Yes my guess is that a developer bought several plots of lands next to each other to build like 10 of the same house. There's 2 groups of houses like that.

I spent months exploring DaNang to find cool, local, nice neighborhoods. Family oriented, walkable, not too chaotic.
My two favorites are To Huu Street (near the foreign language university) and An Nhon.
If youre still looking for a new place, i highly recommend checking them out.

    Hi David,
Wife and I were in Da Nang a few weeks ago and we absolutely loved it! We stayed near My Khe Beach, we walked the promenade and beaches and honestly, we thought we were in Ft Lauderdale-Miami Beach! lol.
The foods were so good and affordable. We loved the Ban Xeo place (Ban Xeo Duong?) in particular. And yes, thanks to you and Kim we ate at the seafood place you guys ate at and it was delicious!

I agree with you that Da Nang is going to be a big tourist destination in the future. It has everything that a nice tourist destination has-beautiful beaches, rivers, beautiful hotels, nice weather, etc.Ive been there twice, once in 2015 and later in 2023. I saw alot of changes in just 8 year period and the city has a lot of potential to grow even bigger and better to become the next tourist destination.
As for location, I like the My khe areas even though the houses are not as nice as this area. I prefer the beach scenery over the river scenery.

    • @TravelWithNala
      @TravelWithNala  5 часов назад

Yeah I think most people prefer the beach side. It’s the quintessential vacation vibe. There’s a lot more nice houses being built in My An you would be surprised. They’re just a little hidden and scattered so harder to find. We would probably be in My An if we didn’t have to commute into the city often

      Cant say that!!
      1) YEARLY PROPERTIES TAXES KN VIETNAM IS CHEAP & AFFORDABLE!!
You know why mostly RICH US & WESTERN they can buy 2 or 3 house & beach house & villages moutain house or OLD MANSION but mostly they don’t buy it’s.
I saw alots CASTLE SOLD IN UK, FRANCE for like 100.000USD but it selling for 5y & one no will buy it!!
Because OWNERS BUY THEM BUT DONT LIVE AT THE HOUSE, THEY HAVE TO PAY HIGH YEARLY PROPERTIES TAXES!!
In alots WESTERN COUNTRY, SECOND HOME YEARLY TAXES IS HIGH & EXPENSIVE, but second home house with no one use (owner not stay to living there usually, just visit 2 times/year during season, & cant rental for no one, so the house mean no people living) IT WILL ADD ANOTHER TAXES, it’s double taxes!!
That’s why alots MIDDLE CLASS & EVEN RICH PEOPLE IN US & WESTERN is not want to buy second house or old castle, because yearly properties taxes for second house can reach to 30% of the cost they buy the house. IT RIDICULOUS WASTE!!
      2) Vietnam use to be POOR & mostly city street schemes used to be small.
Now, thoundsand & millions live there, it not easy to ask & pay for millions family to moves so GORVEMENT CAN BREAK ALL THESE HOUSE & BUILD THE STREET BIGGER!!
It’s important & will cost trillions USD dollars just to do this!!
So nowadays people & gorvement still use & accept old & small streets.
Its doesn’t mean it poor, it because its old CBD & central areas
      3) There are alots apartments & villas build outside of city , bigger & new & devolvep, but it’s still COUNTRYSIDE!!
These people is have company or offices or they’re working in CITY!!
Everyday to ride cars or motorcycle into city, it’s stressful & wasteful times & tired if you do that EVERYDAY!!
      4) these place might small for US & WESTERN because THE HOUSE IS 80sqm2 or 120sqm to 150m2 with 3 ground floors.
BUT AS I SAY, it’s stay in inside city & from this you can go to everywhere, you have EVERYTHING YOU NEED JUST IN SECOND OR FEWS MINUTES!!
      5) The house stay in good area, which have all middle class or rich people, less crimes, security in night is good.
      6) HOUSE IN VIETNAM IS NOT JUST HOUSE!!
They can be house & offices, or house & hotels, or shophouse at the ground floor or rental.
That’s why no matter US & WESTERN think why rich people buy & stay in 100sqm build 3 floor house in small busy street but it’s extremely EXPENSIVE!!
They dont & hard can understand but for Vietnam it just that way & easy can understand
You think these people only have 1 house there. They do have beach house & moutain villas house or luxury apartments!! But alots of them chose to stay & live there!!
These others place just use for holidays or rental out for airbnb.
If they don’t live at these house, they can rental for restaurants or company or banks official, it can be 3000 - 6000$/month (depend on street local & how big the house & how much floors) there are even more higher if the house is stay in central location of district & the house is bigger & high floor build. It’s can rental to 8000 - 20.000$/month!!
If these rich people buy LUXURY MANSION OR PENHOUSE, no where the rental can be good like this!!
But their apartments or villas in countryside, not even rental that high price!!
This is why middle class & rich people still buy these type of house!!

real estate prices in Vietnam are absolutely insane relative to what you can charge for rent. My suspicion is that due to rampant inflation lasting for decades people would rather overpay for real estate than watch their savings disappear from currency debasement. A little exaggerated. You can get a banh mi que for 0.20 which is the skinny banh mi. It's more a breadstick than a sandwich. You can find a banh mi with no meat, like veggies and egg, for 0.$60. A banh mi with pork or beef will start around $1.00. If you're a westerner you'll probably ask for extra meet which bumps the price up. I wonder how the insect/lizard situation changes when you have a high rise condo vs a house at ground level. I'd hope it's the same as this spot is very urban although I have doubts. Imagine fighting ant invasions while trying to work on your computer, waking up with cockroaches hissing cause they walked on you attracted to the heat of your bed and then when you go to shower there's of course a lizard in the shower and his friends have been pooping all over the walls all over the place. Then you open a window for some fresh air and wasps come in. So you were trying to work but instead must fight these creatures sleep deprived.

We're happy if we end up staying but we want to try something new. We also want it easier to take our big Husky out for walks (plus a yard is a bonus). The elevators in a big building can often be slow and packed and sometimes ppl make a big deal about a big dog. I also like to go in and out of the house often to go around town and that's much easier in a house. For example it can take 5 min just to get out of the building here while in that same time I can drive to most places in Da Nang.
