogs to stay aggressive and not train them properly. Y'all want them to get lose that's why you don't fix your fences or secure your area properly. If you cared about the lives around you, you would do all the preventive and precautions to make sure your dogs that you know are aggressive are locked up. Zero excuses or should any excuses be tolerated in court. Sometimes I get to thinking they should be put in a cage full of them aggressive dogs they don't know and see how it feels to get mauled. But it's not up to me, that's why we need the system to work. All you corrupt officials you know you are not wrong letting these dogs free after they attack children, people and other animals. You should also be put in the same same cage with the owner with all them aggressive dogs.

"We're not dealing with a small dog here." he says. When I was 7 years old I teased a dog on my way to school with a bag of Cheetos. The dog was a small Chihuahua type dog, not the small Chihuahua's but a bit smaller than Spuds McKenzie the beer dog. The dog was inside a fence and I thought I was safe but the dog had previously dug a trench under the fence for just such an occasion. I was unaware that he had bitten me, my body went into immediate shock so I felt nothing but a fainting spell coming on. I took two steps and watched the Mexican lady across the street come at me with a broom screaming loudly and swinging that broom. I thought she was about to beat the crap out of me with that broom but she went after that dog and the owner when she came out running her mouth. From that point I remember nothing until I snapped out of whatever state I was in and I was standing across from my school. Our lunch lady sat at the entrance bench scolding me for being so late and making her wait and then she noticed I was almost dead I guess and when I leaned forward to give her my lunch money and blood poured out the top of my knee high boot and onto the sidewalk. I felt my lips throbbing and started swooning. She lifts my mini skirt (this was in the seventies) a bit and there was a gigantic down to the bone hole in my leg where my thigh had been. She screamed and flipped backward off the bench sending the cigar box of money and lunch tickets flying as I finally let myself faint or die.. I had no idea which was happening to me. Be careful and never think a tiny dog can't kill you.

I know the dogs owner is gonna say the dog is a therapy dog, and babysits her 1 year old grandchild. I’m sure the owner wouldn’t recollect any bad behavior ever and claim the dog uses a fork and spoon to eat. That is how well trained and polite the dog is.

I have always owned a sweet, playful Pittythat is a family member and sleeps in my bed. If someone attacked me, she would run off with her tail between her legs. However, THIS dog didn't need surgery...he needed to be euthanized instead.

People need to understand that keeping a leash on a vicious dog is not the answer. This dog has chased numerous people. It has bitten numerous people. It is a dangerous dog. It will attack again if the opportunity arises. And next time, it could be fatal. I love dogs (and cats), and have a dog of my own. Granted, he’s an 18 pound short legged Jack Russell terrier, but the strength of his jaws, is insane. He’s a very muscular dog, and deceptively strong for his size. Picture a mini Cane Corso. And like that breed, he is very protective of his owner. Which is why he is muzzled anytime we are going to be around other dogs, cats, etc., as well as around other people. People are always wanting to pet him, and unmuzzled he very well might bite. He has taken an instant dislike to a couple of people over the years. And I’ve seen him jump as high as the chest of a 5’11” man. If he hadn’t been muzzled, that might have ended very badly. Don’t get me wrong. Jax isn’t vicious. But he IS reactive. And protective. Knowing that, I ensure that he is safe to be around other animals and people. Know your dog. Protect your dog by protecting others from your dog. And if your dog is truly vicious, like this one, consider either moving to the country away from everyone else - even then, keep it in a fenced area - or having the dog put down. Because if you don’t, you may end up having to live with that dog killing someone, or maiming someone for life.
So I tie dogs up in the front yard.. Keeps the crimnals away!!!!
