Lunkerhunt spider lure got me this HUGE bass on a Missouri farm lake. Owner didn't think there was something this big in there! Thought I was exaggerating.
AWESOME! You Were {{{ShAkInG}}} @3:10 Trying to remove that Hook (Due to the Adrenaline Rush lol) Very well Understood :) I Fish Small Farm Ponds like this too In Florida. People always disregard them! *They Just don't Know, "WHAT LURKES IN THEM"!! I Know, BIG "Bucketmouth Behemoths"*
Yessir I felt like a little kid I gotta say. I'm a low level fisherman so that was mind boggling for me. If I caught it again I'd probably be shaking just as much. Catch em up!
I'd pay to be able to find time to go smallmouth fishing! I totally agree it's the best. Love fishing on a nice river in my kayak, but it's like pulling teeth to get away. Catch em up!
Sorry for no responses to everyone who has left a comment. I'm barely able to keep track of my RUclips channel all. Never really had comments from people I don't know but I thought this would be enjoyable for some of the fish hunters out there. As you can see I don't post much, but I hope to start posting more fishing and travel stuff. Got a great new kayak last year and I've had it out on ponds/lakes, but finally took it on a float trip. Moving water is the BEST! Anyway Good luck out there everyone! CATCH EM UP!
@@ThingIAm man... for sure... I just retired after 18 years in law enforcement... I didnt fish ONCE my entire career... Just got a new pole and reel and Im looking to get out on some water ASAP!!!
Did I read that right? Didn't fish once your entire career?!!? I can relate cause I really only got fish fever about 8 or 9 years ago, and I'm edging on 60. If you get the hook it's actually going to be better being retired. It may sound ridiculous, but spent the first couple years feeling like there was something wrong with me cause it was all I could do to go to work!! LOL!! Hope you love it! Great timing on getting out there, fall bass weather is right on us. Catch em up!!
@@ThingIAm mmaaaannn... I was working 60 hour weeks and coaching high school football. This knee injury and surgery happened right before COVID. Blessing in disguise for a 50 year old cop. It was time to move on. Just got my first pole in years and a nice bass reel. Time to get busy. 😂🤣
LOL! I have used the spider a couple times as a prank. Not close enough someone could get a hook in their foot stomping on it, but it's got other uses. HA!
Love to hear how you do. Just got mine out a few days back for the first time this year on some lily padded and grassy areas. Lots of pops and splashes but I only had about 30 min to play. Not enough time to fish in a life!
Yah if the body was filled out can you imagine how big that thing would be?! That bucket was at least 5 inches wide. I could have put my whole fist in there.

Thanks. I don't use a leader. I'm not that advanced yet or whatever I guess. I have a hard time making myself take time to do time-consuming extra stuff to go fishing cause mostly I get a little 1 hour window here or two hour window there and the time just disappears! Sounds stupid but I enjoy being out in the open trying to catch as much as catching. Especially in nice natural areas. So i get the lure on the line and get to pitching before time runs out. Definitely not the smartest approach to fishing I know. LOL!
Yah I know the line probably wouldn't snap but my mind was racing through how old the line is, if I had pulled too many snagged lures loose or worn it down, reasons it might snap and how much it would suck if it did at that moment. I'm not the top notch, best gear, restring every time I fish guy and not really that experienced yet. Totally wasn't expecting a giant and I really wanted to get it in my hands. LOL!
Since I had no scale on hand, there's no way to be certain. All I know is, looking around on the web at vids of 10+ pounders people have caught and weighed, and especially considering the size of the bucket on that thing, I'm sticking with something like 11 or 12. I'm about to post another video of almost the identical thing happened a couple weeks ago. THAT one was only 9 or 10. Anyway, just another fish story for everyone. Catch em up!
Well, I guess I would be considered by some fishing people to be a lightweight. I'm a catch n release guy primarily. I love to fish and catch of course, and see them swim away for someone else to enjoy catching maybe. Besides it was a VRBO, not my lake or property, just staying there for a few nights.
Just a tip: you're actually using that baitcaster with the wrong hand. It works this way, but if you're right-handed, you're meant to use a left-side reel on a caster. Helps a lot when you have lures that you need to retrieve as soon as they hit the surface. Otherwise, you have to cast, switch hands, then retrieve. If you're curious, I highly recommend trying the opposite side handle and see how you like it. I started out with handle on the right (I'm right-handed) and got one on the left, like it MUCH better.
Every time I see one of those spiders I think about picking one up. I've done well with mice and rats but some of these baits are getting pretty obscure. I mean, ducks? For pike maybe. I can just see casting that thing all day for nothing.
As I've said to several I'm not a great experienced, or probably even very good fisherman. But I've had some luck with the spider other than the couple biggies I've posted videos about. In the right circumstances I've gotten a good amount of smaller bass and even gotten a couple big bluegill with appetites above their size. The one with the white underside never got a bite. But the one brown on top with a dark underside did well. Bought a full black one to try this year. I'm looking forward spring to see how many more big bullfrogs I catch with it. If I'm not catchin' bass. Did you see my bullfrog video on the spider?
What a hog!!!! I've caught a couple like this in my 48 years. They are few and far between. But the memories last a lifetime.
I just saw these lures at my local Bass Pro shop. Nice catch!
Looked like a 5 pounder to me!!!
Nice catch!!! 🤙

Solid 4lbs all day she was skinny but had a head of a 6 or 7
I purchase one two years ago , and the Bass just looked at it 😳 🤫😂🤣😅
Kudos for supporting his body when you held him up.
agreed so many people don’t hold the fish properly
I'm loving the s*** out of this tune it's perfect
Wow!!! Great catch…I can almost hear your heart beating!!!
Man I will remember it to my last day. LOL! Still trying to top it. Catch em up!
2 of my favorite things Spiders and Big Bass!
Dang. Congratulations my dude!
Smallmouth Bass fishin’ is the best but largemouth are fun to catch too as long as they’re as big as this one.

Nice instrumental.
Cool Fish!
Underrated but the biggest one i've seen
Nice catch I have same spider & hopefully catch a big bass
Sweetly done!
Awesome catch. Classic!
fire music bretheren
fire... fire on the farm pond
I’m a picky SOB but the music ruined it. I want to hear that splash at least or even the drag lol great fish though
Magic monday . . Your out looking FOR TACO tursday . . Jajaja no . Haha .
5 pound head but a 4 pound body!
bingo, but still nice
Typical of August bass. Way past spawning season when they're at their peak weight. Still a fun video.
So was there a reason for the first 2 mins?? Showed absolutely nothing
Awesome catch bro
I'm buying the lure now
Did you get a chance to use it yet?
NICE!
Thanks!
Nice pond, and nice bass!
Thanks!
Giant?
My last bass Lunkerhunt spider was 19 inch 3 lb smallie
Never Thought about using it for smallest! Thanks for the Intel! Catch em Up!
What lake is this in mo...
Nice!!! That will get your heart pumping when they blow that spider up like that... Hahahahaha!!! Thats so cool...
Just gotta get time to make that happen again!

Nice catch!
Thanks! Still looking for bigger. LOL!
Pond bass will bite anything. The spider looks cool, but any other top water with any real action will outperform it.
Nice fish bro 😎
Dang bro nice catch!!
Thanks man! Still think of it every time I fish. LOL!
cool
Those still abu Garcia colors?
he seems pretty unhealthy based on head size
Yah if the body was filled out can you imagine how big that thing would be?! That bucket was at least 5 inches wide. I could have put my whole fist in there.
Possibly stunted.
Due to competition for food.
Kinda looks like that place has too many small fish that need to be cleaned out.
Nice fish though. 😎👍

How the f is the line gonna snap w 20lb braid? You could pull up the tree he was hiding under also

2.25"

I had 20lb braid on there.
@@ThingIAm nice casting
Saw one of these at bass pro and had to get one
Did you get to using one yet?
How much do you think it weighed?
At the time it was a world record! LOL! Realistically, I think 11 or 12 lbs. Biggest bass I've ever seen with my eyes. Catch em up!

Thanks 😋
Nice bass. If she had eggs in her she would have been more of a monster

What you’re saying makes sense but I just switch while the lures in the air still. It’s not hard.
Or maybe I’m just telling myself that because I already own 12 reels 😅
That monster had to be at least 2-3 lbs
6+ pounds i bet
