- The S2 Custom 24 takes the original PRS guitar, the Custom 24, and re-imagines it with stripped-down features and a new aesthetic. Retaining the classic maple top/mahogany back combination with our classic body shape and an asymmetrical beveled top, this guitar has a resonant, powerful voice. Its versatility comes from its 85/15 “S” pickups with push/pull tone knob, and 3-way blade switch. Familiar for PRS players of old, and a fresh take for players of all types.

Great explanation. I couldn’t agree more. I was a shredder for years before I discovered the blues/jazz and overall great songwriting. Music is supposed to be beautiful, not fast all the time

I agree. He plays by feeling the music and adding TOO it, not just trying to show off on how many notes he can play. Plus it helps that he knows many genres. He also plays alot of riffs with melody character that can stand alone without any background tracks. Signs of a great guitarist.

I thoroughly enjoy your videos, Jonathan!!! My Custom 24 S2 has a pattern standard neck carve, which I really enjoy. It’s kind of like the Les Paul slim taper 60s neck shape but with the wonderful 10” radius. Anyway, I think that the S2 series pretty much provides incredible bang for the buck!

wow; what an intro and what a beautiful tone and voice the S2 has; so refreshing to hear your musicianship; your gift is rare; i have to go back a long way since i saw such versatility; congrats on knowing how to make a beautiful instrument sing so well; Jon i am wanting to adjust the string action on my guitars to a low setting. It looked to me like that prs string action was set lowish; Do you by chance happen to have any advice on the instructions i should give to the luthier in terms of the measurements. Appreciate any advice. JP
If you are brave enough..you can do it yourself...all you need is the right tool. or get a trusted luthier

I bought this S2 about a month ago in the Gray/Black fade. Since then I have bought two more. SE's. What's happened to me? Have I entered into a PRS Subscription that I just want to keep buying more of them?
been there...but out of it ...hahaha
My only concern with S2 is that it's made in the USA but with the import pickups, so it may not sound different form SE versions that costs much less than S2. I am leaning more toward CE or S2 10th anniversary that has the US made pickups.
i have played both S2s and the SE models...The S2s are of better quality in my opinion
Between this and S2 Custom 24 35th Anniversary which one is more better,Thanks .

The colour is a vast improvment over the pale looking SE until you ask the price!
Price aside, for me the contol layout is all wrong, the volume knob is where
the switch should be, and the tone knob is way too far away.🤔
Great sounding guitar, but for this money i would go for a top end Schecter.

Some of the Bonnie pink prs guitars aren't very pink at all idk but it's like the cheap ones look more pink or is it just me.
