    Thanks for making this video! I have yet to pull the trigger on one of these beauties... it was nice to see them from different angles, and how they work.

    All the chrome plate came off my poker. So now I have an all brass poker on an all chrome lined Old Boy. Mine has worked flawlessly since I got it almost a year ago. And I use mine everyday 20 times a day every day. I'm very very pleased with the Corona Old Boy. I wonder if the Xikar old boys are as good as these. Good upload!

      If you are speaking of the Xikar Pipeline, I tried it out because I didn’t want to shell out the money for the IM Corona. The phrase you get what you pay for reigns true here. I thought Xikar’s version felt very cheap. Definitely not worth $60 at all. BUT, it did work. Lit every time. Just not worth the money in my opinion. More like a $15-$25 dollar lighter. Cheers.

    The end of the tamper does work on the flame adjust screw. You just use it horizontally or you could very easily sand that down to make flat.

    I bought similar ones but they had the shapes of different pipes and what they're called from amazon for almost 35 dollars (I'm not in the US but it was 366,69 Swedish crowns or SEK). I'm waiting for them but I bought, second hand zippo style lighter with a hole in it, not a zippo-like insert, and in Art Deco style. That works wonderfully.

    Great video, thanks for the review. I love the pipe. What brand/model?

    I have a couple Kiribi but been curious. I grew up when gold was considered gawdy. So… I went with that for a change. I wanted the briar of course but a little worried about that cracking if I dropped it or anything. Those are both ones I looked into for sure. I’ve not even lit mine yet. Got it earlier today and just filled it. It’s smaller than I expected but not a bad thing at all. Thx for the vid!

    Nice lighters, I dont own one, and since I will not be using the built in tamper, I oredered the Peterson which dont have it, instead uses the space for more gas capability in the tank. We shall see how that one performs. Thanks for video.

    I have the gold and briar, I like the lighter, I only use it while at my des, however I am very dissapointed on th plating... The gold plating has worn badly on the bottom . I wonder if you will have the same issue in time?

    • @mikehubble8976
      @mikehubble8976 3 месяца назад

      Gold is such a soft material to begin with and plating is so thin, it doesn't really stand a chance on a lighter. Chrome is lot harder wearing of a finish. I have a gold Linge 2 and I only set it down on soft surfaces, lap or right back in the pocket.

    A good lighter is worth its weight in gold. Price isn’t too high especially when compared to my S.T. Dupont.

    Your comment on 4:32 is actually doable, you just have to put the poker in an angle or sideways and not straight into it. Enjoy your lighters!

      @@d1gitaldeath i know what you mean, but if you open it, to fill it up, you´ll see the butane injector. And just a quick adwise, don´t fire up a pipe with jet fire... it´s too hot for the bruyere pipe wood, always use soft flames for it bro..
