Vietnam changed me so much that I cried (Da Nang)

  • This video is about Da Nang in central Vietnam, which is not comparable to Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi in the North. Vietnam has 3 distinct regions with each having a local dialect. I can't speak of the North because I never been there and Ho Chi Minh is okay, but I love Da Nang. So hear me out during this summary of my experiences and watch the rest of video for proof.
From the moment I arrived at the airport, the city is very close to the airport without much traffic. The price to quality ratio is incredible for Da Nang and the locals are amazing. I went during the low season which is between october and january so weather was cool, not hot and not cold with a some rainy days.
Grab drivers arrive quickly, even in seconds after booking on the app. They never overcharged me.
I had my guard up realizing that the north and south have scams but I was never scammed in Da Nang. People will greet you even if they don't speak English.
Food in Vietnam is some of the healthiest in southeast Asia and very afforadable when you consider a bowl of soup with beef for $2.
    Banh mi sandwiches for $1.
While most of the city has Vietnamese restaurants, the My Anh neighborhood is full of international restaurants which are also very affordable between 5 to 10 US dollars per meal.
Many vietnamese people are great singers and their songs are inspirational to learn Vietnamese.
When I took the time to start learning Vietnamese, people opened up to me. I even found a place that offered free Vietnamese classes.
The venues I frequently visited called me the nickname "Hoc Tieng Viet". Some of them even gave me free beer and snacks.
The more I spoke the more they liked me.
You know, it must be like this because people are not so stressed with the high living expenses of Ho Chi Minh but that's just my guess. Even other Vietnamese people told me how much they love Da Nang and its kindness.
Perhaps it could be Buddhism since I got more into asian cultures and their religion, the more happiness I discovered. Buddhism taught my so much about life, how to find happiness, meditation and gratitude that we never talk or hear about in America.
If you seek happiness in life, learn about buddhism and southeast Asia.

Thanks, that means a lot! It's a life changing place for me including the inspirational and happy locals. I was only able to learn Vietnamese because of the positive reinforcement and patience I experienced there. I hope the Vietnamese are just as kind where you live in Norway

welcome to Vietnam.

"Everyone is getting the Dengue Fever from mosquitos in Danang " . When and where did you get that news ? or it was another fake news ? I am currently in Danang for more than a month now and so far have never heard of that Deng Fever epidemic here .

Fake news, there is no dengue fever epidemic, Western media always spreads fake news about socialist countries.
