Full Recipes:
1. Milo cookies cereal
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup milo powder
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
5 tbsp melted unsalted butter
¼ cup sugar
1 tbsp honey
1 egg
3 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 150°C, and grease baking sheet with butter
2. Whisk dry ingredients in a large bowl; flour, milo powder, baking soda, salt
3. Whisk wet ingredients in another bowl; melted butter, sugar, honey, egg, milk, vanilla extract.
4. Pour dry ingredients in 3 batches into wet ingredients and mix till well-combined.
5. Pour mixture in squeeze bottle and squeeze small dollops of dough out.
6. Bake for 8 mins and cool for 5 mins.
7. Enjoy with milk as a cereal, and dust extra milo powder on top
2. Cream Cheese Garlic Bread
Ingredients:
2 slices of soft bread
Half block of cream cheese, room temperature
15g sugar
30g cooking cream
130g unsalted butter, melted
60g minced garlic
1 egg
50g condensed milk
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp dried parsley
½ teaspoon salt
Steps:
1. Use a spatula to soften the cream cheese blocks in a mixing bowl
2. Add in sugar and mix till well incorporated then add cooking cream for that IG worthy ooze later.
3. Cut the crust off two slices of bread, spoon cream cheese in the middle of one slice, and cover with the second slice. Brush the edges with a bit of water and press down with a fork to seal.
4. For the garlic butter, add garlic, egg, condensed milk, honey, parsley and salt into a mixing bowl, and give it a good whisk.
5. Ladle a scoop of garlic butter onto heated pan and place the bread over. Cook for around 3 mins till crust turns brown.
6. Ladle another scoop of garlic butter over the bread and flip it to cook the other side.
7. Serve with more parsley sprinkled as a garnish.
3. Sushi Bake
Ingredients:
200g Cooked Rice
1½ tbsp Rice Vinegar
6 Crabsticks, minced (might try an egg mayo version instead since everyone just using crabstick online)
100g mango
3 Hard-boiled eggs
Nori Sheets
Japanese Mayonnaise
Furikake
Steps:
1. Preheat the oven at 175°C
2. Spoon some leftover rice into cup or baking pan, add rice vinegar and give a good mix.
3. Press rice down lightly and layer strips of nori on top, fully covering the rice.
4. Place shredded crabstick and mashed hard-boiled egg on top of the nori, followed by mango cubes and mayo.
5. Mix well without destroying the layers of rice and nori.
6. Sprinkle furikake on top and bake for 10mins
7. Serve hot
