I must say thank you Sir for your videos. I had already referred someone before finding your videos. But your videos were the foundation I needed to help me during Onboarding. With your videos and their pre-trip packet. I’m official now. I’m here now as a Walmart Driver. Praise God!! Driver number 71873. May God continue to bless you Sir.
I assume someone demonstrates the entire thing at the beginning, correct? If so, would I be allowed to record it on my phone so I can study it after class each day?
@RushinTruckin just look at the newest version i have done Don't miss your majors 100 lug nuts, tug test, seat belt, no space between the trailer and fifth wheel, tandem pins out on both sides, and fifth wheel jaws wrapped around the kingpin. Everything else you well get a booklet for in class.
I just passed on boarding and a few things I want you guys to know I was in California. You cannot use “it’s good” in any of the pre-trip assessment. Also, you can save time during the drive tires by knocking out the front in the back at the same time, but you still have to inspect it. You can’t just look at it or point it a lot of time. And also second major tip when you are on a single lane and making a left turn and there is two lanes in California you have to use the right outside lane. I tried to use the advice I got on this channel making the inside lane and then going over to my right, and I failed my first drive test Because that does not apply in California
@@Smooth00EThe new verbiage is along the lines of a cdl test. Properly mounted and secured, not cracked, not broken. Example: My front and rear spring hangers are properly mounted and secured, my leaf springs aren’t cracked or broken. There are two u-bolts attached to the axle with 4 nuts, and the axle is straight.
I didn’t pass so I have to go back in August and try again. I think it was sabotage. Because I passed everything else along with eight of us, but we all had to come back that Friday to take the final final test as he says two final test which was told it was one final test Thursday and I passed on Thursday but they wanted me to do the backing because Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, I put the trailer in the hole in nine minutes with no problems but Friday they put me in another area and that’s when I try to back in and hit a trailer. I think that the area was too small not the same measurements as the place where I was Monday through Thursday. In the Walmart, Recruiter told a few of us to quit our jobs because we already had the job we just had to go through orientation me personally I asked what the end orientation consist of. He said you only thing you have to do is backing do a pre-trip and drive after that you good to go on Thursday we get there Monday. The whole class is confused because what was told to usin the classroom versus what was told us the recruiters mind you is more than one. Recruiter is telling us different things but saying the same thing was different than when we got them Monday.
I'm sorry to hear that That's some bs to make you doing again on Friday after during well on Thursday. Then, if you fail one assessment on Friday, come back in two months is crazy
Been a driver since 2006 with Swift. I've never seen team Walmart at any truck stops or across the country, unless the other team driver is in the back. Plenty of FedEx team though.
Walmart, this needs to be reevaluated in a rational way. Your driver is saying,” He is tired”; “ He is hot”. Your inspection need to be practical & sustainable in a routine work environments.
The fact that it’s acceptable to you to take an 80,000lb vehicle on the road and risk killing people with a dropped trailer on the interstate due to a failed lockjaw that you chose not to observe because you were “hot” is the reason you are not a Walmart driver.

They can fail u if u don't say no daylight between the apron and 5th wheel and your 5th wheel handle is in and bolt is in

@@Smooth00E is the pay and benefits good?
So is it true you have to do the backing the driving and the pre-trip three times a day three days in a row?
Yes
@@Smooth00Ethere are herbal supplements to make your thinking quicker have you heard of this ecron?
Walmart is the most overkill micro managed BS in the trucking business. And yes I am a Private Fleer alum. Definitely don’t miss it either
The pre-trip at onboarding has recently changed. Can’t say “all good” or in “good shape”.
What do they say now

Does walmart run teams out of everywhere or just certain locations?
Not sure can't really answer that.

Different location, not sure which ones
@DecrepitBiden they are out there
You just might not notice because driver that supposed to be sleeping usually is
La grange
Opelika
Etc. Call the dc transportation near you
What is the time frame on the pretrip?
30 minutes
You failed you didn't check the driver side log nuts or rim
@stevecarr1285 good thing I didn't do that when I was doing on-boarding
