just to educate our hosts and to anyone out there who dont know much about paneer, its actually a type of indian cottage cheese which is made by mixing citrus juices such as lime or lemon with milk which forms up curds. Once that is done, the curds are filtered out and tied tightly using a cheese cloth and hung up for a couple of days to become a solid cheese. Usually, the paneers that u guys had are ready made ones which are already processed for months and have additional preservatives to last in the market which is not wrong. However, a fresh paneer does make a difference as it has a distinct mild cheese/citrusy flavour to it. It can be typically be served as paneer butter masala, paneer tikka, palak paneer which are common north indian dishes while paneer 65 is more commonly found in the southern side of India. Almost every region has its own paneer dish, im just stating the popular ones only due to their availability and marketability in most restaurants and stalls. Paneer is not meant to be flavourful Fikah, similar like how mozzarella is, its meant to take in the flavour provided by other ingredients such as spices, herbs, other flavoured cheeses and many more...

U all lucky to get good seats. I went few weeks back on a weekday night after not having gone there for 10 years... suprised to see so crowded (a lot of tourist) and a lot of good food. A lot of Michelin recommended. I did not enough stomach space to try them all.
actually right the lau pa sat food choices the ones inside also surprised me. the last time I went there unplanned and had their indian fd. I was like weii how come so nice. it is the north indian style if I am not wrong and the spices all that on point. not like packaged food which they heat up like our #undertheblock mamak stalls. the malay food also surprised me too like eh so unexpected nice
