Ms. Lori , its funny how like minds we have, My Hubby just made a double batch od Pesto a few days ago , for the nuts he used walnuts as we could not find pine nuts in our tiny town here in Texas. I must say I could not tell there was much a difference in taste . Yum still great on Pasta , chicken or just in an omelet . . I also formented many cucumbers and now I am enjoying a cold glass of cucumber water. . Ninette Bird - The Caribbean Wife
Sounds wonderful!

If you don’t mind, I’d love to know where you got your small chicken house. It looks like it might be really sturdy as so many aren’t. So enjoy your videos. Thank you for going to all the trouble of making them! God bless you both.

Thanks for showing us how to do all these things you do.to preserve our food.
My pleasure 😊
Hi Lori you know the pesto is usually puréed and I too just do it in bigger more junkier. That’s more pleasure in eating the pasta with some substantial pieces of basil, nuts .I never saw cabbage done preserved that way. How interesting. You can see the brine on the outside of the jar. Mr. Brown thank you for showing these beautiful chickens. The have a beautiful setting to live.Ducks are so cute. Thanks for showing your herbs that you’ve dried and put them in canning jars. We do that too.👍👍❤️❤️🌷🌷

I like to use the food saver to freeze my garden goods. It sucks out all the air and it doesn’t get freezer burned. Your grand babies are beautiful!

Hey, Mrs. Lori, and Mr. Brown, I was in 4-H, back when I was in school. Boy that was a long time ago, but I was on the poultry judging team that represented our state at the National Poultry Judging Contest. We hsd to know all kinds of things. We judged eggs, chickens dressed birds, and turkeys. We also had to know all kindz of facts, one was and it may be different now, but chickens can start laying anytime after 22 weeks old.

Hello sweet friend😊 I am like you and I tell folks, it’s okay to do things by hand. Can be relaxing if we let it. 👍🏽 Love the idea of a feather bed down in the well house😍Thanks for sharing😘katie
Oh, Lori. You're singing my song talking about putting the basil pesto on the pizza instead of the sauce. I absolutely love basil pesto!
Thank you for sharing this video. Very informative. Loved it ... Thank you very much.
Many of the herbs come back yearly. I have sage on the east side of my house that’s over 5 years old, it has a nice fragrant when the wind blows or you rub against it. I plant two types of basil. I planted Dill for the first time this year, surprisingly it did well.
I love pesto with a warm loaf of good bread and grated parm. Piece of bread..dip in pesto then cheese. Delicious. I used to help my grandma make Kraut. She used big crocks. She also made pickled corn...it was the best.
