All new cars/trucks are made that way with cheap plastics. If u want better quality plastics, expect to pay wayyyy more that that & u & everyone are already complaining about its price
I think Toyota should have kept the v6 and just upgraded it and fixed it's problems. I still have a problem with that 4 banger engine out doing the V6 come on Toyota get with the times .
Air is composed of 78pct Nitrogen, and the most nitrogen that can be physically pumped into a tire is 95pct so, you are paying 2 grand for an extra 17pct of Nitrogen that will get you 0.01 pct better gas mileage, theoretically. And being that all tires leak regardless of the atmospheric composition within the tire, and being that most people don't have nitrogen charge kits in their garages, you're tire will reach atmospheric equilibrium within 6 months or less.
In my area one these 2024 trd off is 53,000 plus 8500 mofo dealer add on! That’s fing ridiculous!!! Big hell no they can rot on the lots for that bullshit price
I think my 2018 tacoma was a lot cheaper inside like dash l like my 2024 tacoma TRD off-road so much better they improved everything from 3rd generation
4th generation Tacoma is too pricey 💩. Someone will attempt to make $1400 payments on a 7 year loan 😂 probably get a visit from repoman. Like your vids and commentary.
That’s true my friend. Like is said in the vid, they really should have just refined the V6 and kept it as an option. They’d probably can the 4cyl after seeing what sells. Kind of kicking myself for not getting a 23
So to sum up the brand new 2024 Toyota Tacoma will grenade it's front differential from light off roading, it's transmission will overheat towing a modest load in winter, and dealers are installing $4,000.00 worth of smoke on the truck and calling it an appearance package. AWESOME, TOTALLY AWESOME.
I was between the new Ranger, which has been successful internationally, and this new Tacoma. The Tacoma is overpriced for what it is. The interior looks very cluttered and like its trying too hard to come off as "rugged". Not to mention some parts look old and outdated. The backseat strap thing is also cheap but not a deal breaker. It comes with smaller screens that look old and the bigger ones are very expensive and look like aftermarket glued on tablets. Compared to the Ranger which also has hard plastics, the Ranger definitely looks cleaner and way better in my opinion. Modern, nice center console, nice big screen design. Not trying too hard for the "tough rugged guy" look. Its better integrated and executed in my opinion. Bigger screens and better interface as standard across all models. Not to mention more comfortable nd spacious. And last, a reliable proven engine. For less money than these TRDs. Since I can also order just how i like it without extras i dont want or need, I went with Ranger.
Why do some Sports have the black hood scoop and other Sport models they are white? Also there are no interior upper grab handles on the driver side , only on the passenger side
Good review. Although I find my 23, manual, Off-road Premium drives great and has all the tech I will ever need, all for just under $42k so I don’t understand all the complaining about the 3rd gen.
I had trouble with my 2016 trd sport but no issues with my 2021 TRD OR. I’m going to get another one at some point. Manual transmission fixes a lot of the problems people had with the 3rd gen. I’ve got sweet manual old Ranger which is why I haven’t picked up another Tacoma yet.
My favorite Toyota Tacoma is the 2 dr PreRunner which has the TRD trim. If people could actually purchase one for the MSRP of $38k I believe Toyota would sell a ton of them. Not everyone needs a 4 dr.
I honestly think it will fare well in the long run. After all it is a first year production vehicle. There's gonna be problems no matter what. I remember when the 2016s came out there were problems with leaking rear differentials causing damage aswell as transmission hesitation. People said the same thing then but toyota ended up fixing it by the next model year and it became one of their most reliable trucks. Of course time will tell, but I have as much faith in toyota as I always have.
@@DevisedEliteCorrect. When the 16’s came out, I waited and got one the next year, 50k miles w/o a problem. That being said, I definitely wouldn’t buy the first 2 years of this particular generation. But I do think it will grow to become a reliable, yet still overpriced mid sized pickup.
Overreactions like that will have you out of the frying pan and into the fire. The big 3 have all sorts of weird design flaws and oversights inside their engines and transmissions. Look up grid heater bolts, premature lifter failure, hemi tick, ford 10 speed clunks and jerks and whines, cam phaser failures, cp4 fuel pump recall, etc etc.
Commenting always will bring in another opinion or perspective and in this case some very good advice. What I could have added in my statement in conclusion was to not waste your money on this dishonestly way over priced first year model disaster and who will be dumb enough to think they fixed it on the second model year?
I like how he said "in 2023 a Tacoma Sport would cost $39K". In November of 2022 i bought my 2023 Tacoma Sport BRAND NEW for $36.5K..............IF it was $39K i would not have bought it.
@@revnation_auto I did not get a discount..........i wish!! That was the MSRP As stated earlier IF it was $39K i would NOT have bought it. In 2023 the prices went up around $3K on the MSRP.

The old V6 is a shit 🤷♂️
Looks like Hall Toyota is charging for $1,995 for Nitrogen (basically air) in the tires. Run away from the that dealership!!!

Outdated trash.
Excellent review. Going out to buy one. Cool truck!

XP is a joke. It is like selling a chewing gum for $100.

toyota should of made the air scoop functional necause the motor has a tutbo you need to keep the engine bay kooler
Toyota just loves those hideous predator steps.. lol
They blow, I’ve had them twice unfortunately
as much as toyota demands "YOU LOVE THE 4 BANGER TURBO"..........consumers are saying......no, we don't

Meh. I like em. To each their own
Who installed the package? it comes from factory?
The Southeast Toyota distribution center. They are the ones who do the XP package.
😆 I found my 2022 interior way more cheap than the new 2024, i really like this new Taco 🤷♂️
the 2024 interior is cheap plastic and gives a lego block vibe
@@billw8476 not really, the interior is much more luxurious and of good quality also in the gen4
@@TOUCTI yes, really. i am correct.
That hood scoop looks like the air vent in my attic.

Pretty much
Frontier Pro4x looks better and better everyday. and you can get good deals on them.
Too pricey for what you get. More than a ZR-2 and close to Ranger Raptor for a pretty basic truck.
Yep, they are totally mental on price

Thanks for keeping it real. Forcing that xp pack on all the early southeast builds is garbage.
Can’t wait to see what quarterly sales figures will look like after people get sticker shock.

Perhaps, most of the other manufacturers don’t sell very many king cabs or single cabs outside of fleet sales.
So far they break in 4wheel drive going up hill. One video already showed the SDD drive selector and front dif breaking. Don't waste your money!

Maybe a treat for a mechanic with the new transmission Overheating.the 4 wheel drive front differential, broken. And possible electrical problems.
Yep, good news for them
Heheheh, the engine sound is what I hate, sound force motor and in long period time, for many years we will have a problem.
Rubbish . I'll take the Frontier Pro4X
Great review. Out of all I’ve seen.
Thanks mate!
FAILURE THAT PUCK UP!!
Nice looking truck but its a little cheap putting a air scoop on a four banger.
