Oh 100%. It's informative while being the most relaxing thing in the world until I get an adrenaline rush for him when he hooks something. I have his stuff constantly on the tv in my shop in the background because it's like a moving painting.
Love this channel! TacticalBassin and NDY are my favs. My son's cousin uses these kind of huge baits.... but rats. Hard for me to look at them!!! But man does he catch some huge bass. Even when he comes to fish at my place in the Adirondacks. Didn't know bass grew that big here until he showed up. Teaches me a lot. He is trying to make a channel of his own. Learning the ropes and at the very least you can watch him catch some big ones. ruclips.net/video/fm6wGPETqQw/видео.html
There is a certain tension whilst reeling in that this video shows so perfectly. The quiet, the glassy black water, the mist.. at any moment a fish can strike. It’s exhilarating.
I need to watch more of this guy. It's so peaceful especially his quiet voice and hearing the loons and sounds of nature. Hes the best! One of those youtubers whose videos you can constantly send to a friend saying "isn't this so cool?!" Or "I thought you'd like this lure "
Totally. At a family members cabin in Minnesota, my favorite part besides the fishing is being able to fall asleep to the sound of the loons and frogs. Those loons seriously give me goosebumps with how mystical they sound especially at night.
Minnesota is probably one of the most beautiful states in the country, easily in the top 5. So unique, pristine, clean, friendly people. The winter is probably the price Minnesotan natives have to pay to enjoy all the other months of bliss.
Best line my friend: "Beautiful day out here...I've got nothing better to do..." The ideal state every fisherman strives to reach...there is no greater gift than time to do what you love in this life. My wish to all who follow this gentleman angler! Amen
I've had other BPM baits ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!
Watching his videos makes me feel like I am on the boat with him and he’s giving me pointers. So relaxing compared to the rest of social media these days.
Didn't know how jealous I was til that first cast. That view,..the scenery,....the sound of that top water bird blurpin' along??? So jealous brother. You got it made my friend. Truly blessed.
I've caught probably thousands of largemouth bass on Indiana ponds, but have never caught a small mouth or pike. SO much fun to watch these videos and dream of a trip north to some backwater lake or stream. It's like being a complete novice. Great channel!

The absolutely astonishing first catch, along side the perfect glass like water, and the Bob Ross type fisherman is the perfect collection for a RUclips video.
Growing up, my paps and I rarely saw eye to eye. With the pandemic, we had to settle our differences. A year later, we have to have a ND Yak video playing every time we sit down for dinner. Keep doing what you’re doing! It goes beyond fishing 🎣

This is my new favourite angling channel. A relaxed video delivery, beautiful scenery and a gentle yet soothing commentary. Much love from Cape Town, South Africa!
What a nice catch Matt. Just love how you can take an interesting lure like that and catch a dandy. I will be looking forward to your analysis on the pics and whether that was the same bass or not from last year!
Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
Love your channel. I took an 8 year break from fishing because i haven’t had time due to having little children but now they are old enough to come with me. We were watching your channel together last night so I could show them how exciting bass fishing is. They loved it!
I'm a lot like you. I love to fish weird baits and old forgotten antique lures. I've caught many a fish on old forgotten rummage sale lures that have not seen water for 40 or 50 years. Thanks for the beautiful morning on the water.
I absolutely adore your videos. Your fishing skills are phenomenal. Thank you you for introducing many new lures and tight lines to you! I hope to one day fish the same productive type of waters that you fish. 🎣

It's really piqued my interest in picking up a rod again - thank you for sharing the beauty of Northern USA, and for such a charming narration throughout your videos. 👌
Great opening with the stillness of the scenery and the sound of your yak and paddle displacing water. Tranquility is the word that comes to mind until your adrenaline kicks in due to a big-ole bass breaking the surface, inhaling a bird lure. So cool you got that on film, congrats on the catch!

I tried the cockatoo smuggler on Lake Minnetonka with some other weird lures and I was surprised how well these worked. I worked it with a slow, steady retrieve and also like a jerk bait and both ways worked really well. Love your vids Matt! Keep 'em coming!
Amazing bird lure! It actually swims the crawl stroke with it’s wing! I wonder if the butterfly stroke action would be more attractive to fishes! Thank you for sharing.

Biggest bass I ever caught on the best lure: fly-fishing at sunset in late spring, wading on the edge of a 20-foot drop-off, spawning bass circling the edge of the drop-off. Brought-in a small blue-gill on the fly-line, dangled it in front of the bass, brought the bass in without the bass ever even being hooked. Pulled the blue-gill out of the bass' mouth, weighed the bass, and threw them both back. That was 25 years ago, but I like to imagine she's still circling that drop-off, waiting for small blue-gill. And no, I'm not gonna say what she weighed.
Yup, that always happens when a bass nose dive into the weed, those old bass knows a few tricks. The moment they get you stuck on the weed they just shuck once and they are gone.

There were several times in the video I caught myself smiling just subconsciously

His tackle box probably looks like a zoo with all the animal baits hes bought
He even got the Chewbacca lure somewhere in there
