    Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

    Several takeaways; 1. that's one of the most impressive freshwater videos I've seen on RUclips. 2. Sweet release. 3. You've got quality tackle and quality camera gear. Invest $30 in a couple of sand spikes. As a guy who beach sharks, it's going to be a sick feeling to watch hundreds of dollars worth of rod and reel launch off that muddy bank being towed by one of those dinosaurs. Even with a light drag or open bail your line could wrap a guide or backlash that conventional. 4. Still impressive AF! Subbed.

    • @rham5817
      @rham5817 2 года назад +7

      When I was eighteen or so, I was fishing on the beach with my bestfriend and this exact situation happened. The rod just shot onto the sand I was lucky to be fast enough getting out of the chair and onto the sand to catch it before we lost the whole thing. We ended up bringing in a 3 or so foot shark at that. But man, if it wanted to that thing could've been gone.

    Yup. A offshoot of buffalo bayou ran by the campus and I would go there all the time. I remember the urban youth looking at me like "what are you doing?" But for me it was a private fishing spot. Big Gar, Big Bass, big grass carp, big koi fish, big cats. Now they're turning it into a park and cutting the vegetation away and landscaping it to make it more accessible. So rip to that spot lol

    5:00 personally I think (and am biased bc i catch them all the time lol) Blue Catfish are the prettiest due to their blue/purple/silver pattern that i find in Falcon Lake here in TX, but yes indeed, very nice looking flathead, awesome video 👏

      My opinions the same, i came from Michigan, could find channels anywhere i went. Ran into my first blue in Illinois, at 11 or 12, caught 12 total, 3.5-5.5lb blues out a big river many foggy years ago, first time id ever seen them, and while we ate them all of course, and they were delicious, i couldnt get over that foggy gunmetal blue.

      He's in downtown Spokane and the Spokane Riiver is highly polluted. They have signs all along the river telling people to shower immediately after swiming and the fish are contaminated with mercury from the old gold mines in Idaho as well as other toxins. In other words don't eat the fish.
