I enjoyed watching your videos. Kim is pretty with a nice voice. You’re one lucky guy! I’m half Chinese and half Vietnamese. My husband is 100% Korean. We are going to visit Seoul and Busan this coming June. Looking forward to seeing Day 2 vid.
My wife and I were in Vietnam for 10 days this past February. We ate and drank everywhere in Saigon, Da Nang, and Hoi An and we were fine. Kim just being overly protective of you. She is so cute and sweet. Ironically enough, the only place that I ever got food poisoning from was an Outbreak Steakhouse in Seoul, Korea.
Haha Kim got food poisoning a couple times in Da Nang so she’s overly cautious. I’m the type to eat things off the floor with no problem but because i had 3 people to take care of this trip I decided to play it safe. Next time I’m eating EVERYTHING!!
25:50 "vú sữa" with a v, the red fruit is wax apple, the bumpy green fruit is cherimoya. It's not that mangoes in VN are hard and crunchy, you can find fully ripened yellow/orangy ones as well as green ones which are used in salads and rolls. 48:30 mantis shrimp.
The trees are painted white to repel the extreme heat and keep the temperature under control, plus the paint keeps away the bugs and insects laying eggs or eating up the wood.
Bro for the most part everything you see is pretty good, but if it looks way too sketchy then don’t touch. For the most part all the food and drinks are good. just have some Pepto-Bismol nothing serious.
Good advice gotta have pepto bismo on the ready. I got more of an iron stomach than Kim but she’s looking out for me. I did get a scratchy throat from the ice though
Cool! Yeah I learned it all depends on where the ice comes. Most restaurants and cafes have thee own ice machines. You want to avoid the ice that arrives in big bags.
Hello David and Kim, just came across your vlog! We would like to visit Korea, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam someday! Hope you will do Vlogs for people like us that R Middle Income! Like the tour that U did here in Vietnam! Hope you will do more Vlogs, for Good Cheap food in Vietnam and some other countries in ASIA, that people like us can afford to eat and explore! Heard the Korea is expensive and Japan too! But with your help, maybe U can introduce to us the reasonable places to stay and eat? Of course, shld be clean and modest location! Continue your journey with Kim and please share! GOD BLESS
Hey! Luckily there's so much great food in Da Nang and almost all of it is very affordable. Korea and Japan and much more expensive but still much cheaper than LA where we're from. We're planning to make a trip to Japan as well in the near future and we're excited to share that journey too!
Tourist traps in Vietnam is still more affordable compared to other places .... and the service is amazing because they hired worker that speaks multiple languages .... 'got to love Vietnam for that kind of effort. In my opinion, the set up is similar anywhere in the world, where you will pay more for the same item if you go into a fancy establishment vs. the local market .... and Vietnam is no different guys.
Hi David and Kim, I’m a new subscriber. I just came across your channel. I’m really enjoying your content. I watch a lot of RUclipsrs. Most of my interests tend to be in travel, language, and animals, relocating overseas, especially dogs and orangutans. Btw, to tell you a little about myself, I’m an African American, 68 years young, plump, straight, mostly retired woman who appreciates diversity and good people. I’m from Chicago, born and raised. I’ve traveled to many areas in the world, but have not yet been to Asia. I’m wondering, since you had mentioned that there are No Stop signs in Viet Nam, how do blind people manage crossing the streets safely? I never new there weren’t any Stop 🛑 signs there. Continue making good and interesting content. I love learning new things.
Hey nice to meet you! Tbh I don’t think blind people in Da Nang are traveling around on their own. But the cars and scooters are good at avoiding people. You just walk at a steady pace and everyone goes around you
The lady buddha was actually erected to protect the Fishermans and the city from typhoons and hurricanes. Legend said once she was erected they haven't had any major storms that hurt the fisherman and city anymore.
Vietnam is still developing but this progress is awesome. There’s some streets in Hoi An that are now blocked from traffic and it makes a huge difference
Hope, wishing and praying Lady Buddha to protects you as fisherman working everyday in the open sea, isn’t a “made up” thing. You just want to survive the odds. 😊
영어 듣기하려고 영상 보고 있는데 종종 나오는 한국어가 정감가네요. ㅎㅎ 교포이신거 같은데 한국어 발음이 좋네요. 안전하고 즐거운 여행 하세요. I'm watching your video to improve english listening skill. I can sometime hear your korean. It's really good. I think you must be korean american, right? You have a good korean pronunciation. I wish you could have a safe and good travel.
Yay thank you! My mom and aunt from Korea were with us so I was trying to talk to the camera in English, talk to them in Korean, and trying to learn Vietnamese at the same time 😂. I tried to edit out all the Korean talking but there was too much to get it all out
I don't know if David is kidding. Poor Kim. David kept accusing of Kim making things up (90% of the time). I think Kim is correct on her facts. Keep up the good work.
Oh yeah I'm eating all the ice. I still avoid the big block ice that some places put into beer cups. I saw how those get delivered and they definitely do not look clean haha.
Gotta make our way to Sydney at some point too. In Da Nang we stayed at Altera Suites (in this vlog) and Cecilia penthouses at the end. In Hoi An we stayed in Hoi An Memories Resort
I assume Kim is Korean by her name but I also think she is Vietnamese-American. The cost of living in DN is quite low in compared with TP.HCM and HN so you both should be fine. There are couple of RUclips channels by some American guys who are living in DN, too, with under $1000/month you can see and may be getting something out of them.
We stayed at altera suites, Hoi a memories, and the Cecelia penthouses. All were great but on the pricier side. There a lot of affordable quality hotels in da nang too. We stayed in one in our Luxury Apartments hunting vlog for about $20 a night
@@TravelWithNalathere are elephants in Vietnam if you are not sarcastic. They are in Pleiku and Daklak which are beautiful places. You guys should also check out Ha Giang and Hoang Su Phi as well (August to early October), they are spectacular.

thank Koreans for coming to Vietnam and supporting the locals here.
Thanks to the Vietnamese people for being so welcoming

Love Da Nang, such a nice, friendly and vibrant city. Great Vlog guys.🤩
Thanks! We had so much fun. Da Nang is going to have to be a regular visit for us
Rau mung is called morning glory in English and cant go wrong with it. Those were mantis shrimps btw.
Oh that’s so cool! Learned 2 new things today thanks!

Good info. That’s makes way more sense
I'll be going to Da Nang for 3 weeks starting end of Nov 2024, Lord willing. Thanks for sharing. Smooth video, easy on the eye and pleasant to hear.
Nice! I’m sure you’ll have so much fun!
I'll be in Hanoi and Da Nang end of November - mid December. It's going to be so much fun!

It’s a great place to retire for sure
Thank you for seemingly always seeing the positive! It's helps me much!
Its easy in a wonderful city like Da Nang
My new favorite channel. Interesting comparison of Vietnam & Korea vocab, phrases and culture. Keep up great vlogs 🎉❤⭐👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Visited the same nail spot, simply elegant, so good! I trust the ice though and the milk tea across the street was great 😂

Kim very cute 👍🏼
The pagoda, though newly built, is indeed a sacred place to locals. It just happened that tourists like it.
The whole area is really beautiful. We saw lots of locals praying in the temples and lighting incense

The mantis shrimp were so good but hard to eat
Kim is correct and didn’t make it up regarding the lady Buddha
Thanks! Is Kim correct about not letting me eat the street food and ice? 😂
Nooo... Elephant pants, bad...😆
